I'm 21 years old, and I've been playing GT since his first appearence on PSX. I own and have finished almost every game of the series :
GT1
GT2
GT3
GT : Tokyo - Geneva
GT4 Prologue
GT4
GT5 Prologue

The only one I miss is GT PSP because I don't own a PSP, and of course GT5... if only they release it... :banghead:

49 now and I started playing GT when the first Gran Turismo came out.
I have all the Gran Turismo games including the three Concepts and GT3, GT4 Prolgue and Gran Tuismo 4 for Japan.

Favorite car. The Viper GTS Coupe from GT 1. Will it make a return GT 5?
I can only wish.

There is the Viper GTS '02, that is almost the same of the one in GT1 I think...

^ True and I do have them in my ... GT garages, but I miss the that blue and white striped paint job. In Prologue I use the Viper SRT -10 with the blue/ white paint job as much as possible.

I'm 39 and bought my first GT game,Prologue, in 2008. Never really tried driving sims before as I was active in real driving (autox and track days) until I drained my wallet in the process :D.

I've now played Forza 3 and Prologue quite a bit and I find they each have their own +'s/-'s with Prologue winning in the 'closer to reality' comparison. I definitely find forza much easier to drive fast but that doesn't equal closer to reality, actually the opposite for me.

Anyway, this whole delay thing with GT5 has gotten out of control and has made me reconsider getting the 'other' console for their racing sim. I can't really say anything will make-up for this long of a wait. Not to say I won't love it, but I'm becoming bitter.:irked:

27 years old

I played all the GT's, never bored of this game and now GT 5

Can't wait to buy my first car (non used car)

I'm 19
I have been playing GT since GT1 came out! And GT1 was my first video game ever! I just can't wait until GT5 finally gets released so my dad can play it with me! :)

I'm 25, been playing since the day of U.S. release in '98.

I'm not sure how I'll approach GT5 since I'm too busy to put even 20% of the time into it that I put into the past games - saving money, getting 100% completion etc. But based on how fun GT5P is with the DFGT wheel (first time using a wheel in all my GT history), I think I'll make some time. There's always downloaded game saves for $$$ ;-)

Saving money should be alright with the B-spec mode.. just train your driver well haha

Turned 28 on Sunday.

Started with GT2 right before GT3 came out. Played GT3 for a long time trying to collect as many cars as possible. I think I was 97%.

Started trying to race clean with GT4 and think I was at 88%.

Been playing Prologue for too long! The only one I completed.:dopey:

GT5 tomorrow!

Im 23, got my first taste of gran turismo when it came to the ps2 back in 2001 when I was 14, and have owned every GT since! used to be a nintendo man, and ho-LI crap was the graphics in GT3 MIND BLOWING at the time for me!

I'll be 30 in December. Got GT 1 along with a new Dual Shock on release day in 1998, grabbed GT2 a bit after that, then got GT3 with a PS2 when they did the bundle that came with the system. I didn't play GT4 at all and only rented prologue since at the time I got my PS3 (about a year ago) I figured GT5 would be out sooner than a year. Either way it'll be great to get this tomorrow (hopefully if UPS doesn't mess up!)

I'm 26, and I've been playing GT since the beginning.

I still remember the first day I saw a Nissan 240sx in GT3. The year was 2001 My friend was telling me about this crazy over seas motorsport called "Drifting" and I fell in love with the 240.

Fast forward 2010 - I am on my 3rd 240, now with an SR20DET and I'm still madly in love with the GT series.

This is a very special occasion, as GT4 was nearly as anticipated as this for me, but the drift physics were awful! I was so sad...but tomorrow...with my g27...

15 hours!

30.

I've been playing since the first GT and can vividly remember the first preview on the game. I believe it was in GAMEFAN but not too sure. I'm gonna have to find that old magazine, but I do remember my jaw dropping seeing the first set of pics.

15. GT has been a recent favorite of mine, and I started on GT1--I eventually moved up to GT4, which was abrupt for me, and I also have GT2. Still waiting to get my copy of GT5.

I'm 18, Gran Turismo was the first video game I ever picked out. Had some great times playing it with my dad. I've gotten every release since then.

I've gone through a few wheels also, started with a Logitech GT Force (the old black and blue one), then moved on to the Driving Force Pro, and now I have the Fanatec GT3RS CS.

man i've been playing gt since it came out in 1998? im 19 now and i've owned all the gt's as well! i still remember gt1 like it was yesterday! driving around in my yellow impreza and always buying the gto and taking it to 800 horses... sigh* the games come so far :'(

20. I've been playing since launch back in '98, I was 8 then.
I still wish they kept the GT1 menu music, sound effects... and the different tracks per dealership :)

PS. Can anyone guess my favourite car? :P

62 and have been playing all of the GT games since the 1st one. How many years would that be?

Grabs a pencil and a piece of paper....., nope didn't work.
Grabs a calculator and starts crunching numbers...., nope didn't work either.
Opens up excel, pulled out my trusty bag of VisualBasic scripts and started running sub-routines to find the answer. After some serious exhaustion of bashing zero's and one's together, my PC locked up but managed to print out a calculated number of 42.

Ok, maybe not the number you were looking for, but I bet it's important. :)

I have personally been playing seriously since GT3, which is where my true love for the series came to puritan.

Got your back, Pako.

US release - May 1998. Twelve and a half years. :)

Although I'm terrible partial to 42, as well.

I'm fifteen and I've been on and off a bit since GT2. I think it was the year before GT3 came out (I was very little) and my cousin's friend had brought it and his PS1 along for a visit to my beach house. I went through a stack of probably about 20 games and since I absolutely loved cars (and still do), I picked it out of the stack and asked to play it. I did play it, and I was hooked, a little. Didn't play it again after he left.

A year later or so, I was going out to rent a game when my parents rented a movie. I had gotten my hands on a PS2 at this point, and while selecting a game, I thought "Hey, if I loved GT2 so much, I should love GT3, too!" I didnt. I have no idea why or what was behind it, but I hated it... a lot.

Sometime in between GT3 and GT4 I picked up GT2 and played it, a lot. Lots of fun.

A few years later, GT4 had recently come out (again without me knowing) and I was still in the oh-hey-let's-go-rent-a-game situation. I was probably 10 or 11 at the time. I wanted to rent Burnout 3: Takedown but my über-conservative dad wouldn't let me, and he told me to get GT4 instead because of how much I loved GT2. I complained because I didn't like GT3... but then, of course, I loved it. I bought it very shortly afterwards, became addicted, pre-ordered GT5:P, bought a DFP and here we are today. I'm in love and I'm almost embarrassed at how long it took me to realise it :P
