High School

My school, its the Veyron, most muscle cars, they've heard of Lambos and Ferraris.

There was a guy in my school who graduated last year, his family is known to do drag racing. He originally owned a Cobra but he sold it for a STANCED MS3. He was the only one who knew more about cars then I did, now that he is gone, I'm the car expert out of the 800 students in my school ;)

Knowing about cars actually helped me the other day on a quiz, it was like charades and my teacher was doing 'element' and so he drew a picture of a boxy car on the board and wrote Honda on the back. :P I was one of the only people to actually get it.

If I'm honest there's one other guy in my school (also in my year) who is a petrol head, HOWEVER he's a prick so I tend not to acknowledge his existence
Mainly in my school it's people who act like they know about cars, then when I corect them they call me weird :grumpy: Also a lot of the time random people will ask me the BHP of a certain car, I'm talking about the populars who I've never spoken to in my life randomly ask "Callum, what's the power of a Nissan GTR" "573" *laughs* *death stare*

Person: "I wanna Ferrari so bad!"

Other person: "Yeah I want their Aventador or something like that."

Me: *Resisting the urge to correct them

Basically what happens when anyone in my school talks about cars. There is one person that knows some things about cars, but I rarely get the chance to talk to him anymore.

Depends which GTR really. If its the '07 launch model, that had 478, and then the '11 model has 520 or so. That's the really geeky answer. ;)

Why would you sell a Cobra for a MazdaSpeed 3?

I only have about a few gearhead friends. One works with his dad with car auctions and the other one is rebuilding a Trans Am. Every other guy at my school have fascinations with trucks and big SUV. The only other people who like Japanese cars are the JDM Hellaflush crowd and they all act like d-bags. Lastly there's the people who watched The Fast and the Furious too many times.

I remained the only gearhead girl that I was aware of for about 2 years... then I met this other girl in my history who's brother races in stock cars. We're now best friends and hang out all the time . She's not as much as a car geek as I am, but she knows her stuff. We'll start talking about cars, or she'll tell me about her brother's race, and I'm the only one in our group that actually knows what she's talking about.

There's a guy who's been in my classes all the time I've been in high school, and he sits next to me in ICT. He's a bit of a prick, but once you get talking to him he's not that bad. We got talking last week after he saw our Mondeo, and it turns out his dad used to own a lot of decent Fords. A Sierra XR4, Fiesta XR2, Mondeo ST, amongst others. I'd love a Fiesta XR2. What surprised me even more was that he'd heard of TRS Motorsports, the company that my mum works for. He's a gamer too, but mainly on the PC.

Are you sure the Cobra... wasn't just a lie? Or perhaps... his parent's car?

No, his parents apparently had a GT500 and a C63.

He sold the Cobra because he had to go out of state, and a Cobra wouldn't give you good mileage. At least that's what I think.

I love it when some idiots are talking about cars and they're all saying about how 'beast' Lambo's are, and how they'd love a 'Murkylego'. Then I say how my favourite car is a 1980's BMW 5 Series and they just think I'm weird.

My social teacher was like she drives a manual peugot so my classmate called her a "driftking."
& I was just like, uhm, drifting is for RWD cars yo. And explained to him all the techniques of dorifuto & shut him up lol.

It's still a manual

I understand how you feel. People think I'm crazy when I tell them I want a 1992 Honda CRX to drive.

That happens to me a lot, some guys in my ICT were saying their favourite cars were the Bugatti Veyron and the Ferrari 458 and then "Callum, what's your favourite car?" (always said condesendingly) and my usual reply is something like a Jaguar E-Type or Jensen Inteceptor and they always laugh :grumpy:
Arseholes...

A friend of mine told me he liked the Subaru BRZ a lot, and that was one of the only times when someone told me that their favorite car wasn't a Veyron...

It's really sad when someone thinks a Camry is made by Nissan. Yep this happened last year
I would "lol" right in their face and walk away.

Probably his parents. Actually owning a Cobra in school is a bit of a longshot.

No, his parents apparently had a GT500 and a C63.

Did you ever see these in real life? Any pictures? The Cobra yes wouldn't get good gas mileage, I'd say about 12-15 if it's a legit Cobra.

People around here think the Veyron is the shiz because it's supposedly the fastest car in the world, and when I tell them it's not and prove it they are like blah blah blah you always gotta one-up everything XD.

Like I said I know a few guys who like muscle cars but don't know jack shiz about them, only that they have V8's and can roast the tires with ease. Then they get pissy with me when I tell them how easy it is to make double the power of a big block with a small block XD.

One of my best friends is into cars with a similar taste, and similar amount of knowledge. We both one-up each other with different brands, and he knows every little detail about S-chassis Nissans, so I get owned there. But both of us are function>form types, and are heavily into drifting, ALMS, and grassroots motorsports. Coincidentally, we both got our licenses a few days apart, and drive together now. A few of my friends, and other kids, know some stuff about cars, but aren't into everything technical. Most of everyone else doesn't like cars, or thinks a 454 is the answer to world hunger.

I got to drive three skid steers today in tech through a cone slalom. All of them had different controls. I ran over a bunch of cones but driving them really isn't to difficult, I just turn to early since you really can't see to your sides. That and it's wider than you think.

Today was fun. My teacher made it a rule to call a black guy in our class Tyrone from now on,I realized my group for American history is unorganized and I was stuck in weight lifting today. Counselor said they would give me a note on Monday, but no note today. Ooh and I ate Smarties during English class

High school Basketball practice tonight didn't go great. I love it and everything, but the whole school has to practice together, so me and my mates (we are 14) are up against 16 year olds, and are expected more and more to play at the same level! It's mad! I get criticised by these 16 year olds who can score half-court 3-pointers, and with that you just get frustrated and don't learn anything when there on your back all the time....

Haha. I'm actually better at long range than short range shots. Weird right? Well anyways how tall are you?
