How to win gran turismo all stars?

how do i win gran turismo all stars?
I tried using the Minolta Toyota 88c, Nissan R92CP, XJR9, but I always finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th? 👎
Anybody got any stratagies that can help me to complete this race?

P.S. I can't get the Sauber C9, Audi R8 or Any of the race cars that takes 24 hrs endurace to get because I don't have an S license and my mum won't let me on the tv for that long.
