NEW ONES ^^^^

EDITED:

OK THOSE PICS DONT DO THEM JUSTICE, they are actually quite a lot brighter and whiter than the old ones, with a slight tinge of blue in them, I am HAPPY.

I was a tad dissapointed too when I first fitted mine as the globe it had from Japan were quite blue, when I switched them to ADR approved lights all the blue I was used to was gone, but from time to time I still notice some blue, but I am fairly happy how they illuminate the road.

Taurine
... I'm thinking about hacking out whatever I can from the boot area, considering nothing much happens back there for a FWD drag car except help keep the thing straight.
If I remember rightly, Ronnie's car was completely fixed at the back?

I have a feeling it was completely rigid, with no suspension at all? Is this right?

You'll know better than me... :D

I've never personally seen Ronnies car (although I could pull some strings and manage a look) but I would say that it is. Gary Thorburns EG Civic has a solid rear end so I'll see what he has to say about it when I chat to him at Autosalon.

:indiff: undecided.

I gather from that pic that you'll be running the exhaust out through the bumper?

Heh, no that's just a camera tricking you. I took the full length exhaust of the car to weigh it and had it lying in the background.

My exhaust will probably exit behind the passenger wheel on the front.

@ mclaren man: Youll prolly find that it would be a bigger dif if the wall wasnt so close. Bit late now though, next time i go to some kinda car place ill check em out

Mclaren_Man - I can see the difference, pretty nice, even if the picture probably doesn't do it justice. 👍

Taurine - That doesn't look too bad, personally though i'd move it up a little bit if your able too as i'm not too sure about it hanging out the bottom. You could always paint it black afterwards, and I know speed and beauty don't always mix, but to me it would look better brought up a little more.

Taurine: yeah you should move the intercooler as much up as you can. looks like your build is coming along well:)

Mclaren_Man: your lights do look a brighter. you should take a pic from a bit farther to really show how much better they are:)

Yea on the road they're much better definitly whiter, I will get some night pics up some time, I am happy with them though 👍

Today I was bored so I opened my bonnet (hood) and tried to find something that was really dirty and crap. I targeted my heat shield  (note to self stock extractors look pretty ordinary)

You'd be surprised how much cleaner my engine bay looks just by spraying something with a fairly large surface area black.

Me and one of my mates reckon in about a week or so it will be pretty stuffed. (its only 150 degree celcius paint  )

It just passed some time doing it because I was bored.

So your saying when you blow a hole in your block your probably going to blow a hole in your bonnet too. :P

All he would have to do is paint flames around it and call it a speed hole.

Looking good though Taurine, still say that you should paint the bottom part of your intercooler black. 👍

Maybe paint the whole intercooler black? Yes good idea I think. :)

(Hell would freeze over first)

Hey guys, I wonder if you could answer a quick question for me.

Would a 1995-1996 Honda Civic SIR/VtiR, EK shape, have a B16a or a B16a2? I'm just curious. I've checked in a few places and I've got differing answers.

Cheers.

Cool, cheers, I'm finally getting close to buying a car since I actually have a reasonable stack of money now and the Civic SIRs are pretty high on my list, if not at the top.
I'd love an ITR and I can probably afford one but I don't think trying to get insurance would be fun so I'm going to stick with a Civic to begin with. Maybe in the future.

You sold the Escort and bought the CRX? Cool. Is it going to be your daily driver?

The Escort hasn't sold yet, but when it does it'll pay back the money the I'm borrowing from my parents for the CRX.

And yes it will be my daily :D

REgo on hold, 115kms, sunroof, rust and dent free (from my brief look at it), vehicle speed sensor is playing up so no speedo or VTEC but that's an easy fix as I've done it on my Civic as well :D.
