@Cano If you don't mind me asking, what brand of paper do you use to make those tampos, and what computer program(s) do you use to make them?

That's what we're here for, no minding at all! The paper is... whichever we can find in here. I frankly don't remember the brand, but the important part is that it must be for laser printers, as there's paper, either clear or white, for deskjet printers and laser printers, but a deskjet will never match the quality of a laser printer, and maybe won't even give you the resolution you need for the really small details to be noticeable (600 dpi), and even if it does, it won't look like a laser print. Yes I know, lasers don't grow on trees, just go to office max and spend $2, it's totally worth it.

As for the program, I use Photoshop all the way.

North Carolina, USA. We don't have a Hobby Lobby, only Michaels, Office Max and Staples.

Mmhh, you could maybe try ordering it online. Or look around in local hobby shops, there ought to be one or two at least. Hell, if we have a co8uple here in Mexico, there must be at least one in North Carolina.

Can people please stop calling them 'Tampos'! The correct term is 'Decals' (water-slide). :grumpy: :D

'Tampo' is just a brand of Pad printing, similar in the way people use the brand 'Perspex' when describing acrylic sheets, or when people use the brand 'Hoover' when describing a vacuum.

So, I had to print a couple of license plates today in white waterdecal paper. Surprise! I forgot the sheet -_______- gonna have to go tomorrow morning.

Also, the most complex project for tomorrow's contest was not finished. Making a chassis from scratch is more difficult and time-consuming than I thought it would be ):

Stealth Project Generation 2. Installment 3 of 3.

So that was the Huayra, LaFerrari and now the Veneno.
That's all the Stealth cars I've got for 2014. They'll be back summer 2015.

You know what's funny? I think that gave me an idea that may enhance the appeal without losing the stealth appeal.

What we use to do customs are decals.

Standard hot wheels cars come with Tampos.

Pink polka dots?

Oh wait no, stealth appeal. Not pink polka dots then.
Don't be silly.

It's neon green.

Thanks, Nessy. I appreciate the thought.

But yeah, polka dots aside, I was thinking of black decals over a a black body (one that is just slightly different in surface finishes or value on the grayscale). Just enough to make out it's not a plain colour body, but not flamboyant enough to attract too much attention.

As per the design, I was thinking of wild tribal markings I could release all artistic frustration on. Under certain lighting angles, it could reveal it all in one area, but reveal nothing otherwise.

I could make this the standard for my Black Series instead.

Although not exactly the same, i seem to remember @Cano 's buddy Ahmed, doing a gloss black Superbird with matt black stripe/s (may have been the other way around, i forget), but from what i remember, the combo worked very well.
