Just wondering how old everyone is here and how long you have been playing GT. I am 27 and have been playing the GT series since 1998, and have owned all the GT games.

I was allot better back then, through GT1 -2 and 3, and probably could show a few of the best on this board a thing or too. I am not as good now, just getting back into my stride. I remeMber with my friends, beers and wacky backy, thumping music, and countless racers and endless lap time sessions lasting all night and till the next morning.

Do not get as much time now, maybe a few hours here and there.

Anyway, I hope there are some other old fogies like me?

Much like you im 27 and i have been a gt fan from 1998

I've played with headphones for years. I love it because I can play late at night and the wife doesn't mind at all. My tv isn't as big as yours but I do have a G27 and custom racing set up in my own special den/office. I also have a second set of headphones in the living room for sports. She can read and I can enjoy. (do have to remember to take them off when she wants to talk -- causes a ruckus when I don't)

That's why I want some ... Later nights ..!!

Top Gear 3000

I love that game so much. Great music score too.

I'm 19 now, been playing gran turismo since gt4 came out so mid 2005. Been interested in the gt series since 2002 when I saw my cousins play gt3. Before that I played racing games like Top Gear 3000 (snes), Mario Kart (snes), Beetle Adventure Racing (N64), Vigilante 8 (N64), Test Drive: Off Road 3 (PC), and Midnight Club 2( PS2).

Never owned a PS1 so I didn't get the chance to play GT1 and 2.

I'm 32 been playing gran turismo since gran turismo don't remember a year but I was a teen with a job of some sort. Also lentels I loved that stupid beetle racing game for the 64

Im 17 and have played GT Since 2001.
In order.

Gt3 a-spec (omfg i still love this game)
Gt2
Gt1
Gt tokyo geneva concept
Gt4 prologue
Gt4
Gt5 prologue
Gt5 (daily!)
Gt Psp

Havent gotten Gt HD though.

I am 14 now. I started with gt4 and since then i fell into cars also with some help from my dad. Playing gt5 daily now, got gt3 from a friend and gtc tokyo geneve on a garage sale. Going to a garage sale in my village and hoping to score the older ones like gt1 or 2 or the other concepts.

Also lentels I loved that stupid beetle racing game for the 64

Had so much fun with that game. Especially the weird short cuts like the bridge jump leading to the ice cave with the flying saucer. The t-rex would always scare me when driving through the jungle haha.

I'm 16, and i've been playing since GT2. I was either 4 or 5 when I started.

Wow, super young! This is the kind of game you want to start playing as a child as you learn SOOOOO much about cars and which one is which. My world was blown after playing GT1 because I would ride on the car with my family and I would freakout because I could identify at least 50% of the cars on the road.

I thought I was a wizard hahahahahaha.

27 years old and played GT 1 as soon as it became a Greatest Hit ($20) back in the days. I bought it along with my first PS1 (such a happy day to be a kid!!!).

GT1 (when it became a greatest hits version)
GT2 (a few days after it came out)
Skipped GT3 (no PS2 :( but I still want to pick up a copy)
GT4 (first day of release)
GT5 (first day of release)
GT6 (will buy it first day of release whether it's the same crap or not. I just hope I don't have to bash it like I do GT5 sometimes)

18 Years Old;

The original Gran Turismo was my first video game that I owned for the PS1 back when I was 4 years old. I had a blast playing that and I remember getting addicted playing Gran Turismo 2 the next year when I first got it as a christmas present. It's still my favorite of the series today. I guess that I have to thank the series for getting me into cars.

I currently own the following Gran Turismo games:

- Gran Turismo (GH Version)
- Gran Turismo 2 (V1.0)
- Gran Turismo 2 (V1.1)
- Gran Turismo 2 (V1.2, GH Version)
- Gran Turismo 3: A Spec
- Gran Turismo 4
- Gran Turismo 5 (Has the current update installed and every dlc car bought)
- Gran Turismo 5: Prologue
- Gran Turismo PSP

I'm 42, been playing GT for years, but my favorite is TOCa 3 for the PS2.
And I'm so glad to see this pre-maddona Destinkeys has been banned. I was looking for a complaint department. Destinkeys is such a hypocrite, i got a video of him wrecking a guy and then he kicks the guy out of the room. I'm one of the cleanest drivers in the game and this Destinkeys smuck is trying my patience with his nasty messages. This guy has never passed me clean and god forbid if I scratch his car, then I'm the worst player in the game. Funny how everybody else we race with, likes going door to door with me. But this dude needs to be banned from the whole game. I'm just sick of his attitude and his poor driving when it comes to me. And he needs to stop with his nasty messages.

