Now that Daytona looks pretty intimidating. Nice job, @Ustad. šŸ‘
Thanks buddy.. :D
I still love original muscle car stance more, but that looks pretty cool. Just needs a wheelswap now. :)
I just gave it the movie look. i too like the stance of muscles, but it was like a monster daytona :P
I don't have real rider wheels. neither those are available in my country :(

Hey R1600Turbo, no rush of course but do you think you can get the reassembly up sometime? I still need it for my customs, especially now.

Again no rush whatsoever, if you have things going on I understand just fine. ;)

Everything was going good....

until the end...

It was already going bad when I found out I was rubbing off the polish with my fingers when I was putting down the masking tape. No stripping, no priming once again. This time it actually didn't work out. That's surprising because this C7 isn't losing any paint:

C7's set for a Dream Cruisers addition. C6 was supposedly an Illustrious a year ago, but it became another test model for the anodized paint. I wasn't happy with how the same paint came out on the Wild Thing since it came out more like a satin finish than the ideal chrome finish.

I reckon the cause may have been the silicone protective layer that metal polish leaves behind. So what I did with the C6 was I gave it a rinse in water and wiped it down with a washcloth using moderate pressure. It seemed to help, but I was hoping for a stronger mirror finish. I guess that could be fixed with more stages of polishing.

Ha! Thanks.
I have some more Scions I want to paint, but can't think of a good color. Any ideas?
Your welcome! :) I was thinking a metallic blue, but that's just me. I have a tendency to paint every custom with that color for some reason.

In other news, been working on this Pontiac GTO I got recently:

Here is my progress so far:

I managed to grind down the hood scoop to where there was practically no trace of it. Since the GTO I am designing does not have one, that's why I grinded this one away. Still have more to do with it though.

Also, took apart this Tall Ryder yesterday and I am about strip it sometime soon:

Thinking about painting this one metallic blue and leaving the wheels the way they are. I have several ideas in mind for the decals.

Like I said before, my goal is to shine some light on some of the most highly underated vehicles Hot Wheels has ever done and to give them the attention I feel they truly deserve. This casting is one of them for me. I can't wait to finish it and post it Lamley! :D

Anyways, nice work @Sonygamer455. Can't wait to see them finished. :)
Thanks mustang fanatic! :) I have more castings that are close to being finished that I will post sometime soon. ;)

Oh and kudos for taking apart a $5 GTO. :P
Haha I have waited quite a while to customize one of these and since this is the only one I have seen lately, that's why I took it.

I didn't expect any good reactions to grinding down the hood scoop to be honest. I am not shooting for Le Mans GTO by the way, even though it may look like one. ;)

Eh, you messed up when responding to me. Who knows when a new one is coming out again.

This is the one I am making by the way:
Skeeter Pontiac GTO (screenshot).png

Not going for the ride height but I may try to see if I can find some MC5's to fit it and then those torg thrusts will be used on another car. If I don't than I will just leave them.

Luckly for me I already have the textures:

Now I just have to crop away everything around that hood decal and resize it and it will be ready. :D
