I'm 30, have been playing since the very beginning.
I remember when the day the original came out.
It was early morning and I was heading out on holiday. I was about two hours into a five hour car trip when I heard on the radio that GT was being released that day. I actually turned around, drove home, picked up my PSOne, went to the games store, picked up a copy, and then started my journey over again!
Needless to say, the rest of my holiday was spent in front of the tv with my dad, buzzing out at how realistic it was

I'm 35, been playing since about 2001 when I got my PS2 and GT3.

I had played some GT2 on a friends PS1, and always wanted it.

Since I got my PS3 4 years ago, I went and bought GT1 and GT2, since I wanted to play a little catch-up. Unfortunately, I simply never found the time.

Loving GT5, but I have to say, it's a little sad some things are nearly impossible to attain for those who can't sit in front of their PS3 more than 3-5 hrs a week.

I've started duping the cars I buy, so I at least keep my funds.... Not a big fan of "cheating" like that, but with limited time, I can afford the cars I really want... ;-D

I'm 27 and I played the original GranTurismo the first time on a PlayStation of a friend. I was 15 by the time. A year later I bought a PS for my self and bought F1 '97 and played that like a mad man! After that I borrowed GranTurismo 1 and played it through but never owned a copy (shame on me).
My PS broke down after a few years and I never owned another until august of last year, I bought a PS3 just so that I can play GT5...
So I missed very much everything that had made GT to what it is today but I enjoy GT5 since the release day very much. Amen to that !

23 and had Gt since the first game on original playstation... Before it got renamed PSone.
Had every single game in the series not including that psp version. So far I loved I think it was gt3 double disc edition with the blue disc that if you wet your finger abit a d rubbed it the disc smelt like tire rubber, and gt5 has pretty much not left my ps3 since the midnight launch.
Will be driving home from work in my car then turning on gt5 and then racing round nurburgring in the same as my car with out any fear of trashing my pride and joy what more can you ask for

32, and been playing since GT2, the only reason I brought a PS3 was for GT5, it was a long wait, but worth it in the end I feel. Even though when I first got the game, 20 minutes into playing it melted my old PS3 (red light of doom), so following morning, £200 on a new PS3 slim to go with my Signature Edition, all in all, this GT5 has been a expensive but worthwhile experience for me!

32, an I've been playing GT games since about a week after the 1st one came out. I have no idea why I bought it, just looked good I guess, but I've been hooked ever since.

60 and this is probably the first GT series.. IRC I played "Sportcar GT" in the late nineties(a Sierra title) but mostly GPL. So far its every day since Xmas with GT5 level 28 at the moment

I'm 16 and playing GT since GT4 release...it was second PS2 game (after GTA: San Andreas). Then played a bit of GT3 and now working on GT5:)

Wow...I'm like the Peruvian mummy compared to most lol. I'm 44 and still going full throttle! Been playing racing sim games since about 1990, with a PC game called Indy 500 (I think it was called), and every GT game out since it's conception finished to completion. Currently lvl 36 a-spec & 40 b-spec with 99% completion (still have 24hr Nurburgring to do).

I'm 30. My first GT encounter was at a high school party in 1998 playing GT1 for 5 minutes. I never had my own console but I played GT1 a few other times at a friend's house, then in college my roommates had GT3 and I just lost myself in that game. Finally purchased a PS2 in 2005 to play GT4 (and Tourist Trophy).

Im 26 and had every Gran Turismo except GT4 on the release date, even the super rubbish concept and GT4 prologue, which quite honestly put me off that generation of GT so much I let GT4 completely pass me by, never played it once. GT1, 2, 3 and the current 5 have all been the best games ive played.

If you're like the Peruvian mummy, what does that make me at 53? My son got me hooked on GT3 in late 90's and I've been playing ever since. I still pop in GT3 and start a new career every now and then. I seem to be in the minority, but I liked the career mode and replayability much better in GT3 than GT4.

28 been playing since the original. I envy all the young kids who are growing up with this game now. Between the online, trophies, and access to internet resources they don't know how good they have it.

I'm 15, started off with GT2 in around 2001, was an awesome game, got addicted. Then got GT4 when it came out in 2005, another epic game. Enjoyed it loads. :D

After that I got GT: Concept for some reason... was actually pretty cool, seemed a lot closer to GT2 than 4 of course.
