Its wierd. I had psone but sold it before gt1...even though I bought ridge racer revolytion. I guess I didn't believe the legitimacy of the gt series.

Come 2000 I had a Japanese PS2 with JPN gt3. Epich. Did an endurance race at uni with some mates

I'm 30.

37. I played GT1 when it came out, didn't play GT2/3/4, started GT5 early 2012

Compared to the 8 bit sprites I raced when I was a kid, GT5 is a beautiful game. Those who choose to constantly whinge and complain about it, need to take a good look at themselves in the mirror - each and every one of them is far from perfect.

I'm 27 and my first Gran Turismo game was GT2 around 1999/2000. I traded in my N64 and all the games for a Playstation. While I was choosing new games Gran Turismo caught my eye. I really did regret getting rid of my N64 because of all the great games I had had but Gran Turismo (and FF7) was what made it worthwhile.

23, Been playing GT since 1997 Which was a day one purchased that i bought with saved up money, being i was only 7 years old.

21. Played GT1 when parents bought PS1 in 98. Bought every staple game from then on along with Geneva Concept. The days when buying cars is easier than your ABCs.

I'm 21 and i've been playing GT since 1999 with GT2. I do remember playing GT1 slightly but didn't have it for long.

My first PS2 was a GT3 combo which I got in 2001, I remember the day I opened the box, many happy memories. 👍

I am 26 and have been playing GT since the first one launched. My parents new I loved cars and bought GT when it first came out. It snowballed from there.

I'm 35; I inherited a ps1 and GT almost new from a friend who's roommate passed away (my friend wasn't into video games). I liked it so GT2 was a must. GT3 spurred a PS2 purchase, followed by GT4. I bought my ps3 and gt5 prologue a month before gt5s release. My anticipation for gt6 on ps3 is positively mind consuming (i'd like a few hundred thousand more miles outta the 'ol ps3).Whoo for your testimonials .. I'm AngryEater, And I'm a Gran Turismoholic...

I've been retired for 6 years now & just got back to playing with the PS3 again 11/12 .
I bought GT5 & quit playing all the other games . Hook on it so much I had to buy the
G27 Racing wheel. Didn't want too but happy I did.... right now I'm stuck in London with the Mazda because of the 2.11 update has me 4 seconds behind.....Myself,I'm 50 & some................

31, And I started playing GT roughly 16 years ago in a supermarket on a demo machine set up to promote the game before it was launched, Straight away I thought wow, I can buy cars and bits for them and race, This game was made for me i have to have it.

Have to agree with others in this thread, GT3 made me buy a PS2, GT5 made me buy a PS3
and i bet GT6/7 will encourage me to get a PS4.

I'm 19 and have played all of the mainline GT games. I however got them in an odd order:

1) Gran Turismo 3
2) Gran Turismo 1
3) Gran Turismo 2
4) Gran Turismo 4
5) Gran Turismo 5

So in conclusion I've been playing GT games since 2001. I love this series. Definitely my favorite console-based racing game. Forza tried to steal my love, but it was no use. Gran Turismo is where my love will always be at.

Im 44 in 2 weeks ... (Pursuaded the Mrs to get me some pulse elite headphones for me b'day and the wait is killing me )..!!! Been playing gt since almost day one (early '98 I think ) got the full set up .. G27 .. Openwheeler seat .. 50" 3DTV .. Loving it !!

I'm 29, played since Gran Turismo came out on PS1. used to play on SNES Top Gear, Top Gear 2, Top Gear 3000, and N64 Top Gear Rally. All cars I owned real life are cars that are in Gran Turismo.

I've played with headphones for years. I love it because I can play late at night and the wife doesn't mind at all. My tv isn't as big as yours but I do have a G27 and custom racing set up in my own special den/office. I also have a second set of headphones in the living room for sports. She can read and I can enjoy. (do have to remember to take them off when she wants to talk -- causes a ruckus when I don't)
