I'm getting too fast for the seat haha, need to upgrade. Thankfully haven't burned myself on it.
I have a friend that works for Sonic Motors, so I might go with a set of those once they get back in stock. Damn port issues are holding up shipments.Glad you had a blast. A lot of great pics. Looking forward to seeing what racing seats you decide to go with.
No! That's the whole point haha. White steering wheel, roll bar, shift knob...seats. All the tan carpets and interior pieces can be changed around it.Only if you reupholster the white parts in black.
Thanks Cano-senpai!I somehow had not seen the track day pics. Cool place. The car looks awesome, dammit.
You could at the very least install a 4 point harness JUST FOR THE TRACK. You could run your regular 3 point seat belt for the street. Then when you hit the track hook up the 4 point. You already have the mini roll bar. You already have a horizontal bar to attach the belts to. Would be very easy and quite inexpensive. The 4 point harness would make a night and day difference locking you into the seat with very little movement on the track. If you have ever rode or driven a car with a 4 or 5 point harness you will know exactly what I am talking about.I've just been trying to save for an everyday car. The money it takes to buy nice seats, brackets, and harnesses could help me buy a nicer car. Having race buckets will make this car drive even worse on the street, increasing my need for an everyday car.
I am guessing you have never rode in a car or drove a car with a 4 or 5 point harness. When those are hooked up, you are not going ANYWHERE. You cant even turn at all to look behind you.Four point harness and stock seats isn't very safe imo. Nothing holding the belts from moving around above my shoulders. I'll just keep saving and do it right.
Make a build thread here Garrett. Lots of Miata fans and owners.Canards!
nice edit, lmaoThis is what it would look like with someone in the seat. As you can see, there is no way you are going anywhere.

I figured as much. Its a good community though. We would enjoy your banter.I'm never on here, my last post was 2005! A decade ago. Just happen to run across this while searching google for R888 photos.
I'd imagine you need to relocate the tail lights and third brake light to the back, that'd at least be a start. I wonder if there's a certain law that prohibits such a big rear to tire gap.I wonder if I could make a short (street legal) longtail for my car. This car does the straight at ACS around 140mph on the stock engine.
That car does have relocated lights for sure. Maybe if mine were a bit shorter, I could keep them where they are.I'd imagine you need to relocate the tail lights and third brake light to the back, that'd at least be a start.
