High School

Is anyone elses prom organizers causing a 110% pure drama? There is a set of twin sisters that is trying to make it "their" prom essentially. They chose Fire and Ice as a theme when we could have had old fashioned (1920-30 ish i think) which in my opinion is dumb and many people complained about how the hell do you dress for Fire and Ice.

The one twin freaked out over facebook when someones date who isnt in the graduating class bought the same dress as her but that she "hasn't posted it" and because it is "her prom". Basically the white girl drama is real right now.

Most of my really good friends are seniors, Sad thing is they're gonna be gone. It was fun being with them for a year at least. I learned a lot and on what I should do next year. Soon it'll be my turn to be a senior and then the feels all over again.

It's kind of funny that I look at some things differently now that I'm an alumni. The seniors at my high school bitched because the school inspected every single bag that went through the school on Friday (last day for Seniors). Like it or not, they did it for a reason because some moron a county over decided to make their senior prank look like an armed gunman was on campus. Also, the underclassmen were talking about how "epic" the senior prank that the class of 2016 did. If they saw what the class of 2011 did (saw it firsthand since I was a junior that year), they would have called it an absolute joke. The 2011 prank was a real prank.

What was it? :sly:

This year's prank was to buy an ad in the paper selling the school. 2011's prank was to barricade everyone outside with desks from classrooms, zip tie every locker that didn't belong to a senior, put Vaseline on every locker, TP the school, put Icy Hot on all the toliets, and also made a pyramid in the cafeteria using all the lunch tables and chairs. Now I will admit that the ad was pretty slick, but nope- still doesn't compare to the 2011 prank. I still remember how pissed off the principal was that day, and that guy is so easy going that you have to try to anger him.

That's just dumb. Where I go, this doesn't happen. We never have any kind of pranks where I go.

Also, today I had the grad ceremony. It was mostly standing and sitting, and a whole lot of scholarships I didn't get. Not that I care.

I'm dropping food tech at the end of this term because I'm getting very low marks in it.
I think that will take a lot of stress of work out of you, 7 subjects is difficult to keep balanced.

Though 1 bad subject out of 7 wouldn't really apply to anything in the long run so I really don't get why you stuck around in the first place

There wasn't alot of pranks when I was in high school either. The only ones I'm aware of are the times where fake poop (I hope) what littered throughout the hallways. To add, the time a live chicken was let loose. My years in the day were boring,.

Tomorrow (or today for most of you probably) will be my last day of High School, and it's pretty crazy putting everything in perspective of how much your life is about to change afterwards. It's like, the place I spent a majority of my crazier years, I won't be seeing again as regularly.

Graduation is next Wednesday, gonna be satisfying walking off and shouting "RAISE YOUR MEMES."

Tomorrow's the grad dinner and dance. No, I don't have a date. Not that I care. I think I'll be sitting with some people I know though, which is good enough. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people skipped tomorrow. I will leave about half an hour early tomorrow, but I won't skip.

Also, I'll be getting to the hotel where it's being held in only the classiest way possible: Public transit. With my mom.

Prom was tonight for Seniors, Those who weren't going decided to skip school :P Gonna miss these lunatics
With prom tonight, quite a few people who DID come skipped school today. I'm not surprised. Chemistry and math were basically empty. I had no need to skip, but I left the last block half an hour early so I'd have time to get ready.

I have 3 more years, then I'll be one of them. Graduation is gonna be an emotional joyride though when it comes.

While, prom was an experience. I managed to make it to the hotel half an hour early, though not in the Lamborghini that was parked outside the hotel. I took the train. Shortly after 6, the doors opened for the dinner, though the dinner wasn't till 7:30. The dance went from 9 to midnight, after which point all the students were shoved onto buses to go to Science World. We hung out there until 4, at which point we were taken back to school and my mom picked me up. I got home at about 5 in the morning, at which point I immediately went to bed until 10:30. Also, I think I had too many sweets. At some point during the dance, I felt like I was gonna puke, though I held on. The entire thing was an experience.

Also, some of the song choices at the dance. One of the last few songs they played was Never Gonna Give You Up. They also played Sandstorm at some point.

And I will never get over my suit having way too many pockets.

Yea I didn't go to my school prom cause well...I didn't have any interest in any of the girls at my school or prom honestly, that and it was way to expensive for me.

Also welcome to the boring life and finding a job to everyone just now graduating.

Like last year, here's all the tests, homework, essays, etc from my sophomore year.

Man, it sure is saddening to give the final handshake to your senior friends.
I can relate. The majority of my friends were seniors, and today was their last day (senior's are off a week before the rest of us at my school).

-----

Next Thursday, my Junior year of high school will be over. During my elementary - middle school years, I'd always think "man, it'll be forever until I'm in high school." Now, in what seems like the blink of an eye, my final two semesters are approaching.

And to think that I brushed it off when my parents would tell me "it'll be over before you know it." :indiff:

I'm not going to the Australian equivalent of a Prom, Formal (even the different name rubs me the wrong way). Everyone I know is super excited and started already looking for Suits and Dresses or saving enough Money.

Formalities or even Dances aren't my thing not to mention the only reason why some people are going is just for the after party where they can get drunk.

I'm not even doing the Schoolies trip to Queensland either, just staying home figuring out what I want to do with my life.
