Spectacular! Now, why did you post that? Absurd or not, they're worth 4 times what I paid for them, which is probably irrelevant to you as it stands to reason that you probably won't see a set in real life. (I just figured I'd return with just as useless a comment. ;))

The higher res pic didn't show for me though. :indiff:

@Sp33 - So when are ya getting them installed? And how low are ya going?

Im hoping for within a week, and i have to get the measuring tape out to see how low i can go, my driveway is the only thing stopping me from winding them alll the way down.

The lips are actually purple metallic. ;) And, I love the bigger tire look. :) I slapped my winter tires on my RS-Betas today, and man... I already miss 215's. :( 195's are too dang narrow. Great for snow, but look like crap. :(
I couldn't remember if they had purple or blue lips, so I just went with black.

Make sure to take a pic or 2 of the car with rs-beta's, even with the 195 tires.

Oh matt, did i tell you i got a set of coilovers?

You told me that you bought some, but not that they'd arrived.

Check your email. ;)

The only person I've seen do the "blue lips" is a member on honda-tech, with a multi-5 lug set. They look god awful, as well. :yuck:

And, I'll eventually get around to pictures of the new set. I've just got to finish this lovely back to back 80 hour work week set. :(

...

I stated this already a while back. 176whp / 166 lb/ft torque with a smaller than stock throttle body and smaller than stock exhaust system (both used for the sake of getting the car running).
Are you going to have another run now that (I assume) you've got the proper parts in place?

Im not your son, and im certainly not an american.
 I'm just joking. That was the point. :yup:

Toyomatt, could you post the full size version of the #4 picture? I really like the bright red car against the white wall, and the silhouette of the car. Your suspension set up has a really cool rake, too.

I haven't put anything new on it yet. But, eventually I will tune it on the dyno again.

Full Size? I doubt you need 3800x2600 resolution. ;)

And, if you were to measure the gap from the ground to my roll pan, it's the same from front to rear. No rake for me. ;)

Oh wow, that is a huge picture. Well, how about a 1280xsomething. That'd leave a bit of room to chop off if I need to. Thanks.

Hmm, the car does look the same height off the ground. Must be the lines of the car playing tricks on me. I guess Honda just did a good job designing the car, eh?

Btw, I just got a ride home from a buddy and his EM1 Si. The difference in quality between the EG and EK cars is astonishing! His car has 130,000 miles on it and nothing rattles in the interior at all. It's still smooth and quiet. Ya know, I think I heard a new vibration in my car just the other day. That makes about 15 annoying noises.

Hey guys, theres a chicagolandpreludeclub meet today (sunday nov 4th). I will post some pics when I get home. We are looking at a pretty big turnout, around 20 ludes. 👍

@Sp33 - Driveway Shriveway...Drop it right low and park on the street! :D 👍

And atleast now you won't have a chance of running over wombats, you'll just plow them off the road.

@Toyomatt - Thanks! Looks awesome. I don't really see the need for a lip kit, especially at your drop. Plus, the added lip will make the barely possible entrances off the street virtually impossible (and I assume you have a lot of "just barely makes it" curbs).

@Boz Mon - Thats a pretty decent sized turn out, what was all planned for the meet?

Hey guys, we had like 21 Ludes show up today. We were just hanging out, and me and the girlfriend got some food. It was awesome though 👍

Actually, believe it or not, I haven't had a run-in with any curb clearance issues with my bumper. It's always my mid-pipe that takes the beatings. Stupid lack of exhaust tunnel. :(

@Boz Mon - Thats a pretty good turn out, its too bad only the 2 gens made a showing, but still looks like an awesome H22 orgy. Unfortuantly if something like that happened around here the cops would break it up and arrest everyone with street racing. Stupid Ontario. :indiff:

@Toyomatt - Consider yourself lucky. Thanks to the curbs around here, I ended up having to cut two huge pieces off my engine shield thanks to them ripping the crap out of it. I can't believe your Civic didn't come with an exhaust tunnel though, does it just hang underneath for the whole distance of the car?!

Yeah, for the most part, it's pretty much the lowest part of the car, all the way to the rear subframe. :(

"Toyomatt84: GTP's resident wheel nazi..."

The rims you're running just don't suit the car...

A set of silver (or better, chrome) 5-spokes (Don't care what kind, so long as it's got straight spokes) with a bit more offset. The rims look smaller than they really are thanks to the dark purple lip, and the rim design itself doesn't quite suit the car.

But other than that, congrats on having a Honda that doesn't need loud graphics to proclaim its superiority. I personally would be (as I already mentioned) be running different rims, and I wouldn't have it so low. I live in Michigan, and the roads are NEVER good.

I live in Wisconsin, our roads are no better than Michigan's.

And, like I stated before, I wasn't asking for feedback on how someone would modify my car. I'll put what I want on the car, simple as that. As to the "bit more offset", I think you're referring to a bit "lower" offset. ;) Higher would make them have smaller "lips", and sit further into the wheel well.

Ah, yes. I'm too damn back asswards sometimes.

I'm not trying to tell you how to modify your car; I'm just giving my opinion.

My opinion is that the rims look wrong for the car.

And... You. Have. Not. Met. My. Area.

If there's not an undergoing construction project, the road you are on SUCKS.

Bud, I hate to say it, but I've been all over Michigan. Yes, your roads suck, but ours are in the same field of poor driving. Potholes are like landmines here. If I hit one, I can guarantee my car will be in the shop for months. Also, our highways are so bumpy, you could just as well assume there's speed bumps on them.

Okay, so I stand corrected.

I still wouldn't have it so low. :P

By the way, (I don't know if you've said before, I'm not a reg to this thread) how much negative camber are you running front/rear? It LOOKS like quite a bit, but my eyes could be throwing me for a loop.

1.5 degrees up front, 2.5 degrees in the rear. Since the standard forgiveness for uneven tire wear is up to 3 degrees, I'm within my standards.

SRV2LOW4ME It was indeed awesome. Actually one of the 4th gens was an SI with the H23. He cruised to the meet with about 3 of us in 5th gens and we left him in the dust several times. We joked about it later on, everyone there was cool.

The head of the club is an awesome guy he has a 4th gen that he tracks and daily drives it is pretty much all striped out with tons of engine work and like a 100 shot. He does 13s in the 1/4 mile and then goes road racing with it. The thing makes like 204hp at the wheels and his wife or girlfriend drove his hatch with an h22 in it.

As far as cops go, no one there was street racing or being dumb so I dont think it would have been an issue. Overall we had 21 ludes come out and it was a great time. 👍

Now that is awesome, and a hatch with an Prelude heart is pretty sweet too, do you remember what style it is? So does the club also hold track/dyno days? Its true about the H23 4th Gens being a lot slower though, I had the chance to own one before I bought my 'lude but found it too be pretty balls-less drive, especially with the automatic transmission. :indiff:

They have dont dyno days in the past and a track day, I'm pretty sure has never happened (the club is still young though). I had an H23 Lude too and I thought it was fun but after I got the H22 I never looked back.

I have no idea what style hatch it was I dont know the difference. If you have pics of the different ones I could point it out.

Well good luck with the club, hopefully in the future they have some sort of track day at either a strip or course as they can get pretty exciting once you get all the 'ludes out there tearing it up. I had a video of the Toronto Prelude Club out at our local track (someone actually brought a Mustang, don't ask why) but I can't seem to find it right now. I'll post it if I'm able to find it again just to show ya how cool it looks with 8 'ludes out on the track at once.

And for the Civics, I can only assume its one of these two styles...

Damn. Nice mix for the strip, and unfortuantly it could probably take most of the 'ludes that were there that day. :guilty:

I know a guy who has an H22'd civic. It's fast in a straight line, but with it's 80/20 (probably something close to that) weight distribution, and eibach lowering springs made for a stock d16, it bounces in the front and just fails when it comes to turning.

It's a cheap way to get power I guess, but not such a great idea overall.

EDIT: +1 for 22" chromies.