Had them all over the years.
GT4 - Completed 100%
GT5 - Since its been out, Currently at 93%, I think there is only 5 cars to collect (excluding the stealth and any non UK spec cars).....

Age: 38:)

I'm 32, got the original GT back in the day (98?)
'Borrowed' GT2 off my little brothers mate (permanently)
Bought 3 and 4 on day of release.
Bought a ps3 as soon as gt5 prologue came out, had gt5 on pre order.

I suck at the game, but I do enjoy it

just turned 32, been playing since the first game. 100% all gold in gt 1 and 2. only played gt 3 at a friends house so thats the one im least familiar with. 99,2% in gt 4, all gold.

i dont play prologues, dont waste money on what i deem unworthy.

been playing gt5, im usually doing seasonals and collecting cars, i only need 3 or 4 more rare cars and im done, so ill be concentrating on finishing a and b spec. bspec got a lot to do, a spec almost done with a couple races left.

all gold, except amg challenge and the tour. amg challenge is pretty hard, but ive only tried it a couple times (which usually is enough, not for this it seems).

I'm 23 and started playing when gt 2 first came out, it really got me into cars. Must have been around 98-99 Im sure those on here know when it came out better than I. Funny a lot of people seem to be in the same boat as me. I havent gamed much at all the last couple years but I just bought a ps3 and gt5 is the sole reason, finally getting to play 5 haha! to 100%!! Hope it takes as long as it took for me to get 100% completion on gt3

I'm 15 currently and have been playing since GT4 back in 2008. Played that all the way up 'til when I got a PS3 and GT5 in 2011. Been playing GT5 ever since

I played GT4 to 75% and then my data corrupted meaning I had to restart it. I got to 95% complete with only some minor races to finish but I gave my PS2 to my nephew. Found out this year that the save file was deleted :(

I'm 20 and started playing in the end of 2011 with GT5. I didn't think I'd like the series but I tried it and love it.

I'm 27, and have been playing the GT series right from the beginning (Green GTO FTW ). I've never fully completed any of the GT games , but have sunk enough hours into each installment to do so 5 times over :)

I have platina in gt5 and i have been playing since it came out i think 2012 or 11. Today iam playing most race games on Android. Its best graphics maybe ps4 will be better.

Im 23 in July have been playing GT since GT.
You guys are soooooooo lucky to be so young and have such wonderful games to play. These games were not around when I was young. We had to be happy just to play with our, You know what. Anyway I'll be 74 in three months. Was introduced to GT5 a year ago and was hooked from the start. I now have my own rig, the full monty, and am behind the wheel most of my spare time. If I croak while driving, at least I won't create an accident. Love the game, as we all do.

Hahahaha . . . .even an LOL wouldn't have cut it, Joe, when I read that - you lovable old codger - I had to laugh for real, well, virtually real anyway. LOL was too lame a laugh for that. If there were more guys like you out here, the world would be a more sensible place for sure. I've always thought it would be better to die at the virtual wheel, than any other way to die. Go out passing the finish line. Maybe Mission 34. Die happy.

Some questions - if you don't mind:
Have you played Gran Turismo (anything from the series) before?
Did you play other racing games before?
How did you come about becoming a GT player?
Many of these questions are asked by Jordan in his thread about introducing oneself to the site - but I am especially interested in your case - since I'm an old codger myself. I got a few decades to get through before I get to your position, but it inspires us oldies to know that people like you have not just given up on life, folded up and gone back to sleep.
Actually, oldies, today, have a vast amount of technology to keep them going - even wheelchair-bound - entertained all the way into that final sunset - not a lot that Charlie Bucket's grandparents had to do, but we have it all. 👍

:cheers;
