High School

So back to school people. Tuck that shirt in :P

 I don't have the problem with teachers telling me to tuck my shirt in. They created the jersey for a reason. ;)

PS: If you weren't smart enough to realize, I just wear a jersey and it covers the untucked in shirt. I haven't tucked in since February.

Here's advice I prescribe to you guys, do your work before it's due. Side-effects from this include the satisfaction of having work done, having better marks, and your teacher thinking you are a good student.

Can also be taken with slight doses of procrastination. Procrastination is not advised to those who cannot schedule themselves. :)

I wish my school would allow jerseys. I don't particularly like being told over and over again to tuck my shirt in :scared: .

Agreed but when you just want to chill out and visit your friends, it's not easy to do your homework as soon as you get it.

Do it in class.

I tried that once and I got clocked :ouch: . Plus I usually only want to do really big homework tasks during school. And even so, I do them at lunchtime in the library.

EDIT: I did a Spanish test today, and I think I did very well to be honest :D .

I wear basketball shorts most if the time. Girls wearing leggings, short shorts, or yoga pants isn't a bad thing. ;)

We must wear a polo shirt that is white, red, navy blue, or black, and khaki shorts or pants, with the shirt tucked in from the time we get on campus to 3PM. Some people wear cargo shorts, me included, and have never been told anything about it. Thankfully, every first Friday of the month, we get a 'dress down day' which is where we can wear normal clothes.

I feel like some of the teachers in this thread are talking as if all teachers are the same. Not to be insulting.

While I don't think ALL teachers are terrible. Some are.
There are only a few that are VERY good.

And my GOD there is SO much politics involved at my school.
It's ridiculous.
For example, there's a Science Olympiad Team in our middle school/junior high school. They requested the superintendent give them money to make a trip to Florida for the national competition. Not only did she say no, she said they couldn't go ask the town for money so that she wouldn't look bad being a republican. Makes me want to kill people. Suppose that's what CoD and BF is for.

Who here has advanced classes (I don't know if this was asked before, but oh well!)? Next year i'm gonna start my freshman year in high school and I got language arts and history honors. I heard the history teacher there is a full fledged nut job. what should I be wary of?

@Noob616: :lol:!
@gogatrs: The only politics at our school are regarding computers and all the internet restrictions put in place by the school board. Though the man who put all these restrictions in place is expected to step down soon and the staff at our school want someone who will remove these restrictions and allow the teachers to control and be able to moderate what students can view. Makes sense to us student. Allow some freedom on computers to those who get their work done, while those who don't do their work are limited.

I can't even pass normal classes, let alone advanced ones.

Worth it. DO NOT GET BEHIND.
DO NOT GET BEHIND
DO NOT GET BEHIND

Really. That summer reading they make you do? Do it. There will be a considerable amount of work if it's like the Honours/AP program I do. History will have LOTS of homework. But in the end, it's better than what feels like a waste of time in the College Prep or Standard classes.

So what your saying is that I should get behind? Sorry wasn't clear.

I wouldn't last a day over there haha. Good job to those who do. :sly:

I've lasted for 10 years now (and counting). Though reading this thread I think moving to America might be a good idea.

Yeah, I'm such a badass that I don't like leaving the school because I might get told off. And there's a difference between being a badass and being too lazy to tuck in. :P

Ten years of uniforms and I, hopefully, will never wear them again! :D

Ten years!? I've only had to wear uniform since year 7. Being in Year 12 now it's about half the time.
