I'll be 38 this coming February.
I played Gt1, but not very often. I borrowed gt4 from a family member, and loved it, but gave it back as I was too into final fantasy 11 online to pay too much atention to any game besides.
I still love ff11, but since getting Gt5, I have been infatuated with it. I went from complete noob to honor student in about 7 months of hardcore playing. Alas, I still am a student however, and have been learning the details mostly here.
I have 'hinted' to my wife, about making sure my Xmas present this year was the gamestop pre-order bundle for gt6, lol.
By hint, I mean I posted it on my facebook with a direct link and pretty much said GET IT, lol.

I started with the Japanese GT in early 1998 while I was in high school. I didn't have a PlayStation and none of my friends even had one that could play imports so we used the swap trick. We could barely get it to work so it'd take a lot of time and effort to play just one or two races. Regardless I was totally hooked so I saved up and bought a PlayStation and modded it to play the Japanese GT.

Being playing since the Japanese release of GT1 back in December 1997. I was 19 then.

Never even considered a Playstation until I saw the incredible shots of GT1 in a preview of the game in the UK Edge magazine. No driving game at the time has such realistic cars. It was a true breakthrough game.

16 years of GT this December for me...

I'm 17 next month, and my big brother had a PlayStation when I was really young. I was 3 when I first played GT with him and since then I've collected every game in the series. :gtpflag:

I'm 50.. I've been with GT since the beginning. Started with just the controller, now I've worked up to a Fanatec CSR Elite, playseat . and I never get tired of whoopin the young-uns in GT :)

17 years old, started with GT3 back in 2001/2002... Still stuck with a controller just now, planning to get a wheel soon though.
I've actually played all the main-games from GT3 and on (including the Concept one), but I've been thinking of buying GT2 since lots of people I have met meant it's pretty good due to it's carlist and some tracks. :)

I'm 49 and bought GT5 for my grandkids. They don't play it. I'm hooked. I bought a wheel. And have a big old projection TV in the garage I sit at for days on end. Been playing nonstop since September. Level 35, and my real life project car behind me (67' Mustang) is very jealous. Just ordered 6. Come on Dec 6.

Good to know OF's like us are out there. Keep a whooping.

I'm 18, I started with GT2, i remember going over to my grandparents house and my uncle was there with his PS1 I was around 5, I then got a PS1 and the first 3 games I got were NFS High Stakes, GT1 and GT2, I played the hell out of them, at that point mainly NFS (Loved the McLaren F1 LM) but the PS2 era is really what got me hooked into GT, been a fan ever since a little over 1000 hours of gameplay has been put into GT5 since I pre-ordered it

I am 28, and my first Gran Turismo experience was with one of the Playstation magazine's Demo Disks that had Granstream Saga, Blasto, and Gran Turismo on it, with the Trial Mountain track on it. I can't remember exactly what car was available for it (I think it was the Dodge Viper?) but ever since playing that demo, I was hooked, and got the full game as soon as I could. And I've gotten every other Gran Turismo at Day 1 since. Didn't ever use a wheel on it until GT5, and since then it has taken my opinion of my favorite racing series already into the stratosphere! GT5 has been the best because of the friends and memories I share with it.

Another oldest man in here.I'm 52 and I still play GT5 and sometimes online too!>_<

"Oldest man in here"?

Hey, young fella, I'm 71!

However, I'm new to GT having just started with GT5 a couple of weeks ago, so I have a lot to learn. I'm enjoying this journey of discovery in GT5 as a preliminary to GT6.

By way of background, I came up through Forzas 1, 2, 3 and 4 on a triple screen Xbox 360 rig, and my PS3 has done little for me other than play BluRay disks. Until now! I can't fit three Xbox Ones with Kinects into either my three-screen cabinet or my budget. And it's not clear if FM5 supports multi-screen. And I don't intend to stop playing with Forza any time soon.

So GT5, here I come!

