I'm having the same problem... Having to hold on to the passenger side of the center console when I'm turning right, lol. Mirrors look cool, kinda weird how narrow they are though-Not much room to the side.

Track pics are in! All the Agip banners made me think I was in Italy a few times, as the don't sell Agip here.

Glad you had a blast. A lot of great pics. Looking forward to seeing what racing seats you decide to go with.
I have a friend that works for Sonic Motors, so I might go with a set of those once they get back in stock. Damn port issues are holding up shipments.

You indeed do, and serious ones.

Lol, I remember when a friend of mine started tracking his 4th gen Camaro, he built up the entire mechanical aspect of the car, stroker LS, trans, suspension, he was even using semisliskcs... with the stock seats!!! I pestered him each and every time that he needed decent seats, that he was loosing entire seconds just hangin' on his wheel and he always disregarded the advice... until one day he drove another car which had racing buckets installed. Obviously this opened his eyes. Since then, the very first mod he does to every car he builds is seats, the idiot.

I've just been trying to save for an everyday car. The money it takes to buy nice seats, brackets, and harnesses could help me buy a nicer car. Having race buckets will make this car drive even worse on the street, increasing my need for an everyday car.

You could at the very least install a 4 point harness JUST FOR THE TRACK. You could run your regular 3 point seat belt for the street. Then when you hit the track hook up the 4 point. You already have the mini roll bar. You already have a horizontal bar to attach the belts to. Would be very easy and quite inexpensive. The 4 point harness would make a night and day difference locking you into the seat with very little movement on the track. If you have ever rode or driven a car with a 4 or 5 point harness you will know exactly what I am talking about.

If you have any questions about how to do this let me know. It really is one of the most inexpensive alternatives for someone that does not want to install racing seats into their daily driver.

Something like this. The lower lap belts would hook in where your current lap belts hook. The shoulder belts would hook up here in the #1 and #2 positions. Even though you don't have seat holes for the belts, it would still work.

Four point harness and stock seats isn't very safe imo. Nothing holding the belts from moving around above my shoulders. I'll just keep saving and do it right.

I am guessing you have never rode in a car or drove a car with a 4 or 5 point harness. When those are hooked up, you are not going ANYWHERE. You cant even turn at all to look behind you.

This is what it would look like with someone in the seat. As you can see, there is no way you are going anywhere.

I wonder if I could make a short (street legal) longtail for my car. This car does the straight at ACS around 140mph on the stock engine.

I'd imagine you need to relocate the tail lights and third brake light to the back, that'd at least be a start. I wonder if there's a certain law that prohibits such a big rear to tire gap.

That car does have relocated lights for sure. Maybe if mine were a bit shorter, I could keep them where they are.

Something like the 996 GT1.
