I'm really not looking forward to these tracks, but I understand why we are using them and I'm still supporting it (hesitantly). The boss-lady had to work today, so every time I got my baby girl to take a nap I hopped online and practiced Madrid with a different Modern G2 car. I had no idea how large the selection was, that is awesome! I'd like to setup a public room tonight with the 550pp Racing Hards, get some practice on our new tracks and maybe recruit some fresh blood. I still have no idea which car to chose, but I've got about 5 or 6 of 'em fully tuned and within a couple tenths of each other. I guess it's gonna come down to whichever looks the coolest!

Add: Well, ran test runs with a few of us on every track on the new schedule tonight... yea, that's all I have to say about them.
I guess the tracks really aren't that bad, I just literally have no time invested in them. Guess I got my work cut out for me. Sarthe in the rain was rough, I'm pretty sure Kal was pissed at us when he included that one.

A couple of our racers expressed concern that Modern G2 may have advantages with the Z06 and Viper at the current 550pp. It was suggested that lowering PP to 515 or 525 and excluding the Vette and Viper would make it more competitive. Just throwing that out there if anyones interested in discussing it.

This game has been out for quite a while & most of have been playing it for about as long, and been driving on the same tracks over & over & over. I welcome the idea of changing up the tracks including rain/night.

If we want to lower pp in MGII class, then make it 530pp (same as VGII) or make them both 525pp, we'll throw ss tires back on MGII. That way regs are consistent in both GII classes. Cause a little less confusion for new guys coming in & trying to set up for 4 classes. Since we are doing modern classes at the 2nd half, we don't have to carve this out in stone right now.

In all honesty, I was just tired of racing on the same tracks. I also never driven much at night and the few times I did I found it quite enjoyable. The rain however I never use it but I want challenges. The Series grows and so does the challenges that the guys go through.

That being said, if the PP limit gets dropped then the Ford GT will be dropped as well. Tonight we can do soem more testing although I may have to buy new cars all Over again.

Room should be open around 7-8PM EST. I will have a Thread up tonight or by tomorrow evening.

I'll be there for some testing for sure. I have to buy a few duplicate cars everytime any kind of PP limitation talk comes up in here, it's kinda amusing. I don't think eliminating a couple cars from the Modern G2 list is a big deal, there are ALOT to choose from, but we should be able to figure it all out tonight.

Looking at the Viper ACR, the only thing one needs to do is to turn down the Power Limiter and/or increase the weight ballast if it's to make the 550 PP limit for Group 2 should they choose to use the car. Would the ACR fare all right if it was the Modern Group 1 series?

Some work on the Challenger this afternoon has me at a bit of a crossroads on what to do next, Stage 2 Weight reduction or Stage 1 engine.

EDIT: ::installs both and sees the car go up to 549 PP:::dopey:

Never thought of the ACR in GI. But it lacks downforce that all the others have, so I would say, no. It probably won't do well.

ACR is also in a higher class then all the other cars in GII & probably won't be allowed in GII, along with ZR1 & Ford GT.

I totally agree with that. As I stated, G2 has plenty to chose from. It would be nice to have more cars in G1, but forcing an inferior car to run with these full-on race cars that many of us have months into perfecting would just make a mess. G1 is what it is, I don't think there's any improvements to be made there.

As far as G2 regulations and cars, I honestly just plain enjoy racing against this group in any of the varying regs we've used, so I don't really disagree with any of the formats discussed. 550pp seemed pretty fun during testing previously. Last night, Titus proved that the Z06 did seem to have a slight advantage there, which doesn't really bother me personally, but I brought it up for Titus. I do agree with his point about all the G2 cars matching up well at slightly lower PP (say 530). Either limit will provide good racing, I think 550pp may force the car choice a bit, limiting the variety of cars we end up seeing run.

Edit: Just wanted to add, I do really like the racing hards over the sport softs. We are racing, after all, we're not sporting.:dopey:

I'm really falling in love with the 530 on SS tires. Was lapping the GNX and the Cobra Stang around various tracks and I must say I was fun!

I gotta say, 530pp on SS tires is incredibly fun with ANY car!

True Story. I ruined my own photo. I thought I was in place but wasn't apparently. Man these things are hard to get right!

Honestly, the best pics I've seen so far were the pics with all of us coming over the hairpin at Seca... we need another 'corner-in-action' shot, I think. Thinking maybe Road Daytona or Indy may be the place for a good photo op....or maybe the second turn at the Mountain...I'm not familiar enough with the foreign courses to offer a suggestion there.

The fact that the pace car images were shot during the daytime was odd. Well anyway here are some of my photos:

Sorry for the big sizes guys. But anyway I take pics after every race we do. Should I post pics on the thread next season after every race?💡

Ok, so Kal's photos from the pace car race were from daylight & yours were from at night. I don't get it? I thought that the entire race was at night.

Very cool photos by the way!

Thanks Skel and yeah the race was ran at night for the whole time so maybe Kal's pics were s glitch.

Well, kinda out of time for a new photo. I am going to go ahead and use the darker one. I just love that font for some reason. Thread will be up tonight.
