Yeah they are from the (62?) Chrysler 300H...not to be confused with the 1970 Chrylser 300 Hurst which was also called a 300H sometimes.

Did you know some of those letter cars could be had with a 6.17 axle from the factory?!

Iceburns, I totally agree with you. Any more pics of you Avanti?

Can't at the moment... it's up on a lift above the TR-6 which awaits a rocker arm from Moss Motors:guilty:

New garage at the new house is being built that will give us a combined 7 garage spaces once we move in at the end of this summer... with the trucks being parked outside, we should have room for almost everything now!:scared:

Come to think of it, I haven't driven the Champ in two weeks now... haven't really had a need for it. I gotta drive it this week, it needs some lovin':sly:

I can sympathize, My Biscayne has been in the shop of a guy who's a mechanical genius, but his job is to keep manufacturing machines running, and he won't be able to work on it for quite a while. maybe even two months. I'm losing my mind. I haven't seen the car since July. The good news is that he's doing more than putting in the 305 we have for it, he's taking it apart, replacing all the seals, and detailing it, and doing the brakes, apparently. I can't wait. (anymore) I talked to him yesterday, and he said that it would be about a month to do once he has the time to get to it on the weekends.

Here are some pics I saved from the last Studebaker meet, however!

Here's an Avanti with AMAZING paintwork. That car was beautiful... it was literally a mirror.

This is what I hope my Champ will look like in a year or so!

A very, very fast Studie!

An old President

A very... unique Studebaker!

My dad's Studie Avanti with Avanti II wire wheels (I love em)

I was thinking tonight. (Thinking?! but.. he's from Kansas!)

How would a Chevy smallblock with 8 mikuni carbs run?

Well I think it might be a pain to tune because the short-ram EFI setups are tough, I hear.

A smaller plenum means better low-rpm operation, so that setup would probably be really good for torque (and responsive, too; good vacuum signal).

Ever seen a 400+mph piston engined pass at the salt lakes? Here's the Burkland car with 2 417 Hemis making a pass. The guy filming sums it up at the end. :dopey: (mild language warning)

400+ mph

TURN IT UP LOUD!! :dopey:

Not a "hot rod" per se but it storms the quarter in 12.5's and weighs in over 8,000 lbs so I'd say it's cool engough for this thread:

Thanks for the link! 👍

Thread over... Look very closely. This isn't a photoshop.

Damn, a 32 Ford Roadster going that fast, I wonder what that feels like.

Is it just me, or does the Navy blue '60 Impala in that gallery seem like the hood is severely misaligned?

Hey,

Thats one sweet ass sweet picture of the New Cobra Mustang, Camero, and Dodge Challenger together in the pouring rain. Although as you notice the bowtie is just a little bit further in front. Coming from a hardcore GM/Chevorlet fan that sends a messege.

Thanks for the pic! It made my day.
