How far away you live from the store? Seems you are there in and out just to play the game everyday. HAHA, I bet if they had a cockpit setup you would be ordering pizza from there.

LOL I'm about 3min away, I wish they had the cockpit i would stay there all day !!

Hey one thing I want to see, is if PD changed the way the wheels look when going from a dead stop to just barely moving.. In GT5P while in replay you can clearly see the wheels go from being stopped to I guess I texture change. Once you moved the wheels looked blurry. Try a car whith light colored open wheels, where you stopped with the Nascar on Nurburgring at the beginning, get sideways to a camera view and go from stop to roll to stop to roll a few times if you can.

That little kid was killing me. "Where ya going, where ya going?" You so nonchalantly "Nurburgring". :)

Thanks for the vids, I think the Nascars will be fun the sound great like they have all of this power built up inside them that needs to be unleashed. Reminds me of last night. Me and my buddy took his 485 hp Nova out for some long straight running in second about about 3500 and just punching it.

So all cars have it? How cool! I cant wait. I some video of the TT demo with on-board view that a player could switch, but once I downloaded the TT demo it was never there :(
I hope its in full game.

All except standard. :)

I'm going to have to ask you to quit moving the camera in your vids the ...............position..............is getting me a little sick :)

I don't need to go back and read your last reply. Each car is on flat level ground and the ....................CAMERA..................POSITION..............is the same. Your saying the vette was different because it looked like it was going uphill well the Motul isn't.

I really don't think you need to talk to me like I'm a little kid. Just like you stated to JDMKING13 "bro." Talking down isn't the answer.

Whatever, I am done evidently you can't talk without getting offended. Think what you want and I will think what I want we have both stated our theories and neither of us know the truth until we play the game. So off with ya.

So you really think that just because we can't see the roof of a car, even though the camera is in the same spot, it's suddenly a hood cam. Well, we can see the dash in the cockpit cam, so I assume you think that's the dash cam then right?

I'm not gonna argue anymore about this, it's hopeless. I'll just post my proof when I generate it.

You don't have to because I got footage of a car that shows hood cam and roof cam in the same video! Im uploading it right now!

I still do want to put something together to get an idea of the exact position of their camera view, and the field of view. Field of view is pretty important.

All they need to do is put the camera at head height in the cockpit view and the move the camera to infront of the windshield. Perfect bonnet cam.

How hard can it be?! If PD allowed 1 camera option that allowed the player to set the height and position within a certain area that would be perfect

off topic, but are u able to get video of the so called high and low beam (or was it just lights on and off) that people have mentioned before? and post it into the other thread where you said people can request something :)

cheers mate

I'll demonstrate this with Lego (Lego is the Hood)

This is what it looks like in GT5 right now:

This is what it should look like: (Drivers Eye Height)

EDIT: Why aren't the photos showing?

EDIT 2: Still???

Thank you, that explains one thing I was talking about earlier. Think of the lego as the hood. Roof view is first pic, hood view is second. Visuals are always better than words. The way the hood would look directly in front of the camera (like in the second pic) just doesn't match with what we see in the pictures of the demo being posted. The lego doesn't mimic exactly what the pictures represent, but it gets the point across.

Falango I want you to see the video of the SLS Im about to put up with a hood view camera view, and a roof view camera view. Then give me your opinion on the views 👍 My camera is dead ugh.

Edit I know what your saying with the camera position all i'm saying is on some cars In the demo you can actually drive from the top of the roof cam it looks like GT5P, you also can drive where you can see your front hood only. Yes it is high I will agree with you on that, but maybe it's PD attempt to make a hood cam If its good or not thats for the gamer to decide. Again all i'm saying is during my time with the GT5 demo there was a view from the hood and roof My video is uploading now. 👍

Your welcome!

Roof View:

Proper Hood View, view at the drivers eye height.

Amazing angles! thanks for upload. Looks good. That car looks incredible inside! almost like real thing!

By the way do some burnouts in the demo. Brake and gas, is it possible?

No doubt I wanted to get more footage however my camera was dying ughhh Will get more tomorrow for you guys here is one I got with the grass effect however my camera died so i could not get the whole video.

White Lambo ,another example of hood and roof cam IMO.

I'm wondering if we will get an "over the shoulder"' view for open wheel cars, like in F1 coverage.

The roof & hood cams gave a nice sense of speed in the SLS I think.

I can clearly see the difference between the old roof cam and the hood cam that is now being shown. Problem here is, from what I can see of the vids posted, this is just another angle available for replays and does not necessarily mean we will be able to race with that view. We do know however it is possible for PD to include both cams while driving, but the question is will they? 4 different driving views would probably be ideal, especially for those standard cars.... only a few weeks away until we find out though :)

I hope we will have a lot of different views, and different angles. I will not play the whole game with just the same view everytime

It would be great to have a hood/bonnet cam, but the thing is I really don't like the bar style rev counter. If it had the dial type rev counter that would be perfect.

And I hope the will add a virtual rear mirror with the hood/roof view beacuse the only chance to control cars behind you with gt5p is to press "down" button, but you can't use often into turns (I know you can but it's not comfortable) a virtual rear mirror in the upper side of the screen will be better imho

That's still roof cam, only lower...:guilty:

Agreed, it's not quite a hood cam. A hood cam would be down at a perspective close to the windshield, kind of like what Terminator tried to show us with the lego. It seems like it's closer to a drivers eye view from the surface of the windshield, maybe the upper half of it. I actually didn't really think there were both of those views because I hadn't seen both on the same car. Now that I have seen that, I can see what people are saying with the hood view. My assumption was that the roof cam just looked a bit differently on each car. It does make sense now. Sorry for getting some people going about it, haha. To me though, that hood cam is too high. It's too much like the roof cam for me to really care about having both.

No you can actually pick that view I posted picture with the two views from not replay mode, but in game mode.

@ gejost that looks like the same camera view for the SLS.

I see... but the videos you posted just before with the Lambo etc was all from the replay right? cos there was like outside cinematic camera in there too..

Is it still just 4 driveable angles (where Hood replaces Roof)... or is there now 5? (Cockpit, bumper, chase, roof and hood)

Cheers
