High School

On the contrary, my friend Henry got a 36 out of 36 so it is not that uncommon.

Unfortunately, I do not have the score sheet with me. You may have to take my word for it, or you don't have to believe me. Your choice :P

We all know that one guy that scores a 36... I'm skeptical, but I'll take your word for it, as there's not much benefit for you to fake it on a simulation racing forum

I got a 29 as my best score. My lowest is a 28.

Yeah, that's not too far fetched I got a 28 but didn't bother taking it again because it was good enough to get into CU Boulder.

Well then... Glad we could avoid a flame war I was sure that I threw the match on.

Gotcha. I can't get much at Auburn university with a 29 either.

That is no problem :).

So, with it being Friday, I was rather anxious to get out of school once the bell went. But I couldn't, because some idiot fell down the stairs because they were on their mobile. And, for some reason, this caused so much of a problem that the stairway had to be closed for half an hour. And the lift is only allowed to be used by the disabled, of which our school has none. And then my teacher goes "Use this time to catch up on some of the work you didn't finish this week" ... Just :boggled:

^I would've just left anyways. I think most of the kids that go to my school would actually  Is there only one stairway in your school? We have 5 or 6 and it's a relatively small school (1,000-1,300 or so students).

I've still got a few more hours to go. :indiff:

The so called teacher was being very stubborn about letting us leave. A new building has recently been made at our school, and it has one staircase. Because of this there is never any room and retards fall over. The building also makes noises when its windy, and the walls are crumbing. Not to mention this construction company have dug up all the school grounds and there are half demolished buildings and debris everywhere. I look outside to see some builders messing about with a digger watching TV on an iPad. And all this, makes my school great fun  - Except for the injured blocking the stairway part.

So I've concluded that my school's security are dicks. You hear about it from other kids, being interrogated by the security because they were going to get a drink of water (and had a hall pass), or kids being held up by security even though their teachers gave them permission to do whatever the hell they were doing. They could be nice, but no, they have to be assholes about it. My photography teacher allows kids to come in at lunch to catch up on projects or do work or whatever, but sometimes she has to run an errand, so she has to kick us out for a couple of minutes. Usually it's fine, and she comes back ten minutes later and we can resume our work. But this time three of us were waiting in the hall, not disturbing anybody. A couple kids from other periods came to wait as well. The teacher was taking longer than usual. The security guard felt like being extra dickish, and came around the corner and started barking at us to get out. Could've asked nicely, but no, he had to get all authoritarian about it and assert his power over everyone. We told him we were waiting for a teacher, and she said we could wait, but no. Had to go outside and wait. Since we left our backpacks in the room with the intention of returning soon, we couldn't really go anywhere. She returned a short while later and we finished up the work, so it wasn't that bad, but still. The guy didn't have to be an ass about it.
Today during lunch I was working on a film project with a friend. He was pestering me to buy lunch but didn't want to do it himself. I finally gave in, he gave me a couple bucks and I bought the lunch and came back to the building. There's these tiny little yellow signs taped to the buildings saying how you can't bring food beyond this point, and the building I was coming back to was beyond that point. Okay, fine, don't get caught with the tray. Well the door to the building is locked at lunch, and there isn't exactly much foot traffic within it during lunch so you don't have many chances to be let in. This didn't fly with Mr. High and Mighty High School Security Guard on his big pimpin' electric golf cart and he drove up to had a word with me, because you know, holding a tray of food beyond that little yellow sign is some serious shiznit.
So he asks me what I'm doing there. I tell him my friend and I were doing a project inside that building and I had brought him lunch. So he gets butthurt and says that you can't be hanging around that building at lunch and you can't have your food over here. I shrug. Finally, he points to the other portion of campus and says "now pitter patter over on to the other court and eat your lunch over there, please". I could give him credit for saying please, but he sounded like such a dick that it just cancels it out. Friend came out seconds later and wondered what was happening and the guard let in to him too. We pitter pattered over to the safe zone and called the guard names from a safe distance, and hand gestures were thrown. Was an interesting lunch.

