High School

So today I got to school and everything was normal. But as soon as classes started someone pulled the fire alarm and we all had to in outside while the fire department came and checked everything out. After almost an hour we were allowed to in back and then we found out that there was on fire but someone "vandalized" the school. Rumour is that someone set off a fire extinguisher so someone else pulled the alarm.

So, everybody's day got screwed up all because one person did something stupid. Hopefully they get caught.

That happens every couple of months in our school, all we do is go outside, line up and then when everyone is pretty sure that nothing is on fire we all go back inside.

On other news my tech teacher has nominated me for a national competition to find the UK's best young motorsport engineers. :D :D

Luke, isn't Additional Maths aka A2? I've got a few friends doing it and it looks 🤬 hard. I failed AS the year before so I'm repeating it (as well as half of last year's class who also failed )

No its not, that would be further maths (A seperate AS level however it is effectively an addon to normal maths A2).

Additional maths is inbetween GCSE and A level, it covers 13 out of the 18 AS level topics, for that reason it is really hard just because you are doing it while you are a still doing tonnes of other GCSE's rather than the AS next year when you can concentrate on less subjects.

Took part 1 of 5 of my shop final, did it in 20 minutes. 4 days of school left!

Auto? If so, mine is a joke. 80% written 20% cleaning up the shop. That's okay because I didn't do too good at many things this year (serpentine belt and taking tires off rims were bad for me, but that's not all). I probably would pass though. In auto I either got it or I didn't, there was no in between.

Today me and my partner had to test a CO2 car we made in my Engineering class. Basically, we had to put an egg inside it an it was propelled by a CO2 canister and we crashed them into other groups cars. I thought it'd do poorly because we pretty much did the wheels and axles, engine block, and safety cell in about a half hour. But it ended up smashing through the other groups car and the egg didn't break but it did eject. Theirs broke. :D

Also only two full days of school left. :)

Yup, Auto. The written part was today, 100 questions. 50 multiple choice and 50 true/false. Did it in 20 minutes, easy as hell (I thought. I'm sure others would disagree). The next 4 parts are hands on stuff like indentify this tool or show me how to operate the wheel balancer or torch kind of thing.

Turns out that they caught the guy who did it. He goes to another school that's kind of rivals with ours. I don't think that that was the reason though because he went to our school last year. It was just a really weird day.

Ah I balanced a tire 2 days ago. It was actually kind of fun! Do you agree?

It's really simple. I don't mind it lol. I'd rather do engine work though.

No customers cars in Auto shop today, first half we wrote notes & second half we stripped old tires off rims, we ended up getting these two 30 year old tires with the tube rusted to the rim. We cut one tube out & hacksaw'd the other tire in half (That was tiring) -Otherwise they where impossible on the tire machine.

Lunch was.. a little boring. Good friend of mine just started ignoring me a week or so ago... my other friends & I don't know what happened really.

Then I had S.S., We're doing the boring parts about the Canadian Government, but at least the teacher lets us listen to the radio in class. Classic rock & history go together so well. :D

& then it was home time, got a haircut & all that jazz. For us I believe there's about 3 weeks of school left. Lucky American's getting out so early.

As in 'You only see the good in her. Watch out, she latches onto her friends and won't let them go. If you don't believe it you are simple minded.'

Well, after today is over, I have just 2 weeks of school left, then I'm out. CLOCK. IS. TICKING! Also, on June 14, the last day of real school, I turn 14. Yay.

Finally! No more exams! I have no idea what they are planning for us next week but our final day is Thursday which is a half day. On Tuesday, however, about 20 of the sophomores are taking a bus down to Carowinds, me being one of them. :D

Aaah, making references to awesomeness in everyday conversation. We all do it. ;) And yeah, I had Friday off because the teachers realized that there was a public holiday on Monday (they can get rid of the students for 4 days!). So I'm in a good mood when thinking about school. ;)

Half term is here, and I bloomin' well need it. A week off, then 4 weeks until the summer holidays.

Ha,ha,ha. Thank god I'm year 11, I only have to go in for 2 exams and 3 half days now, and then its good riddance to secondary school and off to sixth form. Both the exams I have left are really easy so I basicly have 3 months off.

Lucky you that you are in Year 11 👎 . I'm only in Year 8 and I still have to put up with 3 more years of crap  .

Just out of interest, found this website that are encouraging more students, specifically in the states, to stay in school. If you are finding school very stressful, then you might find it somewhat useful. Click here.

Only 3 more weeks, then 1 and 3/4 months off, not as much as my old school but still an acceptable break.

Well it's been two days of half term and already been eventful, went to town at last minute with two of my friends yesterday (both girls, both friend-zoned with). Today till about 7 was at a street party for the queens jubilee and stuck a sign in my friends window saying 'down with the monarchy' XD. And now I'm having to save my friend (girl) from going out with a complete d*** head, life is fun isn't it
