High School

you could be doing yourself a favor by not going to Uni, I have herd that Uni is full of assessments and assignments, that's why I'm not going to Uni
Well what were you hoping to do at uni? Pay loads of money and have nothing to show for it?

The assessments aren't too regular but when they are due they are long. Shortest time I have ever spent on a single piece is 6 hours.

I go back tomorrow. I'm feeling a little depressed (maybe sad is a better word to use) right now, and I hope it doesn't carry over. :indiff:

For everyone else who goes back tomorrow, hope it goes well for you.

Thanks, and I'm sure it'll be a good day.
On a side note, a little while back I found out my county started karting teams for the high schools. Of course... after I graduated that is...
At first I was like :D

But then I was like

On a serious note though: with the way my crazy luck is, this'd probably happen while I was still in school, but my school would be one of only very few to not be a part of it. :indiff:

I wish my school did Karting. All we have is Rugby (which is soooooo overrated here) and Cricket.

I wish my school had anything that wasn't the common norm-

Oh wait, the government is too broke to give us anything worth doing.

The Republicans here would have a field day if that happens.

I haven't been keeping up with politics lately, but what do you mean by that? Would they be excited or angry? Sorry, I just don't know what they want.

If they're able to save money, they would be happy.

I was going off the old generalization of politics for a joke. Sorry.

Field Day means, Success or something like that.

EDIT: I was beaten :P.

how sad is this : I am doing music for yr 11 and 12 and i still can't read proper music on sheets of paper with notes on them :dopey:

I can't even play a single instrument :P. That is why when I was in Year 8 for music. We did Piano and all I did was press random Keys in Rhythm. Still got a C :sly:

First day back from break, and its like we didn't have break. All my friends were actually here on time, and I was shocked when someone complimented me on my Panthers attire. Other than that the day so far has been boring, currently in study hall and the school seriously needs to allow students to go to the cafe. The cafe was a study hall room last year, and it was pretty quiet, the Library however, is very loud. It just baffles me that they would not allow us to go to the cafe were it was proven to be way quieter. Getting ready to have a sports discussion in my blogging class with one of my favorite teachers.

Today and tomorrow, there's this little group project we have to do in English. I had no partner, so the co-teacher paired me up with a girl, which was awkward for me enough given how the teacher went about pairing us up, but it was even more awkward for me since the girl is great friends with my crush, who was sitting right next to me. :boggled:

I'm not complaining or anything; I just wanted to share what I thought was a bit of a funny story with everyone. I'm chuckling at it myself to be honest.

Don't get caught staring or zoning out.

just focus on the project that you are doing and don't let her distract you

Last year for IT: Multimedia. Me and 4 friends were assigned to do a film trailer. Me and lets say friend A. Were mainly in charge of the theory and we did very well, we were there everyday and did the theory. Friend B was in charge of editing but Friend B and C started mucking together and started slacking which pulled us behind and A and I couldn't do more theory then we should because we need the filming to be done. We finally finished filming (however, Friend C wasn't there for his scenes for unknown reason so we had to do it ourselves) and the actual Trailer wasn't even done on time only the Theory.

Friend D wasn't even there for most of the days except for the very end where he helped editing.

So I go back tomorrow, yay! I have elected to go ahead with a second semester of pre-calculus/trig as well as taking another semester of weight training. I hate how weight training is first thing in the morning but I need to get some weight on, and not the potato chip way either.

Sounds like the plot of The Hangover...

Just remembered these stories from gym class today:

We're free throwing basketballs as part of our current basketball unit. Well, we eventually move onto three point shots. A kid shoots the ball, with a lot more force than he should've, and the ball flies back and nails someone after bouncing off the backboard. He went down, but got right back up, laughing his butt off at it.

Later in the class, someone picked up a safety cone and used it as a megaphone as the instructor had his back turned. The sudden noise scared he hell out of the teacher, who turned around with the absolute craziest and funniest look ever. Everyone laughed, including the instructor himself.

I've been hit in the head with a basketball this year (we shot around after finals) but the safety cone shenanigans would earn me a batch of push-ups in my weight training class. We take things seriously.

In my senior year, we had a competition in gym class with half court shots. If the instructor made his shot, everyone had to do 10 push ups. If anyone else did before my instructor did, and he missed his shot, he would have done 10 push ups. Well, long story short, everyone missed except my instructor. We were all dying in laughter about it because even he thought he'd miss his shot.

In seventh grade, I got nailed in the head on three separate occasions with a dodgeball. Twice it was on the face, and once it was on the ear. The latter of the facial impacts was enough to give me an almost immediately bloody nose.

In my district, middle school is only 7th-8th grade, and the gym classes are coeducational there. With that being said, there were some girls who saw what happened that second time I got nailed in the face.
