I'm 16, in a couple of days 17 :D, I've been playing since gt3, gt4, then gt5 prologue and gt5.

still love to play gt4 sometimes, it sucks that my copy of gt3 broke:grumpy:

28 y.o.

Been playing since GT1 launch on THE Playstation. I own every iteration of GT and their accompanied systems and stradegy guides (in mint condition). My addiction to GT paraphernalia was not apparent until looking at the bookcase during my last move. Nearly looks like a shrine. I also collect the GT model cars and looking for more of them.

Wow, this thread is almost older than me ;)

I'm 27, started in 1998 or 1999. GT1 first, obviously. I think a demo was included on a disc that you got when you bought one of them PlayStation magazines, and then we bought the full game. Don't remember too much from GT1, mostly a blue and white Corvette, a Castrol Supra and that awesome High Fidelity special mode. GT2 was what really got me, it had so many cars and such a great diversity. It was during the same period as me and my brother followed the F1 circus and tinkered with R/C cars so it suited me perfectly. Never got a PS2 though and instead my interest shifted to PC games, like Flight Simulator, Civilization, Patrician... anything that was complicated and required more thinking rather than skills.

After school I went straight to university, and after a while I wanted to buy a DVD-player. Went to my local Media Markt and saw that the PS3 had dropped to a reasonable price level. I saw GT5 Prologue on the shelf as well and became curious to see what had happened since the days of GT2, so I bought the PS3 and GT5P and when I started up the game I was blown away by the graphics (and by the face-lifted High Speed Ring) and has been stuck ever since.

I´m 28. Played the first GT (in 1998/99). Then missed on GT2 and 3 because I had to study and my free weekends were more for party´s and hanging out with friends.
I stopped playing games at that time for a while. I was more outside that at home. lol

Then moved to Europe (2005), different life, less friends and got the PS2 with a Logitech Driving force Pro, GT4 and Tourist Trophy. (in 2006) I came back to gaming again I must say.

Then got a PS3 and a G27, got GT HD Concept, bought GT5 Prologue and finally GT5 Signature Edition.

15 and played GT3 in 2004. I was use to playing NFS & Midnight Club. But these graphics amazed me when they showed it on TV. So, I "took" it... from my cousin. Given I was only about 6 or 7, so I drove like an arcade racer. What's a brake? Now, I can do much better. I sometimes get the arcade race feel in GT5 and have to drive the X1. Other than that, I think I'm a decent racer.

I'm 24 now. Have been playing GT series from GT2 on. But before GT4, it was only "one of the games", I wasn't so interested in cars at all. At the time I had a roommate, car freak, but he didn't like to play games. So, I was driving the game and he was logistic behind the scenes :) I was his B-spec driver! After that I bought PS3 only for GT5. It's no more "one of the games", it's the only one I play. :)

Much respect. :)

40 years old here. Been playing since the first Gran Turismo launched.

I'm 16 and the addiction started when I first played GT1 at the age of 5. GT2, imo, is still the best in the series. Hopefully than will change with GT6 soon. A simple premium Supra will do it for me.

I'm 23, I started out on GT1 when it first came out and I've played all of them... very similar to most people.
I've appreciated all of them and have been playing constantly.

am 14 and own as much of the series as i can (hope i have all of them),
i started with gt3 back in 2005 and it remains the only version of the game that i own every car - in every possible colour.
i own:
  • GT3
  • GT4
  • GT1
  • GT2
  • GT4 Prologue
  • GT Tokyo Geneva
  • GT5 Prologue
  • GT5
  • and GT6 if it comes out on ps3 :)

I started with GT5 back in June, 2012 (sadly haven't played any of the other games in the series). I was looking for something me and my dad could race each other on the weekends. I now am on all the time during the weekends. I've learnt a lot about cars from gran turismo. I've lost my save file twice (including all my tunes), drag raced, and circuit raced with my uncle for 2 years (yes, at the age of 12), so I came into it with some kind of a background in racing. I now own a G27. I'm definitely buying GT6

I'm 13 years old at the moment, started with GT5, although bought GT2 a few months ago to see how it all started out. :) Platinum'ed the game mid-last year and I can say it has been an awesome game for me.
I race with a Logitech G27 on a Fanatec wheel stand and really makes the game immersive.
I mostly just race online now, with a group called Pirate Log Racing. Changed the game completely after I joined. :)
Can't wait for GT6!

14 currently. I'll be 15 in August. I've been playing GT for as long as I can remember. Literally. Even my most oldest memories from when I was 3-4 (which is when most toddlers gain the ability to "remember" things, IIRC) are of me playing GT1 and 3. :sly:
