@jeremybatdude

Cool Datsun pick-up and welcome to the thread. đź‘Ť I think your pics are too big though, my computer almost freezes trying to load them.

Looking forward to see what you do with the EVO @yabiggoose. The roof scoop deletion is a nice improvement and well worth the hard work of filing by hand. đź‘Ť

Been quiet around here lately, patiently waiting for more art to be posted.

I'll post some more progress pics later of my two projects, a drag Supra and an RWB 930. I also need to take some decent pics of the 40 Ford camper I made.

I've been superbusy even on vacation lol, but I'm gonna start working on my projects again. Two weeks to go!

Greetings everyone !! First post here .. been following this thread for a long long while and I thought to myself... well.... why not to participate and share some customs too and chit chat about this magnificent hobby. Either as a collector or an auto enthusiast even if only a rookie in this customizing field..... what I do is just "retailer buffs" as I saw some user call them here .. as for health reasons ( skipping the lame explanations because everyone has their problems ) I have to keep away from most sort of chemicals , so as you can imagine .. as much I would LOVE to do it and feel fascinated for it , I cannot use paints , primers etc.... I mean I can ... in an open environment but even so it affects me pretty much ... even using some nail remover for tampos etc It f%#s me up pretty bad ... tried to strip paint some cars too and that was even worse !!! So I rather search for parts even if implies spending more... just searching for the colors I like... leave the tampos like the car logos etc... switch interiors... windows... get tons of fun with it and it takes hunting to another level , as I am also searching for the perfect casting without the stupid misaligned off centered logos , bad printings , not so-straight lines... you know that cheap modern HW mainlines... most of what I can get in my country .. love Matchbox but it is so rare that the few ones I can grab I cannot even think in cracking them open :) Just love those Matchbox buggers....

I get pretty messed up finding that this awesome Corvette Convertible and noticing that the Corvette logo in the front is not even near centered ... and same thing in the rear.... I know it's a dollar car ... my bad for being perfectionist and only being able to keep in the budget department ( not so budget when the mainlines are like 2.49 Euros here... around 3 dollars )

Just to finalize my first post would like to thank you for the time and attention and congratulate you all for the brilliant work !! Seen some amazing stuff here . Keep it up !! I am also stressing to see some more art ehehe .

Welcome to the forum mate, I hope you enjoy looking at these masterpieces these people share with us and inspires you to do the same. Welcome and enjoy.

Hello everyone. Im a begginer customizer, mostly doing simple repaints and wheel swaps. Ive been following this thread for a good while now and im amazing on all these awesome creations everyone makes. I will post up pictures soon and see wat everyone thinks of my creations and hopefully get a few pointers to improve my customizing skills.

That Porsche will look awesome, whats the skirts made out of? Be keen to try that myself, that's of course if you don't mind? All good ideas are worth copying IMO.

Greetings again !! Leavin' you a pic of my first custom . Removed all HW Racing tampos leaving just the little Ford logos on the sides, grabbed some clear windows and some real riders ( almost impossible to grab here - hurray ebay !) ... now sitting waiting on some detailing . Hate those dots on the tires ... paint them black with a marker maybe?

Custom Custom Mustang ? ehehe

Another three takes on trying to come close to the original ( in all three I used the New Models mainline chassis and then replaced with the Boulevard versions to get the wheels and metal base )

The first two Mustang Concepts and the Corvette Stingray Concept ( yeah I'm a concept car looney :P )

As for detailing .. none yet ...

Just some sheet aluminum I found at the hardware store, it was in about a 5X7in rectangle. I grabbed two sheets in case I needed to double the thickness, but one sheet seems strong enough and its very easy to work with.

yeah just a black sharpie but color the whole tyre not just dab over dots as its a different black but it will bring it up nice and shiny still. Good work on all your customs mate, job well done.

@ budget crx- yeah I had a feeling it was just aluminium, looks good though.

It's been a few weeks. Work has been crazy and I've been burnt out so when I get home the last thing I want to do is work on my HWs. I found this while shopping this past weekend. I had a set of real riders I tore out of the boulevard Porsche 914. I like the color combo.
