I think people just call them Dremels because the biggest producer of the "Rotary Tool" is Dremel.
I know, i'm just being slightly pedantic i guess.
People calling rotary tools 'Dremels' is a bit like calling all cars 'Ford' (or Corollas).

Stealth Project Generation 2. Installment 3 of 3.

So that was the Huayra, LaFerrari and now the Veneno.
That's all the Stealth cars I've got for 2014. They'll be back summer 2015.

Once again a wicked car choice and wicked job. These are awesome, kinda makes me wanna go all stealthy with some.

Couple I've just worked on, both been lowered, kept original rims and just detailed.

Saved my best most recent retailer buff for last.

The lowering was all this casting really needed. Kept the dark blue and went
for the silver-rimmed black-spoke wheels. Looks much meaner than it did before.

I might strip one of my 2013 240Z and do a solid dark blue with no livery.

Hey guys, stumbled upon this while I was looking at slammed Hot Wheels.

I might pick up this hobby over the holidays and I've got a few questions.
I'm going to buy;
  • Rotary tool with various bits
  • Screwdrivers (should have a few)
  • Super glue
  • Paint stripper
Do I need an air-brush (or do you guys just rattle-can things?) and if I do get an airbrush, what kind of compressed air do I need to run from it (any composition or Oxygen only?). Do you guys recommend any bottles for the airbrush?

I just use a good spray paint out if the can. You don't have to use an air brush but if you have one then that's a better option but not a necessity IMO.

Hello! I just have a few small questions about a restoration I want to do:

So, I'm planning on restoring a Matchbox Lesney Superfast Vantastic. I wanted to know:

1) How can I replace the windows? It's very dirty and faded, plus it has cracks in it.

2) How can I replace the metal bar on the inside of older Matchboxes that give them suspension?

Thanks!

Hi guys first post I'm Kyle from aus have been stalking this thread for awhile now just joined though have a few works on the go mainly trucks, jdm cars ,hot rods iv been adding big blocks and lowering wheel swaps and repaints will upload some photos after :)

@Gotbeefboy564 What do you mean by "not screwing anything up?" If you drill slowly and patiently then the bottom should come off without much problem, and there's a less chance you'll drill right through the interior and windows.

Yeah that's right. Use minimal force, let the drill bit do its job. No use pushing the hell out of it. It's going to work the same.

Gravel Setup Astons begone!

After:

The 10SPs looked superb on it, but I didn't want to waste them on a purple Aston. It was also a good excuse to use up whatever J5s I have left!

Put those 10SPs on this instead. I'd have use the same opportunity to get rid of lesser popular wheels, but the One-77 just doesn't go well with anything else.

You can redo the windshield with the curved part of a Coke bottle, the plastic is strong enough and you will most likely be able to find a fitting curvature if you can use the original windshield as a base. Cut to fit and leave some extra plastic both at the top and bottom of where the windshield is gonna be fitted, so you can fold it and use them to put the glue in ther and affix the windshield in place, like I did with my Majorette Renault 4:

Be very careful with the glue, as you can easily ruin the paint if it drips around, just happened to me a week ago, wasn't happy -_-

iirc, the Vantastic doesn't have side nor rear windows, so you should be fine with that. If you want to do side windows just cut flat pieces of said coke bottle to fit and that's all.

As for the metal bar that affixes the car's axles to the chassis, your best bet would be to simply JB Weld or epoxy up the axles to the chassis and call it a day; this way you can fix the stance of the car a bit. And please, please change the wheels of that thing. The late Superfast-era Matchbox wheels are some of the worst in the history of 1:64 toy cars.
