^ My 'like' was only for the Fords, for the record, lol. With the exception of the '69 body style of Road Runner, I never understood the appeal of the larger muscle cars. The size is just ridiculous for a two-door, sorry.

Cars should only be big out of necessity. And while I can appreciate a fast big car, I abhor the concept of a big fast car (Pagani, Lamborghini, etc.).

Edit: Oughta contribute and not simply vent.

What taillights do people use for this conversion? They can't all be Shelby parts...

This had some extremely subtle flame-like wave designs in the paint, look close...

The world is such a small place...this one is a model car built by John Teresi, a friend of mine. Don't know if he's even heard of Gran Turismo.

It hadn't even occurred to me it was a model.

So, I guess the LSX Willys got caged. It doesn't look nearly as sleeper now, but it also doesn't look nearly as deathtrap. This thing is making at least 700 hp, and it's rumored to be capable of 180 mph. Rumors say that it got caged so that it could make an appearance on Street Outlaws.

^ Shouldn't 700hp make that quick enough for time slips where a cage is mandatory anyway? I don't see it weighing much.

Here is yet another Buick. This Buick here can run in the 7s in the quarter mile.

This guy's not from Colorado, by chance? I just saw something extremely similar in traffic. Of course, classic domestics were all over town today, I'm wondering if I missed a show (the local Goodguys Nationals isn't until September). I'm not a particularly huge fan of the body styles of this vintage, but this stance helps a ton.

Last I knew, it was 1,800 pounds without cage.

He's from Kansas, but a ton of racers are there for Rocky Mountain Race week which is going on right now.

The first two reek of Mopar, likely Chrysler/Imperial for the first and Plymouth for the second, but the third is definitely a 1955 Ford Ranch Wagon. I'll get back to you on the Mopars if someone doesn't before me.
Yeah the cars definitely looked like Mopar.

The context is really throwing me--there's not enough immediately around it to gauge its size. It's got the C-body fuselage look but it seems like it could be smaller than a 300. It's also more likely a Dodge/Plymouth (because of the grill, I'm leaning toward Dodge) than the previously suggested Chrysler/Imperial. You're somewhere between 1969 and 1974, with a couple years newer being a very slight possibility. Anyway, I'm tired of seeing Chargers and Road Runners in my hunt so I'm calling it quits for now.

Oh my goodness.

We need more goodies here, this is getting good.

Ooh, stop the press right there. Now that is a good-looking custom pick-up. No fuss, no exaggeration, and no problems. Simple, but elegant at the same time. Good lord, some people can create true art when it comes to custom cars, can't they?
