I'm 26, and I can remember when I was 14 or 15 (Freshman year of High School) I first started to get into cars big time, so a friend gave me Gran Turismo 2, which astounded me with its massive selection of cars... so many that I'd never even heard of from Japan and elsewhere. The graphics and handling seemed weird, but I got drawn into collecting these strange cars and modifying them to be total beasts, not to mention the cars in the game that were ALREADY total beasts like the Escudo. Every day after I got home from school that year I was immersed in Gran Turismo. I eventually got a PS2 and Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec and was amazed by the leap in graphics. For some reason, Gran Turismo 4 had been out for a while before I noticed it (I think my interests had shifted for a few years) and bought it for $20 as a greatest hits title. That was ONE INCREDIBLE GAME which I may have crippled my PS2 playing for hours and running the game for days at a time. It's THE worst DVD player I own now and won't play many discs that play just fine on other devices. Anyhow, I bought Gran Turismo 5 Prologue the day I bought my PS3 a few years ago, and I played the heck out of that on and offline for almost a year before exhausting its limited potential. GT PSP was a day-one buy for me - I had my PSP for a few months before that came out and even though I installed the data of course, the disc literally has not moved from my PSP yet. I made a special custom Gran Turismo case for my PSP which has been used almost exclusively for Gran Turismo. I think I rebooted the system 4 or 5 times and used it to show pictures once or twice, but for the most part whenever I slide that power switch up, Gran Turismo is already loaded and playing!
It's TIME FOR GT5!!! It's almost here and I get more excited every day :-)
