Picked up a used Marantz VP-4001 and will be projecting a 720P 100-110" image. Here is 120" image on green wall (not ideal conidtions at all, still looks pretty good imho).

Oh, und RouWa:

Medailleon (sp?) ;)

It's "Medaillen", but if you spell it "Medailleon", you have the correct German spelling. In case you wonder which kind of screws are used:

100 inch = perfect. The size of a virtual GT5(P) cockpit is then almost the same like in reality, i. e. a real 15 inch steering wheel is 15 inch on the screen. I wonder if anyone has a setup with three PS3s, three projectors and three 100 inch screens. :)

I intend to play GT5 with this.

With a bunch like this:

So we can have fun like this.

Hoping for a full grid of 16 crazy guys in a LAN not online without lag. Plus you get to shake the other guys hand after you beat him.

DFGT for casual and serious racing and using the DS3 for drifting on my 32 inch 1080p tv,that i bought for GT5(for when it comes out).

Ah, vielen Dank.

Some amazing setups on here.

Here's my happy place:

Been assembling components for a couple years, the TV and sound system are pretty entry level but I'm very pleased with both. (42" 1080p, 5.1 surround, both by LG)

G25, Wheel Stand Pro (surprisingly good even on carpet), and an Ikea Poang for the chair. The Poang is super comfortable anyhow but I love it for GT, it sits low and feels right, great if you want to be able to tear down the setup and put away in a couple minutes.

That's certainly a more than adequate setup! Nice! I just sit on my office-style, high-backed wheelie chair (proper pain with the load cell :ouch:) and clamp the G25 to my computer desk! :dopey:

I like your sensible use of furniture - I was thinking of something like that myself - pro. 👍
As for a bespoke wheel stand, I think the single post designs I see a lot of would get in the way of my gammy pegs, so I'd rather opt for a two-legged jobbie, if I can find a good'un :D

Logitech G27 w/ custom cockpit + 37" LG LCD 1080p + Some sort of surround sound (still trying work out what one to buy)

Hah beautiful but there's nothin' entry level about a 42 inch full hd display. Those are just awesomeness. My 27 inch HD? There's your entry level!

edit: well actually I think my brother games on a 19 inch.

Driving force GT and a 22" monitor in 1920x1080. Cheap AND awesome

I'm a fan of sitting in front of my screen, rather than buying a 50 inch monster screen, putting it at the back fence so i can watch movies from the kitchen..

would LOVE a G27 or G25 though.

There is more to enjoying a screen than pure viewing distance and relative size. Sure, sitting on top of a 22" monitor will give you the same relative screen size as a 50" screen viewed from across a room, but it's harder on the eyes. I know what I'd rather watch my movies and play games on, all from the comfort of a nice leather sofa in the 5.1 surround sound sweet spot.

40" Full HD, Sixaxis, Onkyo 606 amp, Jamo S606 5.1 bi amp.
I hope my wife will agree with buying a G27 with a wheel stand pro so I can also enjoy playing with a steeringwheel.

I play in front of a 52" and I don't sit across the room. My cockpit is pushed up as close as it can get to it. My eyes are about 4 feet back from the screen. It's perfect. The only thing that could make it better, would be a triple screen setup (triple 24" screens, not 52" screens).

;)

I voted "With a DualShock 3/Sixaxis on an HDTV"
because it is the best I could vote.

I'm going to play GT5 in my living room, watching a 100" screen (InFocus DLP Projector, 1080p) and listening from my 5.1 Home Cinema (Yamaha AV, HiEnd AudioSpectrum FL-FR-C Speakers & Crystal Audio SL-SR & Sub).
I can't use G25 in my living room but I'll try it......
I'll be able to change my projector and buy a new HiEnd 1080p projector (LCoS) to have the best image!!!

I'm finally, almost, ready.
I bought my new hi-end projector (Pioneer KRF-9000FD KURO),

kuroprojector.jpg

full HD (1080p) playing for 100" screen!
I'm ready for video & audio.....
I hope, Yamauchi 'll tell us good news in a few days
