Most creative custom I've seen, ever.

I was going to share photos of the Skyline card tonight, but regrettable stuff happened on my way home from work, I got home late, and will post it tomorrow night.

I did some more work on my Civic EF, but I hope the JDM guys don't want to kill me. :nervous:

After these pictures were taken, the body was filed down to the level of the interior walls.

I lately have been wanting to customize one of them Civics and I was going to get one last week and this week, but of course my Wal Mart didnt have any. What sucks is there where plenty before and then they somehow disappeared, like somebody raided the dump bin!

I always seem to have a thing for coming up with ideas right when the vehicles I need become unavailable. Best to get some vehicles before they get gone. ;)

:guilty: Guilty.

But anyway, that's the ups and downs of customizing. Usually if I have a car that I have planned to customize and the store doesn't have it, I either get another car for another custom job or get new collection additions or work with what I already have.

My latest issue is my '68 Barracuda. On the last page or so, I posted a picture of what happened to it. In case you didn't see, the base split like how paper cuts and now I find myself in the market for a new 'cuda.

Another guy made another one that was horrible, with a carbon fiber-style card that looked like it was made in Word. But this one is pretty sweet lol. I would have taken away the Hot Wheels logo, though -_-

So i'm fairly recent to all this hotwheels customizing stuff, And I just looked through all 152 pages of this thread yesterday. It got me motivated and I looked and sorted through all my hotwheels from like 7 years ago, and now I want to do a wheel swap, What do you guys thing?

Those white things are great parts car, the wheels rule, the engine is awesome and all metal, and if you're patiend enough, you can even get some side pipes, complete with headers, if you cut them off the chassis. Been there done that.

I'll advise, though, that the rear wheels of the white thing won't fit in the Chevelle at all.

Hmm, I guess i'll chuck the Chevelle idea in the bin then, I also just tore appart a med-evil with real riders, I didn't snap a picture before I tore it appart, but I kept the plastic bit which has the motor, the driver, and the real riders.

This is the same car, just, y'know, off google.

To top it all off, this car is a tag-along with a custom controller set I named Black Beast (Kokuju). "Skyline -> Godzilla -> monster".

Been a while since I posted in here but I found this video on youtube and I thought you guys might like it.

seen these videos a while back...if you read through the comments (i know, painful) you will see that the creator wasn't too keen on this process after a few goes he mentions that consistency and other things were major issues. I was way more excited about a resin casting method that was posted back in the early history of this thread...not sure how that eventuated....i also recently came across a builder on instagram filing down stock plastic wheels to add rubber too...he gets a real nice rolled look (check out "78toy4dr" on IG)....

...speaking of which i have started a die-cast customs profile on Instagram (mad_zamax) where i will most likely take the majority of my hobby posts...thanks again for the help and comments you guys definitely helped infect me with this hobby...please look me up if any of you have IG accounts...please no offense is intended, my reasons are purely time management...will drop back with some completed pictures for sure.

hmmm...not even after a tub? im looking and thinking its possible with a very short diff gap?

Fenders look awesome. What did you use to make them?

I use sculpey. Sometimes it does not stick to the raw metal well, so if the piece comes off I super glue it on. It is easy to use and sands well. It is cheap also.

Maybe could have kept it with some masking tape, indeed. But this opens up the chance to add a more realistic decor, like some brand of stuff or a made up moving company of some sort. Or something.
