High School

I'm enjoying my ping pong PE type class today. My school has a 45 minute period each day where we get a study hall/free play period.
 
OFSTED report wasn't bad, only bad point's is that people don't really contribute and the grades aren't as high as they should be, still decent but not amazing.
 
Our school is outstanding ... 'Nuff said :sly:

Though the English department is terrible, it's still a pretty good state school.

My school is considered good, but I don't understand why. Sure, we have good test scores. But we never learn how to apply what we learn yo real life. Therefore, we don't use it, and we easily forget.
 
I can close to freaking out in tech today. Piece of garbage Chrysler engine was pissing me off and most of the people in my group were just standing in the way or they were playing with tools I needed.

Also I'll likely get out early tomorrow, or possibly have off.

Mine is sort of the same, but we are awesome at sports too, and investing lots of money in the future of the school (just as I leave :grumpy:).

If you can look good for two days for OFSTED, then your outstanding.

Just as well they didn't find the asbestos :lol:
 
I went on my ski trip yesterday and as always had a blast. Got a video somewhere that my buddy recorded. If I can pull it off his cellphone I'll post it here. We didn't go full speed because it was mostly ice but it was still pretty daring. The hill wasn't really that steep either but it was fun and easiest to get a decent recording.

Did lots of jumps too lol.
 
Squatted 225 today. Thats a lot for me a used to be band student. Its raining down here not snowing. It is maybe 60 degrees. Not much happening here. Our school is considered a high standard school because of our national ranking in the test scores. Im high up there.

My friends saw about your school aswell. :lol: Had a decent laugh then realised if our school didn't act all nice for those two days we'd be screwed. Someone should have shown all the inspectors the slags smoking weed round the back. :sly:
 
Hoping school gets cancelled, calling for round 8-10 inches. Oh but wait that means we'll get about 3 of that. Never mind about school.

Hoping Boston doesn't get the 24 inches the are calling for there lol
 
were supposed to get rain and snow here starting tonight but that won't stop my school from closing. After Hurricane Sandy, they refuse to let us have an extra days off. I don't blame them for not having canceling school tomorrow. We have a six day weekend next week.
 
Lucky, at this point all were supposed to get is freezing rain and some snow showers. Which mean it will be cold and wet, my only hopes of a close is that BCPS is true to its closure stupidity and will close for wind, or fog, or maybe humidity. :lol:
 
At my school, there are only about 3 teachers who actually teach the students. The rest just give out work papers and tell us to do them, then give a test on them.
 
Too bad no inspectors were in today, there was a pretty big fight in the dining hall. One left the hall with a bust lip and the other... well he ran quite fast. Don't blame him the other guy isn't someone you'd want to start on.
 
There was a fight here today as well. Just after PE while we were waiting for the changing rooms to be unlocked, someone came in with another person in a headlock and slammed him down to the floor, lets just say he got a nice black eye and carpet burn all across his forehead, and a busted hand. The other guy came away unscathed. We got the bistander effect as well with everyone just crowding around the outside.

Oh and our OFSTED report last year was Outstanding. To be honest, we are a pretty good school with 96% of pupils getting 5 A* to C grades and 91% getting A* to C in English and Maths. The highest in the district.

They got everyone's attention by moving the tables and smashing some plates, then when one ran out and the other after we went to chase them but they locked us in.
 
Nothing new on this side of the giant land mass that is America, so I don't get any sort of day off! Yay, happy day!

Btw I meant the teachers. :') But yer, we'll probably get a lecture about it on Monday how we're just sheep following the heard and showing mob culture yadda yadda heard it 20 times before. :lol:
