I'm 21, been playing Gran Turismo since 7 years ago (or maybe even 8). The first game I got was GT2, which I loved to the very end of it. The good ol' Lancer Evo VI in Lance Blue was probably my favorite car at the time. When I came across a GT4 video of a Sprinter Trueno at Trial Mountain, I knew I had to have that game, but it looked like an impossible dream, as we couldn't afford a PS2. But the dream came true not long afterwards, and I was the proud owner of GT4, which I played for three years, thanks to a modded PS2. People eventually moved to GT5

rologue, and I kept playing GT4.
When GT5 came out, now
that was the impossible dream. A PS3 was definitely a no-no, no way we would buy one, considering that what would cost me 2 dollars for a game in PS2, would now cost me around 100 dollars for a PS3 game. I knew GT5 would be limited to YouTube videos for me. I still remember the days we spent on this forum arguing about the game before it even came out. Criticizing the standard cars was one of the things I used to do, with fair reason, and getting called a Forza fanboy a lot because of that, even when I didn't play the game.
Then, one day my father came own with a list of games, and asked me which ones I wanted. Upon checking the list, I said, disappointed, "this is a list of PS3 games", to which my father replied "I know. Choose which ones you want". I'll never forget my emotion, as GT5 was now closer than ever. My father had won a raffle at the fabric (he works at Ford), and thus got myself a modded PS3, which obviously prevented me from going online and getting the newer games, yet I was still able to play GT5. Sadly, I didn't enjoy the game as seasonal events and the sort expanded it a lot, so I kept playing PES 2011 (now in PS3 version), which I had been playing for the past months in my PS2. GT5 was a dream that didn't turn out as I expected, for a number of reasons.
Months later, my brother arrived with a box inside a bag. He asked me to take the box out of it, and to my surprise, it was a brand new PS3, a
legal PS3. The excitement was a little dampered by the fact it wouldn't be mine, "I bought it for me, but you can play with it all you want until I move". I think GT5 came along with the PS3 as well, so you can see I was pretty happy knowing it would be a whole different experience.
It wasn't much different, sadly. Yes, money was easier to get by, but the game still didn't felt as sweet as GT4 when I got my PS2. Still, the new PS3 was put to good used with the arrival of PES 2013, which I still play to this day, though not as often as a couple of months ago.
It's 2013, and I've been playing with my brother's PS3 for almost two years now. He will be moving in a couple of months, so I know my best chances of getting GT6 is to either for him to buy it before he moves, or get a job and buy a PS3 and GT6 myself. Either way, I know this is one dream that depends solely o nme, and not an impossible one by any means.
