So I am hitting consistent 1:09.8 - 1:10.2 at Grand Valley East with my Civic at 276, which I think is alright. Not sure if I'll take it up to 286 or not.

I find that the middle sector is where time is gained/lost.


The hairpin has two lines that both work well, but each is dependent on the driver's style. They ultimately seem to be the same for lap times - unless Driver 1 uses Line A, but his driving style suits line B better.


I suggest people try to toy around with the hairpin there. Get used to wide entries (for overtakes on the exit, through the tunnel) and for shallow entries (inside moves into the hairpin overtake.)


Also, trail-braking through the lake-side corner (double-apex left-hander with concrete patch on outside) is advantageous.


Lastly, Grand Valley East, in the original direction, doesn't allow for much time to be gained through corner-cutting. You may use any hard surface on the circuit. Just don't cross the solid-yellow pit lines. The dotted ones in the last corner can/should be crossed. The concrete patch on the outside of the corner near the lake is acceptable for use, but don't hit the wall.

Message to everyone: I'm locking in your car colours this weekend. It will help me to sort teams by colours, etc.


Example:


Alpina BMW = white/silver
Championship Honda = white/black
Mazdaspeed Motorsports = black/orange
Sigdam Racing = orange/black
Pokémon Team X = white/blue
Racing Team Boss Monster = dark grey/green
Red Bull Racing = dark blue/red

Etc.


Those are the colours that will be used to distinguish teams on the points standings. Once they're locked in, they're locked in. Therefore, if you'd like to change Team Colours, change them before Friday's lock-in date.
