I've just started resto work on this Matchbox truck. While I don't have an pictures of what I've done so far, I can say that I'm working on making an interior since the casting originally lacks one. Tomorrow, I'm going to strip the paint off the body and base if the weather is good. However, I do have a question: what can I do to make a new window piece without buying another vehicle?

Grab a Coke bottle and try to find a curve or bend that has more or less the same curve angle as the windshield. I'd go sidewindow-less to show off the interior. The rear window can be cut from any HW blister bubble or something.
Thanks, and I actually am considering not giving the truck any side windows. :)

That's an awesome find, that will look sick once it's done, can't wait. As for the window, I have a ve ute iam doing and I glued the window in, don't know why, must have been high, but anyway. I stripped it again because i didnt like the paint job, just dropped it in a jar of paint stripped. Go to clean it up, here's all the dropping plastic window, man I felt stoopid. So I have to make a window to, let me know how you go, id appreciate it, thanks mate.

Yep. I still have a LOT of wheel-less bodies I don't want or have any use for. How soon do you need them? I still got like 20-30 more cars I need to take apart.

Hi guys! Thank you very much for your words! I have three more finished DDs here to show you. If Emmcee is a Senna's fan like me he's going to have a heart attack, lol !!!

AOS, I think the graphics don't match the edges because the pics and themes are not big enough to fill three complete pannels ( sides and roof). I suppose they would become incomplete or something like that.

Luiz Felipe

Ohh stop it, now I can't wait, knowing how good your work is, this will be epic. As for Senna, iam a huge f1 fan and he is the greatest driver ever in terms of raw speed and commitment. The only person who has come close to being able to push a car to its limit like he did was Schumacher.

Emmcee, prepare your coronaries, hahaha!!!

Senna's death was a big loss not only to us but for all F1 and this sport! I have the same opinion of yours, he was unique! As a F1 enthusiast I can ensure he left a gap that will be very very hard to fill... You cannot imagine the commotion that was in Brazil, all the country cried and stopped for days to accept the loss of it's illustrious son, too sad!

Schumacher was also an outstanding pilot, no doubt about his talent and numbers. I'm a fan of that guy but he came from an era without opponents, that's the truth.

Well, talking about good things, here goes the Dairy Delivery on John Player Special decoration, on an apology to the black Lotus 97T Senna drove and hit his opponents on more powerful machines. It was done the same way of the other van I posted yesterday, but unfortunately the printer didn't have a golden ink to replace dark yellow of the decals. Perhaps in the future... lol

Hope you and all the guys enjoy!

Wish you all a nice weekend!

Regards,

Luiz Felipe M Vallone

That is wicked mate. Wowee!!! The colors that made senna famous. As for Schumacher, I disagree about his challengers. Schumacher was the fastest guy out there for over 10years. No matter who won the title, weather it be Hill, villeneuve, hakkinen or alonso, Schumacher was the man to beat if you wanted the title. I know how big the impact of senna was in brazil. My step dad is from Uruguay and his mother was in brazil when the funeral was held. Incredible she said. Aside from that, I haven't watched a driver yet that possess's the certain aura when ever you watch or see him. His lines around Monaco were closer to the barriers than any other driver Ive seen. Donington 1993 showed just how good he was. He was special to me that's why the avatar is of ayrton taking the perfect line.

I think I was not so fair in my explanation. Schumacher was "The Man", I'm his big fan, but I only think he was many steps forward the opponents of his era (but it is his credit, not his fault).

I would like to see him challenging against Prost, Mansell, Senna, Lauda, Piquet or Villeneuve (the father, another lost crazy genius). It would be fantastic and unforgettable! Can you imagine?

Well... history is written and today in day Schummy's numbers are there to be reached! I doubt somebody will do that in the next 50 years! Very sad to see this other genius in this health situation of today!

Thanks for your words, Emmcee! 👍👍

Schumi did battle it out with Prost,Senna,Mansell,Piquet,Patrese all at once in 91,92 and 93 picking up 1 pole and 2 victories in those years in a vastly unpowered Benetton.

I would like to see mooooooooore, much more!!! Hahahaha!!! The guy was showing his great skills while some of these guys were retiring...

Have you ever seem that battle between Arnoux and Villeneuve?

Wowwwww, it was F1!!!

I finally found a BMW E30 the other day. I wanted to remove the tampos, but I guess the paint must have been less resistant than what I'm used to because I managed to rub some of it off.

Oh well, I guess that just turned into a bigger project.

So today was the day I decided to repaint my VW New Beetle. I just didn't like all the stars and everything on it.