^ There is an easy solution for the school. My school has little laminated slips in every room, and they're given to a student when they leave the class (with teacher's permission). Obviously in America that idea was never considered.

We have used hall passes before, no one takes them seriously though. The plastic ones you return either get broke, burned, melted, stolen etc,

Sigh. My school security is corrupt. Here how its work.

1. Get to school, you can only enter the gym and sit/stand in there, talk with friends or be ignorant and start fights/snowballl fights* and don't be caught.
2. If you try to leave the gym and try to go to your locker early they the security, will chase you and probably suspend you.
3. After we wait 30 mins we are allowed to go to our lockers and only have 15 mins to get to class.
4. If you surpass the 15 mins you're late and if you surpass that we have a thing called hall sweep. Where you have to go to the cafeteria and get a pass to class. Oh I forgot to mention we have a uniform- white polo shirt and gray slacks, cargos or khakis and white, black, brown, gray, silver shoes no other colors.
5. Repeat step 4 for 2nd period.
6. Now the real corruptness. When 3rd period hits its lunch time. We have 4 lunchs. They all are 30 mins each. A,B,C and D lunch. Now this is the main time when everybody skips. So wwe have security on every floor( we have 3 floors).
Two on the 2nd floor, 2 on the 3rd floor and idgaf about the 1st floor that's for the 9th graders.
Corruptness 1: good kid walks with ear buds towards class, security: ay come here, you got lunch duty for 2 weeks.
Fake thug: walks with earbuds saying random ****.
Here is the bs, I guess he is cool with security. Because literally these girls and fake thugs hang around security on the 2nd floor all 3rd period like its nothing but when a good like me wants to listen to music I get in trouble.

Anyone here good at chemistry? There is only 1 question in the review we got that I have absolutely no idea how to do. Can anyone help me with it? I'm not asking for the answer just simply how to start it.

Here it is:
What volume of carbon dioxide gas at 21°C and 781 mm Hg can be absorbed by 327g of lithium hydroxide?
And the reaction is:
2Li(OH) (solid) + CO2 (gas) = Li2CO3 (solid) + H2O (liquid)

I consider myself pretty good at it, but I don't think I've seen that, I'm going to check if I have similar notes

brb

Edit: Nope, I don't have anything similar to it

I would do that lol. That would be hilarious.

My principal used to be in playboy lol. No lies.

Next year im going to high school for the first time.... Where I live there are 3 high schools on one 305 acre campus, with well over 6,000 kids in them....with a [sarcasm]slight[/sarcasm] drug problem... Any advice?

Heres a pic of the plymouth canton educational park, or pcep for short:

Yes, and it sounds weird and unavoidable. But don't get lazy whatever you do. I got really lazy for like a month and I'm really regretting it because things are only harder because of it.

Do as any extra curricular activities as you can because knowing people is great. It gives you a wide variety of people so you can find who you fit with. I've just now, actually just today, well yesterday (because it's almost 1AM), I think I finat know who my friends are. It is going to make school more exciting and easier to survive. Funny that it took me until the end of my sophomore years, but I guess better now than never.

You should see just how many clubs are at those schools.... Everything from the coloring club (), to the break dance club, to political clubs, to the "park", as the campus is called, having its own radio station..... Its kind of crazy, if you ask me .... I think I may settle for the robotics club, as they have made some pretty sweet robots over the years, and i think it would be really cool, because i love to do that kind of stuff.

I'm not really sure what you're in to, but you should check out band/marching band. If you don't play anything yet, see if you can learn and join (I know many band programs require middle school band first, but check). I'm telling you it is worth it. I've learned time management, how to deal with stress, learned a lot about music, and found the greatest friends ever.

I guarantee you would not regret it.

Ya, ive been in band for three years now, but i cant do it for 9th grade, because the first year is a very tight schedule, so i cant do it.... I will try to again in 10th grade, though.... I hope i still remember how to play by then, though :scared:
