I just took pictures of my last completed resto/custom, so I'll be posting it soon enough, I'll edit them out today.

A dremel makes my life so much easier, but at least filing plastic isn't a chore unlike filing metal.

Anyway, got that page printed out at school :D

More here, as always.

Don't laugh at my Exige. I'll fix those lights. :(

You have no idea how many Studebakers I've slaughtered (and will continue to slaughter) for those wheels. It's so bad I should be banned from this thread and sentenced to death.

Have you wasted any of them, or do you just need the quantity? They are nice.

I just want their wheels, like how people killed elephants for their tusks. Har har har! I've gutted 6 teal Studebakers so far... I received about 12 of them in the mail today, loose and carded combined.... I'm keeping one yellow and one teal to add to the collection, but the rest are getting the scalpel. It's not to say they're going in the Donor Dump for good, I might use them for a colour series in the future, but again if anyone wants to buy/trade something for any donors, I'm all for it.

Tell me about it... hand filing feels so old school, it's like i'm Jesse James.. and you guys are OCC (orange county choppers).

Hand filing is okay, so long as the material is easy to wear through abrasion, like Urethane Foam.... or polyester putty. Sands like a dream!

No just fixing the 240Z, (every minute that goes by, my hate grows for that particular cast.. it's awfully inaccurate).
Skyline convertible sounds cool though 👍, you should do one. I came across a 1/18 Skyline someone turned into a pick-up the other day... thing was insane!, also seen a 1/64 HW R32 Skyline that had it's fugly bodykit shaved off, and was de-spoilered, looked Awesome!.

Stop lying to yourself AOS.. you know that a rag-top Skyline is the car of your dreams. :D

I was going to do that do. Right now, I took an S2000 and cut the wing off.

Sounds good. I plan on doing an S2000 myself (albeit a better cast than the HW imo), was thinking of crafting a 'J's Racing' roof/cover as opposed to the 'Spoon' one found on the HW (different shape), it's going to have small rear quarter windows too, though it won't be done for some time yet.

@ Apok.

Great idea! we should start by you sending me your Dremmel including all your accessories... if it doesn't have a flex shaft though, i'm not interested.

Forgot to comment on your Mitsubishi Warrior BTW, Awesome! detail man 👍, i came across it on another site the other day, and recognised it immediately.

Those white-walls aren't working on any of those cars. I'm going to be putting those on a '63 T-Bird, though I doubt they'll work either. If not, then it's definitely going on the Fish'd & Chip'd.

I think they look best on the Bubbletop, and make the Torino look like a TH.
I don't know, but I like them on those cars. :yuck:

They might work, but you'd be better off with white lines instead of wide walls, jusrt as in the $TH of a few years ago.

Yeah, I agree. I never thought about how white lines might look, but I do think that they would look better than these monsterous white walls. Or maybe narrower white walls for the bubbletop and red lines for the Torino.

I might just grind off a bit of the white before putting them on. If that doesn't work out, I'm going back to laces.

I quite like them on those two cars too.

Anyway, on a trip back from the hospital today, i stopped by a small craft shop i didn't even know existed (don't usually venture that part of town), and i picked up some of those little gem thingys that they used to use as headlights back in the day.

excuse crappy pic, but they're a perfect fit for the Porsche i think.

Can't really make them out from the pic, but IRL they do make the headlights pop.

In case anyone is interested, I'm ordering a drill bit and tap so I can start holding my cars together with screws. I'm getting them from here for a reasonable price. In fact the shipping is more expensive than the bits I am ordering. They also have screws, etc for the same use, but I already bought some last weekend at a hobby store so I'll use them up before ordering more.

It's $5.55 for the tap (2-56) and $1.95 for the drill bit (#50).

Now if there was a place that sold screws that tiny. I'll have to look around the next time I visit a hardware store, but thanks for sharing though, because I really don't like having to use glue to close the car up. What I'm more interested in is making decals, but I'm always so hesitant to buy paper.

Speaking of which, i finally managed to fix the wheel on that woodie i posted earlier and now all i need is that 1/16" tubing you were telling me about.;) Can you show what you recommend as in what brand and were i can find it please?:)
