High School

7 years of trumpet? Nice! Usually people don't pick up instruments seriously until they're about 12 or 13... For me, I settled on an instrument when I was about 14, nearly 15 (vocals)... And even then, last year I picked up drums and guitar (guitar I first tried when I was about 11, but then quickly gave up because it was too hard and I couldn't play like a god in the first week ), and since I was about 13 I've been writing music. But yeah, it's cool to see someone pick it up at a young age... That is completely guessing your age based on grade (I think the grade system is the same as it is here, but I may be wrong. 4th grade you must have been... 8 going on 9 years?).

I'm so doing this.

I did that in music earlier this year. Had a cool teacher so it wasn't problematic (not that it would be in the first place).

Sigh. My school security is corrupt. Here how its work.

1. Get to school, you can only enter the gym and sit/stand in there, talk with friends or be ignorant and start fights/snowballl fights* and don't be caught.
2. If you try to leave the gym and try to go to your locker early they the security, will chase you and probably suspend you.
3. After we wait 30 mins we are allowed to go to our lockers and only have 15 mins to get to class.
4. If you surpass the 15 mins you're late and if you surpass that we have a thing called hall sweep. Where you have to go to the cafeteria and get a pass to class. Oh I forgot to mention we have a uniform- white polo shirt and gray slacks, cargos or khakis and white, black, brown, gray, silver shoes no other colors.
5. Repeat step 4 for 2nd period.
6. Now the real corruptness. When 3rd period hits its lunch time. We have 4 lunchs. They all are 30 mins each. A,B,C and D lunch. Now this is the main time when everybody skips. So wwe have security on every floor( we have 3 floors).
Two on the 2nd floor, 2 on the 3rd floor and idgaf about the 1st floor that's for the 9th graders.
Corruptness 1: good kid walks with ear buds towards class, security: ay come here, you got lunch duty for 2 weeks.
Fake thug: walks with earbuds saying random ****.
Here is the bs, I guess he is cool with security. Because literally these girls and fake thugs hang around security on the 2nd floor all 3rd period like its nothing but when a good like me wants to listen to music I get in trouble.

I've had to wear uniform since 2007. And then we have mufti days where we have to pay money. Now, the school says that the money goes to upgrading the school; but it appears that mufti days usually happen at the end of term, so I'm quite sure the teachers put the money towards supplying the booze for their end of term booze up.

It's funny, everyone going on about their school's security. Mine doesn't actually have security, there's a few camera's, and some teachers will tell you off for being out of the school's boundaries or something (no longer happens to me, because year 13's are allowed to walk out of the school at break and in study spells), but that's it. All your American schools seem to over-do it a lot.

We've had a single security guard off and on since Sandy Hook. He doesn't do very much, just walks through the parking lot occasionally.

We have security gurads equipped with a pistol, assault rifle, and sometimes a shotgun..... And, since there was a huge food fight, and then mob, there are tons of cameras, in all three buildings.. Oh, and i forgot to mention, two of the schools have bomb shelters; from the cold war.... these schools are ready for war

We have no security guards, never had, never will. Even though we have massive spiders, snakes and scorpions down under we have a lot fewer thugs walking around with guns/

We never have any security guards at our school. Every week or so a police officer strolls through the halls but that's it.

There aren't always fights at our school, but they are pretty frequent (1-2 per week). We only have teachers that act as security if needed.

My life at high schools isn't so interesting, but there are certain things that happened that i dont want to remember such as:

1)Almost loosing the left eye

2)almost being killed by a thug(choro)

3)the list goes on.......

Woah, um.. what?

Our school is still a landfill construction site. It does have its moments though, like the time one of the workers drove his digger over the newly planted flowerbed, good times. However, the reality is, they have started grouping us like sheep, and putting us in temporary classrooms. And by classrooms I mean cheaply stacked boxes in the car park, with no heating and tables from 1936. Not to mention the sewage and the rubble. Can't wait until inspection day

Impressive... im more of a AC/DC fan but... I can rspect your taste đź‘Ť

Don't get me wrong I'm a huge AC/DC fan as well. In fact if it's rock oriented I'll listen to everything from pop rock to screamo.

Need help for the Biology, Algebra, and english HSA(state test for Maryland). Who is a wiz in Biology and Algebra?

Tomorrow is an day off, I will use it to complete all my physics and math summaries and activities :D
Thankfully it's not a lot and I will finish very quick.

Last week we had a biology test and I was the first to finish it, I didn't remember that a friend at my back put his cheat paper in the hood of my sweater, I gave the test to my teacher, returned to my seat and get my stuff to get out of the classroom and my friend had no chance to get it out

But those are the easiest of tests. Are you afraid of the difficulty or is it that you don't understand the material? If you have at least a brief understanding of the material you'll do just fine.

Had Monday off so it's a short week. Tried on thw vocational graduations gowns today, now just for the homeschool to get theirs done.

Just found out the internet was shut off too, along with the online grade books.:irked:
Surely noticing the Internet is down is exponentially more obvious that knowing the firewall is... Right? :odd:

My school doesn't teach anything. All we do is bookwork and are expected to learn from that. I have little knowledge of Biology and I know a lot of Algebra but taking all the tests in the same week is stressful.

Oh but in bookwork you are too teach yourself. ;) I'm glad you have Algebra down, that's probably the most difficult of the three. Biology however, look over your notes, if any. Check out some of your work.

In fact, just looking around in the Biology text book would do just fine. I know I'm making it out to be really easy.... but that's because it is. It's not that stressful.

Unless, have you taken these tests before and failed them?
