...prime candidate for a restoration!
i found heaps of reference photos:

the model was based on this actual car

details are completely documented but.......

it looks so nice slammed and simple...im torn, and want another one now

i see a rat rod

chips police bike i found is going through a cafe conversion:

easy and heaps of fun, i will definitely be looking for more bikes.

the burger joint cars:

sterilized and ready for primer, Volkswagen too and the weather is looking good today, still trying to find some decent 40's colors tho..might have to do a big city shop soon

another simple side project:

custom 69 flatbed (planning matchstick panels and roll bars for this and the morris)

I used to have that same Landy...Damn i miss that thing.

I would love to see this 1/25 scale, found some complete 1:43's getting real good coin on ebay

more mess here:

bit frustrated with my second batch of undercoating (different product):
12826220164_992e208345.jpg

even after some sanding they still look like sand stone, five cars might have to get a restart?

the first product and car came out like vinyl, same method and care, different can:

interior (matt tan and gloss brown) and custom clear windsheild (blister pack) complete

my new favorite toy while i get some paint straight, another VW (a collection has started) with cool baga bits:

Learned a lesson from digging through thrift boxes ~i found that the really cool cars don't always jump out and the cars that jump out are not always as nice up close....i need to take more time and find more of the cars that i keep grabbing for just wheels or parts, but quickly become my favorite models back in the garage.

Chips bike is a prime example: black paint hid all the detail (just like my blurry photo), crappy paper stickers badly stuck on, miss fitted plastic seat, awkward stance...etc etc i only grabbed it when i noticed the cast spoke/rubber wheels not thinking it would end up as my first complete custom, no need to paint this sucker:

Mad max/ toe cutter bike project is go...i prolly dont need to mention that im totally hooked on this hobby now?

Can't you just sand that down with some very high grit sandpaper and maybe polishing compound to really get a smooth surface?

It appears my memory is crap.. I actually had the later model of the same Landy (still 1/25 scale), the headlights were on the wings as opposed to the grill.

Loving the 'Chips'/Mad Max bike BTW. 👍

i had a good go with the 2000 grit paper but it takes a fair amount of sanding to get it smooth and im losing too much detail/exposing raised bits..and having trouble in the tight places.....i wont buy the cheep undercoat again, gunna start from bare metal on these ones :/ that first one (40's coupe) was so much less work and has a much better finish

@Mad_Mazax more pics of the dog lol

this guy:

zipper, an aussie bulldog shar-pei cross doesn't build but loves to tare stuff down

Just got my filthy hands on a couple of these fiat 500s. I have been waiting for them for a long time. I did a wheel swap just a minute ago to get an idea how it will look slammed out. Gotta strip paint next and get to work making some fender flares...

Well here is that Motorhome I have been working on lately.

So far I got the body painted white, I even painted the base sublime green and the bumpers and grill silver since it looked so bad. Gave it a set of new wheels since the old ones had pretty much had it, rolls surprisingly well. So far so good! :D

Going to design the graphics, add some detailing to the headlights, taillights, grill and the interior and it will be finished!

Here is the Hamada so far.

Got that cut fixed from where I made a mistake while cutting the spoiler off. Wheels have been swapped to best fit it. Car has been painted blue while the bumper was painted yellow. I admit the bumper did not turn out the greatest but I guess it will do.

Here is a neat wheel swap I did last night.

Viper is going to be a custom later but I just thought I would make a picture of it with those wheels before it gets stripped.

As for the Vette, I just put the wheels from the Viper on it since I didn't want it to go to waste. Not the best choice in my opinion but better than nothing.

I've got a "68 Plymouth Cuda I'm working on right now, but I'm keeping it all under wraps for now.

But I will say one thing: It'll take too long.

@Sonygamer455: Love how the Motorhome is coming 👍, can't wait to see the finished Hamada :), and the wheels on the vette are terrible for the car :P, but better than nothing as you said. :)

Thank you Johnny1996! :) I can't wait to finish the Motorhome.

Here is the design I am going for. ;)

Not shooting for 100% accuracy though, its going to have a few personal twists of course. ;)

It may be a while before the Hamada gets finished but it will be worth it in the end. :)

As for the Vette, yes I agree. It could be worse though. ;)

That looks really good, and the paint shceme you're going for is perfect. you should really try to find some truck-looking wheels for it :0
Thank you Cano! :) Big shout out to homeforsummer! He was the one that mentioned it to me. ;)

As for the wheels, I was thinking about about gutting the Atari Motorhome for its wheels at first but I decided on those instead as my personal touch. ;)

Some progress. Still not finished.

that thing looks great! love the green race visor, notes taken, and yep those wheels fit perfect.

The bus wheels look ok, not so standard but i see what cano is saying...what a great old cast, one i remember well

this thing is gorgeous!

I'm currently sorting out rubber with my usual procrastination (scared of running out of things to do) but i will try to settle on these:

12919111735_58587a583f.jpg

White walls on the shoe-box (the look i wanted and nice enough fit), redline rubber on the 56 van (rolls like a dream)

12919172655_2c99ffe231.jpg

Polished stock steel for these two, the ute may not get painted now (definitely not the bumper), replace the matchstick bed idea with scale checker plate/polished roll bars combo

12919339903_4be2843848.jpg

Chevelle wheels went to La troca and while trying crx civic wheels on the Chevelle, I got a race trailer idea so there's a scratch trailer on the drawing board. These two will stay together

Desk lamp is also coming with less grainy photos to follow hopefully

It works with anything of a small size.

I'd make my own instead. The one I made is large and is entirely torn apart, I'll probably just make a new one later.

I'm torn between having my own or getting one like in the article. This time of year isn't nice to Hot Wheels customizers who live in the northeast US, unlike those such as @R1600Turbo who live in a place with perfect weather pretty much year-round.

Dude. I'm in Canada...

You can just make a small booth and use it in a basement washroom so long as it has an exhaust fan.
