It is the term used to decribe the unbelievably fast racers :)

In other words; I am just a slower Earthling  compared to these racers

I'm going to make my "playseat" this week with timber frame's and sport seat(taken from Honda Civic)+g25(with mod) and 32fullhd!!

37" Full HD, full leather couch, fully stocked on food supply, fully filled high-octane coffee mug, full attention and clammy sweaty palms grasping a silver DS3.......hopefully fully satisfied. ;)

See what you guys have done, you have created a monster:crazy:

1)50inch Sony eco5 1080p 120hz:drool:
2)G27:tup:
3)Pcv rig. which i plan on putting racing stickers before the game arives:tup:
4)panisonic suround sound(with speakers behind me as well)
5)pseye for headtracking

Makes gt5p a DREAM

💡
6)i have two ps3s, so im just missin one, and two small plasmas(just $600 more:nervous:)

Its pretty hard to me, I just barely made it to get my own PS3,at the moment I am looking for the CE here in Japan but no luck yet(maybe they are waiting for Asian release date, still dunno),I got a bravia 42 inches 1080,it heats like hell but it looks beautiful,as long 3D show to be really promising I will get a 3D TV,but for now I will stick to this configuration:

PS3 slim(500 GB from laptop)
Bravia 42 inches 1080p V-Series
dual shock controller

and if I got lucky with some jobs maybe:

G27 and a good rig(last steering wheel I had was a bit unstable and I couldn't play very well GT4)

G27 I got from BB for $150 :D on my projector in the back yard at about 140 inches until I can get my hands on a decent 50-60 inch LCD TV (I feel 50-60 inches is more suitable than the 140 inch screen for gaming).

I know I'll have an HDTV, I'm looking at buying one in the coming months. Will probably start on a remote, but I'm looking at wheels. I don't know whether I should go simple with the DFGT or spend the cash to get paddle shifters and an LED shift light with the G27. Leaning towards DFGT since I'd be able to toggle and adjust my car during longer events.

The DFGT has paddle shifters but they are more like triggers and are not as big as the G27

This thread needs more options

Right now I have the DFGT and a LCD 1080p TV, but I want to upgrade to to a LED 3D TV

The cost of Logitech G27 here in New Zealand is around $489.60. Its too expensive at the moment. I can't hardly find a Driving Force GT on the web here in NZ (needs to be NZ website based). They're out of stock so I might stick with a controller for now. I am still a controller user because I still navigate with it, play other PS3 games or just watch a movie/trailer, listen to music. :)

Will save up for a 22" or 26" LCD TV for GT5 - actually its for my small room lol.

*update: By the way, I upgraded my stock 80GB HDD PS3 to a 500GB HDD. :)

One thing to consider, the G27 doesn't have sequential shift ability on the stick as far as I know... I personally actually like that feature to be available so it may be worth considering the G25?

Awesome, I didn't know that. I think my choice is made: DFGT!

Will pair that to a Sony 32" LED LCD with any luck.

plan to use a g25 or g27 for the most part. any one know the best deal for either of those?!? much appreciated 👍

I'm gonna use my 32'' HDTV, but I'm still pondering on what kind of input to use. Due to the fact that the space I've got available for a wheel is quite limited, I'd probably have to build a stand for a wheel myself. Right now, I'd be willing to try the upcoming HKS Hipermax III Racing Controller. If it doesn't work out, I'll have to somehow come up with a pretty small stand for a DFGT...

Lucky sod.:grumpy:

G25, 40" Sony bravia, Racing cockpit, 5.1 DTS sound.

I shall also unplug my phone for the first week and order Dominos every night and hardly sleep. Fully expect to be ill on week 2 lol.

After getting sick playing GT5 in a week you'll need this. :)
