I'm 31 just bought GT5 last week. Competed all licenses 20 A spec 16 B spec and my thumps hurt.

Why's it take so long to reach level 21?

The Mazda Furai Concept 08' is one hell of a car.

20. Been playing GT using a DS(2/3) since 1997. I've only bought the main games (1-5). Prologue, Concept and all those minor games don't interest me as much.

I love the maturity in the community! Night and day between Gran Turismo and a game like... Oh I don't know COD Fail ops.

26, played a little bit on Playstation when I was younger. Only REALLY got into since GT5/P release.

68 years old and I've been playing GT since Prologue. I played NFS before that but like the realism of GT. I use a G27 wheel with a Playseat.

I've been driving sports cars since I bought my first car a MGB '66. I currently drive a Porsche 911 Turbo '08.

:idea:67 years young, Driving slow in the fast lane on the freeway, Can't figure out why everyone gives me the high sign?

Gran Turismo 5 has really high average age of players.
Mature community for the win.
18, been playing since GT1 when I randomly bought it back in 2001.
Got hooked on it, bought GT2 - the game really improved by then.
Didn't have PS2 so I never played GT3 and GT4.
Bought PS3 just because of Gran Turismo 5 and Metal Gear Solid 4.
Great times.

I'm 17 and been playing GT practically as long as I've been gaming. GT2 was the second game I ever bought (the first was Harry Potter :yuck:). I pretty much grew up with GT4 so I guess that means the most to me.

Bought my PS3 in the summer of 2008, and for a while the only game I had for it was GT5 Prologue. GT was the only reason I bought a PS3 over an Xbox, even back then.

 to GT!

37 and I bought GT1 on the day of release. It blew me away.

GT2 is still the best IMO even though it's not the best in absolute terms.

I'm 38. I got GT1 right at the start and played it constantly. Ducked out for a while and didn't play again until I got a PS2 for GT3. Then i ducked out again, bypassed GT4 and GT5P and got a PS3 just at xmas there for GT5. Started on boxing day and I'm now nearly at lvl34 A-spec and loving every single minute of it.

52, been playing since GT3 when I bought a PS2. Bought a PS3 mainly for GT (and Tomb Raider:). Built my own racing seat set up which is in my living room. (yeah I'm single).:) Nice to see I'm not the only 'mature' gamer out there!

26 - my first Playstation, which I got for Christmas in '96, came with a demo of Gran Turismo 1. Addicted ever since and bought every game on release day.

Dude, '08 Turbo, you're my hero!!!

I'm 36, and have been playing since the first GT game. I also use a G27 with a Playseat, tyvm Amazon! I highly recommend the set up, comfy and offers a great sim experience!!

I also drive a 2005 Subaru STI, with some add-ons :-) as my daily driver..very fun! I recently re-did my struts, added racing springs and went to 255s, car handles great!!

Anyway, feel free to add me for some races, my PSN ID is ken_b

26 Years Old, heres the Timeline:

GT1 - End of 1998 I was 13 years, you know, your first beer, your hormones are going crazy, your first smoke, by then all I played was Need For Speed, the only car franchise I knew in that time, and then GT appeared in my life, changing it completely, I was shocked by it.

GT2 - End of 2000 I was 15, first year in high school, my first girlfriend, my first car, and Gran Turismo 2 with a huge list of cars, played it non stop, it was a huge game, it was the best racer at that time you know changed the way we saw a racing game.

GT3 - 2002 I was 17, almost finishing hig school, PS2 had all the hype, and yes, I decided to be single because I wanted to party like it was the end of the world and drink all the booze in town, AND I had another thing in mind too, GT3 with those new graphics that were blowing everybodys mind, it was awsome, short game, but it was beatiful in an eye candy way.

GT4 - 2005 I was 20 by then, student at college, you know, another kind of responsabilities, had a beautiful girlfriend at that time, had a CLIO SPORT 172, and I knew that car was going to be in GT4, supposedly the biggest GT game ever to come from PD, everybody was expecting a huge game like GT2, with lots and lots of cars and races, and yes, thats tha way it was, I played it for 2 years with a DFPRO, it was huge fun, and you always had something to do, collect cars, races etc, they were really good times..

GT5 - End of 2010, just turned 26, my life had changed a lot since GT4, working for a big company, now lots of new responsabilities, my buddies are getting married (the crazy party times are over), I have a new girlfriend wich is the ONE, saving money for my wedding, and after over 5 years, finally, the moment ive always waited for, GT5 for my PS3 wich I bought since I dont remember expecting GT to come out, and yes, I knew once more it will revolutionize racing games, and it did in a way, but, everytime I play it, it reminds me a lot of GT4.......... And thats not so special.

GT6 - I know I will be married, probable 29 years old, expecting my first child, and no free time at all for playing my beloved game, but hell I dont care, I will be a loyal fan till I die probably in GT 13 FOR PS 10....

I'm 19 years old and I'm in college. I first played GT3 when I first got my PS2 a long time ago (can't remember exactly when). I've been hooked since. GT4 came out and that's when it became a sort of obsession lol. I finally got a racing wheel a few months ago, and I gotta say, I've been missing out all these years.

Turning 36 this year and I've been playing GT since the first one came out on PS one. A friend introduced me to GT 1 and that's the only reason I bought the PS one way back then. ;)

i'll be 31 this year.
played gt1 and gt2 on the ps1.
played gt3 on the ps2 until it broke so i missed out on gt4.
got tricked into buying an xbox for forza3 so again, i missed gt5p.
once i realized what i was missing in the ps3, i never looked back.
gt5 was released and my ps3 has not been shut off since.
all previous versions were played with a pad.
started gt5 with a ds3 but now a proud owner of a G27.
Thank you Sony, PD, and Logitech.

:scared:

Now 29 yrs old. Played all GT, still owning all of them, with all books in mint condition ;)

At this time I had a Panasonic 3DO, with Need for Speed, still remember all 8 cars: Porsche 911, Lamborghini Diablo, Dodge Viper RT/10, Ferrari 512TR, Mazda RX7, Supra TT
Corvette ZR1, Acura NSX.

Then, I bought the PSone with Need for Speed 2. Who remember all cheat codes to spawn secret vehicules? We could drive a T-Rex, and I'm not referring to the Campagna bike/car hybrid haha! And GT came!

It is in GT or GT2 that we could drive two HKS drag car ? A skyline and if my memory is good, a 180sx.

31, will be 32 in a month. Been playing GT games since the very first one. Got GT1 a few months post launch since I always wanted to play it at a friends. I skip out on Prologues because frankly... I think the existence of Prologue is blasphemy.

Nah tuga, my Son is 3...he'd tell you so, but he can't type yet. He's actually won a few races on GT5..with his beloved purple FGT. Personally, I'm 43, and I like pie. Not that it really has anything to do with anything, but dang...I loves me some pie.
