Yeah, so um.

The rednecks strike again. I wasn't part of it this time, but on the stoplight up the road from my school, there was a 3 car pileup. A camaro, a ford taurus, and a jeep cherokee. I think the camaro is done for, it was in the middle.

People from my school. Again.

I went down to Cincy to see the B20 car, and it's awful. I'm not considering it anymore because it's in such bad condition. It may be powerful, but it was never taken care of at all.

I'm going to be without a car for a long time. And like I've said, the only other Civic I feel like considering is an EM1, but I can't afford one of those at all unless I make payments, which I don't want to do.

I've seen them go for around 6.5k. That's not that much.

That's not too much to ask, but I don't really like the cars. The chassis is a great performance platform, but the interior is awful. You have to reach a mile to the shifter. Eh, I love my Sol, and that's the bottom line.

Sage you are small. It's in perfect reach for me, and I'm considering a short shifter sometime soon to get rid of the wobble. The shifter bushings didn't help.

geez whats wrong with that intersection!?

There's nothing wrong with the intersection. In fact most of the crashes are just near to there. It's just that when we finish school, there is a huge mass of rednecks going home, and not a single one can drive.

The only accident I saw in highschool was one right in front of me. I was standing there having a smoke on the sidewalk and some car stopped for a couple of guys that ran across the road and another car rear ended them as if they didn't even see him (even though he had been sitting there for a while as the kids had already crossed the street long ago and he was already starting to go again).

The sad part was the two people got out, started screaming at everyone, THEN realized they had a baby in the back seat. After the cops rolled up (I stayed to watch it all go down) and basically told them it was their fault, they pointed at me and started screaming that I tried to jump out in front of their car and thats why they didn't see the stopped car in front of them.

Eh? (I've got a forum hook-up, better pics, lots of info, and possibly a messenger, M5Power, to go take a look at it for me)

Ehhh? (This one is only 70 miles from home, and still in Ohio. I'm going to let him know that I'm not going to fall for the "OMG SO RARE VTECH" line. Even though it's cheap as hell. I wonder what's wrong with it.)

EDIT: Ah, it's got huge dent on the hood. Carbon fiber, here we come. Same if the fenders are busted. Now, if the rear quarter panels are screwed I'm going to screw the whole car and get something else.

Keef: The second one looks good enough, I wouldn't think that a black Sol is too hard to find in a junkyard, go looking for a hood now.

The rims aren't my cup of tea, but...

Still.

Get it.

EDIT: Two Sols from the guys on another forum:

EDIT 2: And as for the red one: Here's a bit of what got done to it:

Wow, that's pretty clean. I like it.

But it has an awful engine. Me = anti-swap. Swaps are expensive and I'd rather buy new tires and brakes every few months because I've been running the **** out of the B that was already in it. Plus, the YS1 is nearly as strong as a 4L80-E.

MistaX is my hero. This car is nice. A few scratches on the back bumper but it can be buffed by the dudes up at the dealer. It'd only take them a minute.

^Not sure what the deal is with that positive camber on the front wheel. Weird. I'll ask him in my next email about that.

There is no positive camber. It's the camera. My camera did that if you would zoom out all the way. The edges of the pictures get distorted. I'm guessing from the curve on the lens.

I agree with perfect balance. Notice the positive camber on the rear tire in the second to last picture too, yet its not in any of the other pictures. Not bad looking depending on the price. 👍

Yeah. But the camber doesn't bother me anymore.

I didn't look at the car too closely because of my excitment, but upon further inspection and moar pics, it looks like the car has rust on the left rear fender, big dents on the right rear and possibly some damage to the left front fender (at least the blinker is all nuts). Also, the shift boot isn't installed right, and I'm pretty sure I know why (mine was like that until I fixed it), the ash tray and power point flap isn't right (they're almost always messed up, but mine was too), and the car has a security system installed, or at least one attempted to be installed. Notice the red dot on top the steering column and the fact that the bottom half of the column is missing, with the ignition switch dangling.

And now the white of the Georgia car shines with a freshly waxed gleam.

EDIT: Did I just now notice the five-lug conversion? Were they really so desperate to have ITR rims that they gave it a conversion? Jeez. That guy needs to get his priorities right!

Ah. So it's got Integra discs and calipers too. Sweet.

But does that make up for the $1,000 worth of body damage? I'm not going to get under there and beat, sand, prime and paint that stuff myself. The Atlanta car has a tiny dot of rust on the trunk, but I could easily take the trunk off and have them paint just that panel. That'd only be like $200, if that. But you can't take off a rear quarter panel, since that's actually part of the car's chassis.

Btw, the trims really are awesome. That gunmetal would look good with white, too. Right now that car has the same wheels as PB's bronze painted ones. Civic HX or something? They're lighter than most, whatever they are.
