That's why the corona should be yellowAh, that thing. I have another one waiting for me to tear it appart.
Also, yes on the blue. It can be a problem though, lately I've been painting everything blue :/
Slight update on the Firebird:
Managed to squeeze a couple coats of primer on it today. There's a lot of little bits/imperfections i'm unhappy about, but as a whole i'm quite pleased with it thus far. I need to add some side exit exhausts then pay some attention to the interior.
Wet sanded the MX-5 the best i could.. but it's still real orange peely. Need to add a final coat of blue (sanded away to the primer in some spots) then hit it with a shed load of clear, in hope that it will lessen the rough texture. The blue itself is actually quite dark (seemed to get darker as it dried), but i'm still happy with it. Very tempted to paint the roll bar and wheel spokes orange.

I'm not that confident that i can make them much thinner without jeopardising the strength.. I will however, round off the edge/lip of the arches, but that'll be the best that i can do. 👍

Thanks man. 👍No way I think they looks bang on, I have to agree with the wheels to, orange would work a treat but bronze would match the cage.
Great. 👍Yes, that oughta make them look a lot better. Also, change the wheels.
maybe i should paint the Torqs too.
Thinking of painting the seats on the MX-5 matte red. Thoughts?
Nonsense. Just because there's no putty work, doesn't mean it's not on par (or even surpasses), with what i do.@Nessy: yeah I think it looks quite tough but it's still not as good as your work.
This photo definitely needs improvement:
As can be seen, there's still plenty to do, but i'm really pleased with the form. Although it's not exact (slightly exaggerated in parts), i think it has the feel of a CR-X Del sol.
[EDIT]

My painting capabilities are awful.

Those are so good. I remember the Orange one, the blue looks even better. You should do one in white.![]()

It would seem WSPs remain the irresistible choice for me.

LOL! Why not paint your own? I know it's not your normal process, but it would be amazingIf Mattel releases in white, I will be sure to!
Only to be gutted later when they actually do release a white one.LOL! Why not paint your own? I know it's not your normal process, but it would be amazing

Yea, true. Did you know he released the black one because he wanted the details, but couldn't do them all. And the black covers the details, since they are black .Nah. I don't think you've seen my box full of other cars that I haven't even started on. It is no exaggeration when I say there are hundreds of unstarted project that have sat in the backlog for years.
I'm looking to see if I can finally start one of my 1:24 models this weekend.
Also, the primary reason is that I've made the 934 collection a detailed-exclusive. Meaning each mainline release I get will receiving detailing. There won't be a separate collection of unmodified 934s. All I'm missing now is the black one.
