Need some color in here!

(By the way, the Testors 1 Coat Lacquer "Dries in Minutes" paint is the bomb)

Nice, just nice. The red paint really brings out the NA1 đź‘Ť. Something is telling me about painting the wheels either in matt white or black.

AOS-
That Danielmodelmeister guy makes some wild things:

How many castings did he dissect for that massive tow truck?

That's what you call a frankiencar, no wait, a frankienhotwheel.

But it looks impressive anyway. đź‘Ť

Also, congrats to the people featured in Lamley đź‘Ť
Cheers Cano. đź‘Ť I didn't even realise my WIP was in there, until you brought it to my attention, cheers also jtl. đź‘Ť

Mazda's coming along nicely Jason, i really like the colour, it's just a shame the wheels aren't 16" (scaled to model size), would definitely complete the look. BTW, where's that roll bar from, Triumph?

Got bored with waiting for this windy weather to go away, so decided i'd do a quick PhotoShop to help me decide which colour to paint the 240Z.
I did plan on doing it red mica, either that or one of the two yellows i have, (one of them's Camel yellow, can't remember the name of the other one) i don't have any green white or brown, so either one of them would mean splashing out more money... but i'm actually really liking the brown option.

What do you guys think?

So..
Orange, 1 vote.
Panda, 3 votes.

[EDIT]

Silver, 2 votes.
Kif Green, 2 votes. (depending on shade) 1 vote.

[alternative accent colour/colour coded, 1 vote]

I quite like it's originality too. TBH the colours iv'e done are a bit vague (i didn't do a very good job in photoshop), so really the colours are just a rough guide.

Irrelevant when it works.

I would instead pick a solid colour choice that works beautifully on its own, and keep the arches the same colour.

edit:

Was hesitant with white mirrors, but I'll leave it for the sake of displaying an example.

I've made the PSD accessible to everyone, organized and made it possible to tamper with colours without permanently altering anything. If you want to play around with colours , just double click the corresponding layer and edit the color overlay. Leave the Overlay blending modes unless you know what you're doing.

I've added accents on a certain part of the bonnet, the rim of the wheel arch, rivets as well as making parts have metallic finishes. I've also separated the colours for each major part At1 had previously so now you can colour each part individually, such as bumpers being their own colour, wheel arches, the spokes from the rim, mirrors from the windows, etc.. If you want to colour numerous parts the same colour, right click the one layer that has the colour you want > Copy layer style, right click the layer you want to make the same colour > paste layer style.

Andy's take is gorgeous, too. đź‘Ť

Green says Mazda, purple says GT-R, red says Toyota, that's at least my impression on the colors. White looks correct, somebody said silver, silver or metallic gray I think would work fantastic. Yellow or orange, I just don't know. I'm not against it, I simply don't know what to expect.

Finally, my vote is for all the colors. Yeah, purple & green looks different on a Z-Car, but who cares? Looking at these samples, they all look great!

If it was me, I would've did blue because that's a Nissan colour for starters.

Then instead of keeping to black parts like every single racing enthusiast does, I would've went wild with it by borrowing some of Megaman's Ultimate Armor colour scheme...without the green, red or purple.

It's a toy car. Go crazy. It's fine to do it on diecasts, not on real cars. :P

What? Don't like British Racing Green? You mad, dog. Gold's over done if you look long enough but having gold trim ain't such a bad look imo.

Questionable Mods thread is in the Cars in General section. Goes there.
