I have a couple of sneak peeks to show you guys. Remember that orange 911 GT3 RS? Here is how it sits now!
911 GT3.jpg

It still needs detailing, and then it's done. Loving my custom paint job.

And next up, a project of mine, is a Matchbox Subaru Impreza WRX STI Interceptor.
STI Interceptor.jpg

I still have to detail the outside of the car, and paint the interior black, then detail the interior.

And my last note, I have a Skyline R34 project, and a Ford Thunderbolt project in the making right now. I will surprise you with the color of the Thunderbolt, but I will tell you that the Skyline is going to be a copy of the blue one on Fast and Furious.

For acrylic spray paint try 'Tamiya' Italian red (code TS-8) . For Enamel spray paint try 'Testors' Italian red (code 2919)

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure Dupli-color won't ever make touch-up paint for a high-end make like Ferrari. I'm pretty sure Dupli-color does mostly lower-end more common economy models found in the US auto market.

As for the red you have there, it's close. Hot Wheels uses a paint that's close to a pearlescent finish where the red reflects very little light where there is shadows. It gives the impression the paint has an illusory depth. The red you have isn't quite at that level.

It's not a cherry metallic red, is it?

No problem. 👍

Another thing. Make sure to use a white primer underbase. I painted a car in red mica (different to Italian red), and on the can it looked quite red, but turned out really dark because i used a grey primer underbase.

Will do thank you mate

Actually the red Ferrari colour has changed this year. Look at the new Ferrari formula one car, it's slightly slighty darker more fuller red than before. The formula one car is the red color the road cars are based of, just another link to past heritage and tradition. Do you know where the "prancing horse" logo comes from?

Will do thx m8
Couple things:

1) try not to double post, not allowed here. If you need to quote two posts, use the multi-quote feature, or click the "Reply" button on each post an it will add them to the reply box.

2) Text speak is not allowed either.

Just a friendly reminder.

Is that Impreza getting a police livery? It'd be great to since you kept the lights.

Nope. I live in the US, and there are some police interceptors that do not have police liveries, bull bars, and rarely, no roof light bar. Some interceptors are roughly a charcoal grey, with hidden lights. These interceptors are made for pursuit. That is the look I am going for with the STI. Still gotta remove the gold from the rims.

Skyline Update, I have the body painted and almost fully detailed. I just need to detail the front end and the interior. (But that will have to wait until I get a blue Testors Enamel.)

Thunderbolt Update, the body has been primed, and I painted the base Satin Black. I will post pics tomorrow.

Last but not least, I will post pics of the smaller projects I have been doing, Including my other Thunderbolt, and a Zombie survival vehicle.

Yeah we get undercover cars in Australia aswell but they don't show there lights on the roof like that. It defeats the purpose if being under cover. It's a matchbox casting hey? I've got the exact same casting here and did this:

Filled in the roof, custom exhaust. Love the paint on your Porsche.

Not seeing it

SF15-T-vs-F14T-RAKE.jpg

And the logo comes from a crashed Italian fighter plane. Enzo asked the family of the pilot if he could use it, and they said yes.

It's hard to see really unless the sun is shining on it, the change is so minute but you can see it if you look hard enough from the right angle. i only noticed it once i read they changed it and even then its very hard, those pics dont do it any justice and the logo was from a fighter pilot in the Italian Air Force who painted it in his planes. He was an ace pilot at the time

Sorry new at this posting thing thank you for the pointers

Not at all. If you're using your iPad's internet browser (and not the GTP App), in the message block where your existing posts are located, there should be 3 buttons located at the bottom right hand corner, "Edit", "+ Quote" and "Reply".

This forum frowns upon double posts as it clutters up the page and appears less clean and professional. To avoid creating consecutive posts, you can click on the "Edit" button to add more content to that existing post, and click "Save" afterwards. You can try that with any of your previous posts.

Loving that Impreza! Looks awesome! I left the light bar on it just for funsies. And I have no idea how to make the interior pursuit lights.

And to be honest, that paint on the 911 GT3 RS, would be Dupli-Color Pearl Blue Metallic over some Krylon Satin Black. 1 light coat of the Satin, and 2 light coats of the Blue, and viola!

[EDIT]
I just finish painting the seat belts blue, and the gauge clusters are white.

