Wow, thats what I'm talking about right there! Best hot rod photos I've seen I think.

This thread has been lacking tremendously, so we need some road race muscle cars to make up for it.

Some race-bred Vettes:

The pickup is pretty neat, if it had a 2x4 setup it would justify to run it with no hood.

and that black Fairlane with the 427 FE is awesome!!!

Was just a regular day at the car show until this beast showed up. There was a lot of custom work put into this car just from looking at it. One of the coolest things is the taillights, those pistons were in that engine and he got new ones when he rebuilt it.

Woooooo.............very nice a rat a little diferent! 👍

Like the "details" (exhaust, tail lights...)

I think the only problem is the seats, imagine a long trip on this seat... Aaaahhhhh my butt :D

Even worse than that...THERE'S NO FLOOR!!!

Definitely a short-distance driver...or the owner is very tolerant of getting zinged by pebbles.

In the spirit of the Corvettes up there, here are some more road race muscle cars mostly from the Trans Am series:

Spoiler is a little weird on this one but the rest of the car has an awesome look to it with the flared fenders. Almost could pass as a '69-'72 Skyline 2000 GT-R

The red Challenger was built by Glenn Bunch and was in this month's Grassroots Motorsports. It's got 800 horsepower and placed third (first in class) at this year's UTCC.

man, thanks!!! that was an awesome read. I did not know the car and ignored all of its history!!!! whan an awesome car, and practically homemade and quite competitive in its non-vintage-status times!!! amazing.

around here, that's a classic dirt track machine. there's a micro dirt track oval not ten miles from me. my step father used to run that track in cars like those, and even my mum has associations with them

I've got a pic request! SN95 New Edge Mustangs! I'm seriously thinking of getting one by the end of summer and was hoping I could get some ideas. I'll start it off!

those deep (and real) Cragars with white lines set it off 60s nice!!

This is a repost from the Mean and Sexy car pic thread but you kinda dont see 2000 hp cars every day:
