High School

Congrats to all who graduated from high school recently. What I can say about me? Thank god I finished high school last year...
I probably should have mentioned this when I finished back in November... :guilty:

I can finally use this:

Tomorrow is the final day. Well, half day. It's half a Day 2, so I'm done after blocks 5 and 6, and they'll probably be filler. After that, I'm done. But I will go to the carnival and enter the raffle for the Galaxy Tab.

Well, I couldn't find any better fanfare, so here you go.

Although the Sonic Adventure one is good too.

Grade 9 finished for me today, and it's my birthday. That's the only present I care about. Or at least am aware of. I stayed at the carnival, but didn't bother entering for the tablet. I'd have to stay and wait for the draw, and I didn't want to stay. I don't really care anyway. If I want an Android tablet, I could just buy one. No, there weren't any barrels at the carnival.

Mine is the 23rd.

Nice man, we did ours yesterday oh man what a looong day, had to rush to put a new radiator in my car in Auto shop only to find out my thermostat might be shot or some kinda waterpump issue :grumpy: W/e well see that's what you get when you don't regularly service your cooling system (Unlike the guy before me).. whatever. Then we practiced for the ceremonies by busing down to the Church and running through things.

After all that was done few of us hung out at my house for a while until the real deal. Rest is history. :sly:

3 weeks till we break up from sixth form. We are just starting our A2 courses now :S and by god its difficult. Only one year till uni though, one year.

I didn't graduate this spring thanks to my laziness, but I present a fanfare (yes, yet another one) for the ones who were more dedicated than me.

Had the last exam today, a physics exam. I'm free as a bird now :D I just logged in and checked if the results of previous exams were published and guess what! I got a 9 (out of 10) from my lithuanian/literature exam! That's flippin' fantastic considering that it was only the second time I wrote a full lenght essay in my life. Though my happiness will probably be short lived once I get the results from the maths and physics exams :)

I love it. You supposed to be graduating but instead you're bent over your car fixing it.

One more day and the school year is finally over. Tomorrow looks like a great day. School, Graduation, and NBA Finals.

EDIT: I'm done Sophomore year.Finally!

Making friends sucks man. Best advice is stop worrying about everyone and do whatever you feel like. Other people are also looking for friends who like cars and wondering who else likes cars. If you do whatever you feel like others will say that guy seems cool and likes cars too, I want to be his friend. That's how the cool kids always make lots of friends. They do and say whatever they feel like and others respect them for it and want to hang out with them.

Going into 8th grade.

In short, I hate most everyone at my school and I'm fairly sure some of them hate me too. Nobody I know has the same interests with me and the one that DOES play Gran Turismo and DOES like cars/racing games and the like goes to my old school.

Touché. By the end of high school, it was difficult to talk to someone and hang out for lunch let alone finding out common interests.

Ok, thanks, I'll try that :)

Thats what sucked about leaving my old school--I lost pretty much the best (and only :/) friend I had.

In middleschool it's easy to fall into the.. douche group. While it may be fun being in that group, don't alienate your true friends.

I don't know how I made so many friends in middle-school. I was just out going I think. While it's not too late for you to make friends, you missed out on two years of middle school to make true friends from what it seems like in my perspective. 8th grade was extremely fun for me and it will be equally as fun for you possibly. Just keep a positive attitude with the people around you and you'll be fine. If you hear someone talking about something you like just converse with them, it won't hurt you. You'll be fine, highschool has a wider variety of people so keep looking forward to that.

Just try and make a bunch of friends next year and hopefully some of them will be at the highschool you'll be going to so you won't be alone the beginning of your highschool Freshman year. 👍

But so you all are aware, some of the reasons I wrote that long rant in the first place are currently undisclosed and I don't really feel like going into it now...but I'll just leave it at this--girl problems...

With my experience, it's best to say don't go into relationships in middle-school. It's really unnecessary. Just be friends with the girls in middle-school because it will just leave you frustrated like it did me. It will just ruin your year. I think it will be best to forget anything that you had with that person although you are only in eighth grade and are still fairly young, so that may be hard. Trust me, the girlfriend-boyfriend stuff is best saved for high school. Middle school has the crazy cliques and high school doesn't really. It's easier to have a more personal relationship in high school. So just build a friendship with someone you like and maybe they'll come to notice you in high school/the future. 👍

Quote removed.

I felt the same way but the girl I liked would only talk to me when she was single. If she was dating someone while talking to me she said she felt like she was cheating.

Then I realized what the friend zone was.

You think you had it tough? Try moving country and losing contact with all of your friends :(. Exactly what happened to me, I never met anyone in the rest of my school career that were respectful or worthy enough to be considered a true friend (I left Singapore in Year 3 2003 and finished school in Australia in 2012-so that's 9 years! :scared:)

Secondly, the bullying incidents I was involved in whilst at Singapore were far and few in between, and relatively minor, in comparison to the s:censored: ton of incidents in Australia-primarily due to d:censored:heads who couldn't keep their mouths shut. What's worse was some of the teachers-too thick-headed to note the difference between retaliation and defending yourself (one member of staff, my running coach, tried to forcibly make me care about sport instead of study during my final year-worse than the f:censored:ing bullies)

Trust me, you're lucky that you were never in my shoes...

Hi everyone. Any chemists in this thread? :)
I'm a second year student of MUCTR (Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology of Russia), and I graduated from the high school 2 years ago.
I see some of you are about to graduate. Where are you planning to go after the school?

DAting really shouldn't happen until college at least so just don't worry about it and try to build good friendships

I'm definitely not outgoing at all but when I become friends with someone I never shut up lol.

I'll try to talk to people a little more definitely but I still want to keep sort of a lower profile next year.

Wow. Must've been really hard sorry you had to go through that. :/

I wholeheartedly agree with that 👍

That's never happened to me but I've been in the friend zone many a time.