In a little bit, I will be painting the Thunderbolt, as today I picked the paint up. I just need to wait until my fiance gets home so there is someone to keep an eye on my 2 year old.

I will post pictures of everything later, most likely in an edit to this post, unless someone posts something before I get the pics taken.

[EDIT 2]

Time to show you guys what I promised! I have the Skyline, Thunderbolt, STI, and my Zombie Survival Vehicle. Here they are!

First up Ill show you guys the Skyline R34. I made this to be somewhat of a copy of Paul Walker's car from Fast and Furious.
Skyline 1.jpg

If you look closely, you can see the super glue I used trying (and epic failing) to make a roll cage. But I detailed the center guage cluster, and the speedometer, tachometer, fuel, and temperature gauges.

Skyline 2.jpg

I know that one of the lights on the rear bumper is supposed to be red, but on F&F 4, they are both "white".

Skyline 4.jpg

Next up, the Thunderbolt. This car was made for my fiance. I got this for, like, my 6th birthday from my brother. It started off with the Vintage Burgundy body, and the Chrome base. Here are some pics.
I painted the base and interior Satin Black.
Thunderbolt 1.jpg
Thunderbolt 2.jpg

The body is painted Testors Purple-Licious. My fiance's favorite color is Plum Crazy, and this is the closest I could find.
Thunderbolt 3.jpg
Thunderbolt 4.jpg

Next, Ill show you guys the STI Interceptor. I got rid of the gold on the rims, and painted the interior black. Now it looks like a true "Anti-Street Racer".
STI Interceptor 2.jpg

This is the Zombie Survival Vehicle. It started out as a Scrambulance, pictured below.
Zombie Survival Vehicle 2.jpg

I took it apart, and sprayed the white body Satin Black, and the orange insert is also Satin Black. I put it back together and got rid of the orange on the rims.
Zombie Survival Vehicle.jpg

So, ending on that note, those are my most recent projects. Hope you guys enjoy seeing these, as much as I enjoyed customizing them! And, as always, I welcome, and appreciate, any and all feedback! It is 9:28 PM here, so I will just have to say, have a good night everyone!

So, I have an update on the Supra GTR. (Yes, I know, there has never been a GTR)

I felt that the exterior needed some red, to accent the interior. So I added red to the rims, and I blacked out the axle ends, to add realism.
Supra 1.jpg

I filed down the rear underside of the base, to add a custom exhaust. It has a good amount of ground clearance. I also added the reverse, and brake lights. I left out the turn signals, as it is supposed to be a track car. /Trollface
Supra 2.jpg

I also took a SRT Viper, and removed the tampos. It came in this awesome red. So I took the 2015 Viper GTS, removed the Tampos, now the SRT and GTS are street/track twins.
SRT Vipers.jpg

And, lastly, I am just about finished with the Aston Martin One-77 Race Car. I removed the driver and passenger windows, and I painted the body, same color red as the Viper GTS.
Aston One-77.jpg

And that would be it for now. Let me know if you like or dislike what I have done so far. I just got to detail the Viper GTS, One-77, and finish the Supra GTR's head lamps.

Put roll cage in my gasser and a set of wheals from a 2014. Copo CamaroSome deatailing in the engen bay and black interior and working on a 69 camaro

I just finished that '66 Nova I showed a while back. I detailed the tail lamps, door handles and locks, and added custom exhaust. Along with a custom driver's side roll cage.

I am also working on a Fast Five Charger Daytona, which is going to have a custom paint job. I am hoping it turns out nice. I also will be doing the full detailing.

Another project is a '70 Road Runner, which is just a wheel swap, and interior detailing.

Also, I thought I would add, I am making a 2015 Hellcat Charger. The car started as a '11 Charger, from the Fast and Furious Hot Wheels series. I have the custom exhaust done, and I have the wheels chosen. I still need to strip the paint, paint it, and detail the interior. Possibly do some more customizing to it as well.

I will post pictures of all of my progress on these projects with in the next few days. Hope all of you guys are looking forward to seeing them!

Where you get the wheels for the supra? And also how you do your exhaust? Because I have a cheap and easy way to make them and they look real aswell.

I'm really glad there's as much interest in this thread as there is, but I really wish some of you got proper cameras.
I'd like to appreciate the work done, but half the time I can't see it.
