Hands of a surgeon! Love it :drool:đź‘Ť

What are those blocks, magnets? They remind me of a wet cobbled street, they/it look/s awesome.

Also, what are you clearing with, Acrylic? Enamel? the gloss level looks great.

Thanks!

The blocks are indeed magnets. Their magnetic strength isa bit too strong for the application I had wanted them for. If you recall the white blocks scattered all over I used earlier, I wanted to do something similar, but these guys always want to stick to a single line. :grumpy:

The clear coat is that weird can they call "acrylic enamel". I'm guessing it's a mix. It's be Dupli-color so it's standard quality for cars. A store associate recommended I stick with the less generic product by the same brand as this one by comparison leaves a faded finish. She wasn't wrong about it based on my previous usage of the product, but it's not too too bad.

Great pulse, Andy. As I told you over on FB, if only the details were flat black instead of all glossy, it would be a freaking winner. Drop the pen and start brushing!

AOS, I love the car. Outshines mine by a freaking mile! I did paint the tail lights and reverse lights. But the turn signals will have to wait until I grab some yellow enamel. Also, I picked up an Acura NSX from Wally World, since they sold out on the 3 Musketeers '70 Chevelle Delivery. And I will be doing touch-up to this car. And when I get a drill, you know darn well I will be painting the interior and engine.

It gives off a stock car look, and for that I don't think it needs chrome. What might have you imagined with it?

It's a real life race car, he's posted pics of the real thing before. And it needs chromes, the windshield trim, the grille surround trim, etc.

original Troy Ermish 1:1 - window chrome molding removed, grill is black-no headlamps - I could have drilled out the headlamps for more authenticity.

pretty happy with the outcome. It looks badass with the Titan and trailer hooked up...

Not even the grille surround trim? :0

Also picssssssss

That looks awesome! Shame about the rough edge on the two-tone, but i imagine it's not as noticeable in the flesh. (zoomed in photo's have a way of exaggerating imperfections) đź‘Ť

you're absolutely right. in person it looks great. my new LG G3 picks up every tiny imperfection. love the camera on this phone...

So, in a recent mail find, I was sent this crappy little McLaren F1, I'm not quite sure what brand it is:

So I decided to give it a wheel swap and repaint. I'm a bit p.o. because the photos really don't do the car color justice. Tomorrow I'll take some in the sun.

I had to make a few mods on the inside for the wheels to fit, so the back end won't stay put yet. Again, I know the pictures suck and I'll take better ones tomorrow.

Finally, I have gotten the a few projects done. Here are a couple pics:

First Ill show you the Porsche 934 RSR:

Interior

Here she is, done!

This next photo is of the Fast and the Furious 1970 Charger, basic $1.00 Walmart HW, I added these Torque Thrust Real Riders:

Next we have the Porsche 911 GT3RS, in it's amazing orange fashion. You guys might remember this from about 2 years ago. New wheels, and a painted roll cage.
11015174_1057559160927692_841132094_n.jpg

I had to add a few layers of clear scotch tape so it would roll freely. So here is the roll cage.
11039369_1057559140927694_1321562214_n.jpg

Next I have a '34 Coupe, much like the one Cano did a while back, but with the Highway Patrol tampo's. I added a motor ripped from a Rodger Dodger, and some Torque Thrusts.
11015418_1057559134261028_795140386_n.jpg

I know the motor looks terrible, but this has been waiting to be torn down for 2 years.
Next we have the Supra GTR project. I have the interior done, Ill show that first:

Next 2 pics are of the exterior. I added some NASCAR Stockcar wheels, deleted the Goodyear tampo's, and painted the rims silver. Also, painted the rear quarter windows, and the rear window black, to simulate window tint.

I apologize for the terrible lighting. I was in another room in my house, which I didn't know the pics looked this bad until uploading. I hope you guys give me some feedback, good or bad. It's obvious I finally got my hands on a drill, so Ill be posting more pics in the next few days. Got quite a few projects started finally!

I was going to (for once) paint the bottles in the interior of the 934, but scrapped that idea since no one is ever going to see it anyway.

It's rare that I will put effort into detailing bases or the interiors of hardtops.

I think I like to detail the interiors more. If someone were to look closely, they would see the amount of effort I have put into my pieces of work. Any feedback, guys?

I am happy to announce that the Supra GTR is just about done. I also have a few other projects to show you guys later. I have an appointment to go to first, but after that, I will take and post pics of those cars, including the Supra.

[EDIT]

Here are the photos I promised. First is a Matchbox Flareside F-150. It started out black with flames on the side. I removed the brushguard, and painted the yellow interior piece black. I removed the side exit exhaust, and painted the lights. I also painted the lettering on the wheels, and the outside edge of the rims.

Next up, is a Tumbler, from the Christopher Nolan Batman series. It started out desert camo.

11051136_1061333107216964_1457037579_n.jpg

Here is a '66 Nova, I gave it a wheelswap, and new paint. I painted the interior but I glued it shut before I remembered to take pics of the interior. It started off Teal, with black and red tampos. If you look closely, you can see the steering wheel I painted red.

Next up, is the nearly finished Supra GTR! I painted it Satin black, like the others so far, and I cut out the front bumpers side vents. I just need to detail the lights.
11026451_1061333130550295_2033000636_n.jpg

And lastly, I have pics of a '68 COPO Camaro. It started off life in this ugly form. This is not my photo. I forgot to take one. But this is the exact same as the car I started with.
hw_68copocamaro_2012b.jpg

So I thought I would make it quite a bit better. A color a first generation Camaro should be!

Blue! This car needed this color. I love Camaro's, and I redid this car for my fiance's mom. My fiance's dad had this car when he met my fiance's mom. My fiance's dad, and the car, are both in heaven now.

Sorry for the double post. But I just finished my first full on custom. I took a '67 Firebird 400 and made it into a pro stock dragster.
This is the car, stock. I filed down the door handles, the Pontiac insignia on the bumper was filed, I got rid of the deep grooves between the hood and bumper, and I filed off the fender flaring. Its not my photo, but I started with the very same car.

I also filed down the rear bumper, and I primed and painted it. I chose the same blue as the '68 COPO Camaro.

In this pic, you can see that there is no gap between the hood and bumper.
11063104_1062825720401036_412084444_n.jpg

For the chassis to fit the wheels I had chosen, I had to file the wheel wells quite a bit. I also added some chrome exhaust.
11042630_1062825757067699_2005665514_n.jpg

Here, I did a custom interior. I used part of a roll cage to make a mini cage for the nitrous. I added a bucket seat, and a NASCAR Stockcar racing dashboard.
11040280_1062825763734365_1537536355_n.jpg

And that is my first full on custom hot wheel. Im really proud of it. As said before, by pretty much everyone, pics show all of the details. There is hardly any screw ups noticeable by the naked eye that shows up on the pictures.

And, lastly, a little sumthin' sumthin' for the 240 Z fans out there. Just a repaint and a wheelswap.
