Sorted 👍

Now i have heard that the racing hard tyres are going to last a lot longer now after the update, not happy :grumpy:

So I’m going to run a full race distance using my CR-Z to have a look and the results of this will determine if the race is to switch tyres.

Fuel for the CR-Z is not an issue for the race, any reports on the NSX?

Put it this way: A NASCAR Truck Fox (you should know about them ;) ) has 10% wear after 10 laps, when it used to be near enough 35%.

Let us know FlyingFox ... indeed now with Racing Hards it's maybe possbile to do all 28 laps...

Will do mate. Tyres lasting that long is not what I want. I bet it throws some series in to dissaray. NASCAR Trucks will be one of them.

Well if that's the case Furi I can see people walking away from racing hards as come a pit stop you have to change them regardless (in GT4 you could choose to keep them on)

I may use sports softs as at least there are pit stops involved.

You could do that or just enforce one stop. SS tyres don't wear much more so it will still be a 1 stop, either way I'm not fussed.

That's right you could enforce one pitstop maybe in a specific window for everyone 👍

Test race report

I ran the race in the CR-Z in just over an hour without any pit stops.

The tyres still had 50% left in them and I also had ½ a tank of fuel left.

So this means a mandatory pit stop will be enforced as set out in the OP.

CR-Z battery was empty at the start of lap 5 but worked intermittently throughout the rest of the race.

When are you going to do a test session? Maybe we can do a test all together :)

In the extremely unlikely even that you destroy your tyres before the pit window may you still pit before but then pit during the window again to stop yourself from getting a penatly?

Unless you sit there just spinning your wheels for 10 minutes you will never ware them out. The latest update makes RH tyres last for a bloody eternity LOL.

So to answer your question, yes you will get a penalty for stopping before the pit stop window.

Is it immature to chuckle whenever I read the word "Banana"? Not for the reference to male genitalia but just saying the word in my head I always say it retarded. "BaNana"

I think your time is GMT - 7 (BST -8) again, depending on if you in daylight saving or not.

I tested a bit tonight...
used the 0%/0%/4 settings for the weather an guess what? :nervous:
after 2 laps started raining forever :scared:
my times were between 1.59 (lap 2) and 2.13 (lap 14) with full rain :ouch:

of course the pit window is not valid in rain condition, right? :banghead:

Ah yes your quite right. I forgot about that.

Will update the OP accordingly.

I may lower the rate of rain probability.

Cheers Grippone
