Im 37 and ive been there from the beginning.
Its been a loooong ride, but here we are now with GT5 imminent (apparently). Each incarnation has been a stepup from the previous one i believe. Some say GT3 was the weaker one, but id disagree with that.
Licence tests are still around, and some will be fustrating as always no doubt. The graphics are all in HD now and look superb. A far cry from the pixelated GT1. If you boot up GT 1 2 or 3 you may look at it now and kinda laugh. But man, dont let those pixelated cars and tracks fool you, as there is some great gameplay in those said games. GT4 improved again on the graphics and sound in my opinion.
Its kinda sad that compared to GT5P, GT4 looks ugly (on a HD TV anway), but again there is so much inside the game, that i think im still at around 75% complete or something. I didnt/dont get to play everyday like some do, as life well, just got in the way like it does...............damn real life huh??. Moving from England to the USA. Getting married, loosing wife to liver disease, and then just recently getting married again. I actually told her that if you marry me you marry GT as well
Lets just hope that GT5 is all that we want it to be. Like always though there will be some dissapointments for some im sure. Some of their favourite cars wont be in, or a certain feature of the game wont.
All in all from what ive seen of the leaked videos, (hmmm were they really leaked?) i think we will have another great game to consume our lives for the next 4-5 years until GT6 comes. Then we will be all here, bitching, and running down Sony and PD, all the while waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting for an OFFICIAL WORD OF RELEASE...............i could go on but i wont

Ive had some great times with Gran Turismo, and as long as my heart keeps beating, i will be enjoying.
