^^

Soz for the double post i made it earlier this morning but something was wrong in my internet i will edit it. Yeah i agree it looks fun.
As for the course i am in the final year this year and we have to have a concept way of thinking, thinking outside of the box if u know what i mean. But yeah i agree old school design was cool^^

OK, so here's your concept, a twin supercharged big block V8 with modernised (dare I say it) American Muscle styling but as a mid-engined supercar capable of 0-100km/hr in 1.5sec and a top speed of 634km/hr:lol::lol: But what you really thinking of doing,or is this just exterior design and too hard to explain.

No thats mechanical engineering which i was doing it for one semester in the second year. We are doing exterior/interior styling, aerodynamics and parts of mechanical just to know what to say with the engineers

Btw the above specs might be achieved if u put that engine in something really really really really light :lol:

You underestimating my big block V8 displacing 10L? This car will achieve those numbers in a car weighing 2500kg thanks to 3000Hp and over 10 000Nm of torque, plus tyres the size of a fiat 500

Hey everyone. I'm Mustang and I just qualified into Div. 3 for the WRS. I hope to be competitive with you all!

MustangGT, welcome aboard and welcome to DivIII!👍

Let's see, the best car I ever owned was a '70 Mustang Mach I with a Cleveland 351 in it. Not great off the line but, man that top end was reeeeeally nice.!👍

See you in DivIII and good luck racing.

That really makes me jealous. Shorten up the first 2 gears and she should shoot off like a rocket yet retain most top speed :dopey:

Where were you 37 years ago with that suggestion. :sly: I was 21, fresh back from overseas with more money than I knew what to do with. Many a day goes by when I wish I still had it. Deep dark forest green, looked like a real sleeper that is 'til you kicked it in the arse and lit her up. I can still see the looks on some of those boys. Ah those were the days:cool:

hey, yeah...i'm new. im trying to send my qual times to sphinx but ill be if i cant find a way to send pm's to ANYONE. this is my first post so maybe after this??

edit:

i get this message when trying to follow link on the qualifier thread to send sphinx a pm:

esh, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I do believe you will be able to pm shortly after your first post. This happened to me too, and apparently it has to do with the server of the site doing updates at regular intervals. As it reads your first post, it also updates your file, to include privileges. Good luck and welcome to the WRS!!!

esh
yes, it's working now, but only after i edited that post this afternoon. weird.
hi esh, what controller device are you using? wheel or ds2 would do just fine so i can update your info in luxy's leaderboard. thanks 👍

Welcome new comers! Enjoy your stay!

Jerome

I'm new here and want to send my times for the qualifier race to Sphinx but i'm having the same problem as esh had. But it seems that the problem should be fixed soon after this post :).

Don't expect great times from this side, already been running some races to compare my times (don't want to make a complete fool off myself) and i'll end up in the buttom of division 3 :).

Pff, trying to post something here reminds me off how bad i am on foreign languages :P

Welcome to the WRS, Andy2125. I'll look forward to receiving your qualifying submission.

Welcome Andy,

You have been placed into the very competitive Div 3.

Race on.

Hi Andy. Glad to see you finally made it here 👍 Have fun rippin' up the tracks with us. And don't worry about making a fool of yourself. Just have fun racing, and you'll become better and more confident before you know it!!

See you out there, and just flash your lights if I'm in the way, I'll move over right away.

Geen probleem Andy LOL nogal wat racers spreken uitstekend Nederlands :sly:
Sometimes my english is very poor too and they never laugh at me for it (or do they ... :)). Welcome to WRS, and be sure that hanging out at the bottom of Div3 is quite fun as I can prove from many years of experience there HAHA. Show us what you've got in this week's combo or next!

Welcome to the WRS Andy. This is a community of great people that want to have fun racing each other . They will also help you improve your skills. The steward (Sphinx) always come up with combos (car(cars)and track) that I think are quite unique. Have fun and see you on the track.

Welcome Andy to WRS. We like to have fun here and no one will be laughing at your English or French or any other language you may choose. We're about having fun racing here and a better group you will not find anywhere. Some are faster than others and some are very fast but we like to help each other along, so enjoy, learn, but most of all have fun!!

Greetings all, new to WRS and just posted my first splits. I'm a 27 yr old software engineer at a company called Red Hat. Married for 4 years, living in Halifax Canada.

Playing since GT3 but I suspect not particularly well thanks to bumper car syndrome. Bought a DFP a couple years ago and rediscovered GT4 all over again. I know very little about cars technically but fid myself inexplicably fascinated with them just the same. Can't afford to drive anything overly interesting in real life (2007 Honda Fit) so I have to act out in GT instead. I spend most of my GT time behind the wheel of a BMW or an Aston.

I'm currently playing GT4 on my PS3 and spend half my waking hours daydreaming about things I'd like to see in GT5 when it finally hits. I am however concerned about my lack of abilities when the time comes to race online so I'm trying to shed any bad habits and learn how to actually drive better before then, and hence I discovered WRS.

Almost have the Mrs swayed to accept that there'll be a new racing seat and G25 wheel purchased and permanently set up in the den when GT5 draws near. :)

Cheers!

Welcome to the fold guys!

Herk, good luck with the swaying of the wife man, seems like you already have her partially on your side... :) What do you think about that Fit, by the way? I have a friend who's interested in getting a car of that type and he was considering one of those.

Thanks KLR, I think she's about 90% of the way convinced. :)

Fit is a great car, good on gas, lots of room with those seats that fold flat, 100% reliable although it's only 2 years old. It's actually moderately fun to drive, not powerful by any means, but the suspension is quite nice. (although I was driving a 15 year old Tercel before that so my judgement may be off :)) Great little car.

Only wish I'd bought it in standard instead of auto!

The Fit with the automatic has paddle shifters in some trim/sport package if I remember correctly. I could be wrong. I think if I had a car with paddle shift I would get in trouble. I might think I'm on a GT4 track. One of by buddies got a Fit a few years ago also. It has some small factory stickers on the front wheel area also. Nice looking car I think.

Yeah sport edition does have paddle shifters and some slightly better looking body changes + fog lights if I remember. Couldn't justify the cost so we just went for the regular fit + AC which was ok. Even those would have been more fun than regular old automatic.

I kinda like the way the car looks as well. Bigger tires are about the only thing I'd change on it, they're so tiny!
