how real do you think gran turismo is?..apart from the clutches ETC i mean teh grip and stuff like that...how realistic is it from a car?...this may be a stupid question to some of you but i jsut wondered.

Not very. Cars in GT2 have WAY too much grip.
You're joking, right? In real life that thing is overweight and will do nothing but understeer until you do major suspension surgery. So GT3 is actually more accurate than you think when it comes to that car, anyway.Originally posted by Driftster
For instance about the systems. One of my favorite cars in the game is the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4, which in real life is a very quick stock car, which is very nimble in the corners considering it's size.
Nimble is relative. Compared to other cars in it's category, (cars billed as sports cars under $50k) it certainly wasn't. Nor was (is) it competitive on a track against say, an RX-7.Originally posted by Driftster
Nimble? Yeah. Copmpetative on the track, of course. Easy to make a street legal demon? Without a doubt.
Most people who race 300ZXs disable the AWS, and comparing the Skyline's system to the 3000GT's is just silly. Bottom line, there are better (ie, faster in this case ) cars to spend your money (real or virtual) on.Originally posted by Driftster
Don't forget Cerbera, the 300ZX also has All Wheel Steering, so that should handle much better than it does. As does the Skyline BNR33 and BNR34.
Well, the r/l WRC engines have air restrictors, nailing the outputs to about 300hp.Originally posted by CerberaLM
Also, another place the game misses the mark... in GT2, the WRC cars, which IRL have barely 300HP, somehow put out 450?
Well, it's obvious that on the softest racing tires provided, the cars have far too much grip in every direction, except first gear in FR cars.Originally posted by Talentless
I've always been suspicious of the braking ability of cars in the series.