Incidentally, I also play Anki Drive which is a lot of fun. Fun of a different type to GT, but fun indeed.

im 17 years old and im be playing gt since gt4 and it is my favorite series of games so far.yeah gta v is more fun and the noise is no where near as good as forza but the gt is a best driving simulator ever.

I am 27 (28 in 20 days) been playing the series since GT1. Gt5 was my first GT game with a wheel. needless to say..my wheel will get a lot of use this weekend.

I'm 21, been playing Gran Turismo since 7 years ago (or maybe even 8). The first game I got was GT2, which I loved to the very end of it. The good ol' Lancer Evo VI in Lance Blue was probably my favorite car at the time. When I came across a GT4 video of a Sprinter Trueno at Trial Mountain, I knew I had to have that game, but it looked like an impossible dream, as we couldn't afford a PS2. But the dream came true not long afterwards, and I was the proud owner of GT4, which I played for three years, thanks to a modded PS2. People eventually moved to GT5:Prologue, and I kept playing GT4.

When GT5 came out, now that was the impossible dream. A PS3 was definitely a no-no, no way we would buy one, considering that what would cost me 2 dollars for a game in PS2, would now cost me around 100 dollars for a PS3 game. I knew GT5 would be limited to YouTube videos for me. I still remember the days we spent on this forum arguing about the game before it even came out. Criticizing the standard cars was one of the things I used to do, with fair reason, and getting called a Forza fanboy a lot because of that, even when I didn't play the game.

Then, one day my father came own with a list of games, and asked me which ones I wanted. Upon checking the list, I said, disappointed, "this is a list of PS3 games", to which my father replied "I know. Choose which ones you want". I'll never forget my emotion, as GT5 was now closer than ever. My father had won a raffle at the fabric (he works at Ford), and thus got myself a modded PS3, which obviously prevented me from going online and getting the newer games, yet I was still able to play GT5. Sadly, I didn't enjoy the game as seasonal events and the sort expanded it a lot, so I kept playing PES 2011 (now in PS3 version), which I had been playing for the past months in my PS2. GT5 was a dream that didn't turn out as I expected, for a number of reasons.

Months later, my brother arrived with a box inside a bag. He asked me to take the box out of it, and to my surprise, it was a brand new PS3, a legal PS3. The excitement was a little dampered by the fact it wouldn't be mine, "I bought it for me, but you can play with it all you want until I move". I think GT5 came along with the PS3 as well, so you can see I was pretty happy knowing it would be a whole different experience.

It wasn't much different, sadly. Yes, money was easier to get by, but the game still didn't felt as sweet as GT4 when I got my PS2. Still, the new PS3 was put to good used with the arrival of PES 2013, which I still play to this day, though not as often as a couple of months ago.

It's 2013, and I've been playing with my brother's PS3 for almost two years now. He will be moving in a couple of months, so I know my best chances of getting GT6 is to either for him to buy it before he moves, or get a job and buy a PS3 and GT6 myself. Either way, I know this is one dream that depends solely o nme, and not an impossible one by any means.

17 years old, been playing since GT1, I recently bought a well preserved copy of the game, along with a PS1.

Owner of GT1, 2 Arcade disc :(, and 5 :/

I'm missing my GT3 and 4 copies, when my brother sold the PS2 to complete the money to get the PS3 and some games (GT5 included) I told him to not give the guy my Gran Turismo games, he did not listen to me, he gave him the GT2 Simulation mode disc and GT3&4 :indiff:

I was 12 when I first played Gran Turismo :)
And its been 15 years since! :)
I had a passion for cars and the Dodge Viper was my favorite car in the world back then. Its my tradition now to make enough credits at the start of EVERY GT game with the starter car and buy the 90's Viper as its become a tradition. Even if it means me doing Sunday Cup 24/7 to grind it lol.

I'm 69, and have been playing since GT Prologue. Terrific game, and have achieved 40-40-60, as well as golding all the seasonals. I am grateful for all the help offered in this forum. Really looking forward to GT6!

I'm 18. GT4 was the first game I ever owned. I've been a fan boy ever since, in fact, my entire PS3 collection contains only two games: GT5 & GT6:lol:
