High School

I failed my chem quiz so badly that it is the lowest grade I have ever gotten in my life. It was a 14 and I had no idea what I was doing since people in my class refuse to let my teacher teach and he took points off for sig figs. I'm going to have to teach myself the lesson since the people are no help.

Biology test tomorrow. I sure hope it goes well. I usually do worse on them than I thought.

That's ok, I got a 0 on a state mandated exam that pretty much decided whther or not I would graduate. Thats right, a 0. Why? Because it was a foreign language and I pretty much said 🤬 I'm not going immediatly after I finished a math test which I got a 64% on. That's another story. Ended up getting pushed through regardless though. Another story for another time though.

And we wonder why the Asian kids are so far ahead of the US. :indiff:

Don't sweat it... I've turned in a math test blank... I think you can figure out what I got.

I hate my chem class. It's so easy, but my class is so slow that we spend 60 minutes with students playing Q&A with the teacher. I get so bored because I get everything and just want to move on.

It's already May, and school ends on the 23rd. The first day of school on August 7th feels like it was eons ago; a different time period, or chapter if you will. It's been a long year, and now the last day of school feels like it's creeping up fast, but yet still feels far away. There's been lots of new friends, lots of new backgrounds, lots of new people in general. I've started to look at some things from a different perspective. So many things have changed compared to middle school, or even the beginning of the year. It's been an interesting year, but I'm also looking forward to a break from it. I hope there are less changes next year.

Hey, has anyone here taken Honors classes as a Freshman? I've signed myself up for H. English, Social Studies, and Algebra II, so I was wondering if it they were as difficult as people keep telling me. :nervous:

I asked a couple people I knew about what they thought of Honors English when the opportunity arose a couple months ago. They said it wasn't too hard, it was just a lot of work. The fact that for whatever reason Honors English also required taking AP History played a big factor in me not pursuing it.

Well I'm in Honors English as a sophomore and it's kind of a blow of class. There are times when you need to work hard but rarely. It is rare to get homework.

As for Honors Algebra II, I'm not sure because in regular. But a friend of mine takes it, and it seems like it's just more work but not really much harder.

I have a different set of classes rather than Honors but I do have Algebra II & so far, I can say that it's more work but not that much harder than you would think. If you're a methodical sort of person you should do well in the course.

I took honors Algebra II as a sophomore. It's not as bad as people say. Honestly, as long as you're good at math you should be fine. Some parts to the course are a bit tricky and might take longer to understand than others. However, once you get the concept down it becomes easy. Make sure you start off on a good foot because almost everything builds on top of each other.

I'll be taking AP English next year, first time my school's ever offered an AP class. What's it like?

I never took an AP or honors English, but its not my strongest class so I had no desire to. This year I took a class for seniors called Composition for the College Bound which teaches us college level writing/reading skills and its the more advanced senior English, I took it because I figured I had something to gain.

I got an A-! Wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I got tripped up on a few questions though.

On the bus home yesterday fell against a window and it fell out.. Nearly fell out myself.. Will try and get a photo if wanted.

You got a picture of yourself nearly falling out of a window?

Or are you saying you have a picture of the window?

Them sort of bus related incidents happen on a daily basis for me. We consider it boring if we don't have near death experiences.

Wow... School buses are so unsafe I wonder when the government will finally make stricter regulations.

I have 12 days of highschool left until I'm done! So naturally everyday feels like it takes twice as long as it really is.

Lucky. I have 36 days left and I desperately want school to end. I wake up every morning wishing it was summer.
