High School

I hate math. I cannot understand it. I can do your basic 2+2 stuff but not the a=x34567876654 triangle square find what A is garbage.

Oh? I love math. A=(number) and basic algebra is easy for me, also, what is a triangle square? Do you mean the Pythagorean relationship? It's easy. Oh well, people have strengths and weaknesses.

Also, FALSE ALARM. Turns out the math test is actually on Wednesday.:grumpy: Oh well, it's not gonna be a problem. Also, science test tomorrow. Turns out that not some of it is multiple choice, ALL of it is. 100 multiple choice questions in 70 minutes, at that includes time to check it over, however much I give myself. I usually finish those tests early. And averaging less than 42 seconds per on multiple choice questions shouldn't be hard. This is a science final? This is gonna be much easier than I expected.

I can't do any of that algebra/geo/trig garbage. Can't stand it and don't want to learn it on top of it all. Wayyy to effing confusing for me.

Got exempt from my Geometry final.

Have only Science exam tomorrow, English and Algebra (The most important one) on Wednesday.

French Speaking test next Wednesday. Too bad we actually have to remember what we're saying because my pronunciation is pretty good anyway, gonna get an F and I'm not fussed.

Same for me with German next Monday. Chuffed with History today, Maths Unit 2 tomorrow. :nervous:

Unit 2? Did it yesterday, make sure you know how to work out equations of a line on a graph.

Done it before and got a B which is reasonably good but not enough for A Level. Surds have me worried, as do quadratics. Unit 3 then next Tuesday which I'm absolutely 🤬 myself about.

Could do with a bit of work on graphs now that you've mentioned it.

Sir Tuddle
Graduated last week, man it feels like NOTHINGS CHANGED |:{

 Really ?

For me SURDS are really simple but I'm with you on quadratics.

Someone just told me something that made me realise just how fast everything goes.

I'm now ending year 11, I remember year 7 like it was yesterday when we first came to the school. In that same 5 years time I will (hopefully) have completed a degree at university. When you think of it like that you realise how little time 5 years actually is.

True, time moves fast, too fast.

Just finished today's finals. 3 down, 2 to go.

One final a day for the next two days. So I'll probably be on here with my free time.

Went to University of Exeter yesterday for an open day, was a pretty amazing experience. Physics (what I want to do) is so much more focused, and they even gave an example of superconductivity as part of the tour, which was pretty cool. Just need an AAB now, which isn't going to be easy.

After today, 2 more days and then I'm out! YES! In todays news:

This morning, I had the math final test. That was pretty easy, finished it early. Like a boss. Except one thing about that test bugs me. It had 49 questions. That number seems illogical. Wouldn't 50 make more sense? It's rather odd.

In art, we didn't do any art since we're already finished for that class. Instead, we watched The Simpsons. And at the beginning of class, I saw the teacher with a South Park DVD out, wondering how he'd get away with putting something like that on. It was like he was implying what happened the block before...

In English, I mostly just chatted and hung out, since there was nothing to do.

And now, for the last block of the day, I have a free block to do whatever. And the block is over an hour. No complaining there.

(All of this was written in the free block, and nobody seems to notice I'm writing on a message board anyway)

Bad news! Now that I've done my R.E test for this year and therefore there is nothing to teach they're replacing all the R.E lessons with.... French :grumpy: I hate school...

R.E.? What's that? English? As for time I have left, I'm out on Friday, but have to go back on the 28th for half an hour to get my report card.

You're in year 10 are you ? We never did anything like gospels and that, just what religions think of issues and ethics and things like that.

Religious Education, although it mainly focuses on things like abortion, euthanasia and influential people.

So it's current events subjects and such. I don't have anything like that. But if it's Religious Education, why does it focus on stuff like that? Is it because they believe there are religious views on those things?
