I love the fact that I'm the only one with a Chrome Line edition muscle car.

I saw some tape of Otaku driving at Laguna  seems as though he's found his groove as well 👍 I've taken the last step in honing my driving skills aside from time on the track. No ABS, from now on I'll be racing manual w/ 0 driving aids, have been for the past few days and it feels more realistic and after you get the hang of it (I have a ways to go yet) more natural. I remember way back right after I joined TRL a rather nifty driver said to turn off my ABS @ the time I thought this guy was trying to give me some bad advice. Now I'd like to thank that guy (you know who you are Wins, oops) & to apologize in advance for any breaking issues I may run into somebody with :nervous: (pun intended). Looking forward to running muscle tuners tonight, good luck e1. :gtpflag:

Good luck with that. I have a feeling you'll be braking earlier than normal. It can be mastered. Just look at well NCRthree drove and Martin.

See ya tonight. Watch out for the penalty at the cork screw.

When abs is on 0 and approaching a turn you really have to break hard (1st turn at Mazda) when I do abs at 0, the most ill brake is 3/4ths and if I notice to lose little controll, go down to 1/2 brake which then would stop the tires from smoking and when at the right speed to make the turn I find it turning much more effectively, FF cars with 0 abs is a blast! I turned abs off for the deep forest raceway and clubman stage route 5 race last month and I was loving it! 👍

Finally got a great tune on my convertible for tonight and will be turning in no time!! GoodLuck tonight fellas!!

I'm too wimpy to turn off ABS at the moment. I'll keep it at one. See you guys tonight. The car looks a little different. :)

Me too Bionic. In happy with ABS at 1 and no other aids. I don't feel any less of a man.

I also put a new paint job on my cobra. She looks HOT!!!! Same colors as the hot rod the bandit drove. Any of you youngsters know which car I'm talking about?

What a wild and crazy turn of events! Throw out what you thought you knew about the spot you finished the race in, because we really shook things up this week!

Where to begin, lets start with the Shelby Cobras. This was a tough week on the Cobras, Randy had troubles getting his to start for the race and missed us by just 5 laps, luckily he got it running for race 2 to join us, but I think it was still giving him issues. And RacingOtaku, he gave it his all in race one, pushed the car to the edge, and blew the motor just before crossing the line. He must have one hell of a pit crew, because he was back in action for race 2.

The Shelby GT350R's seemed to be a little tail happy on this course and looked to be a bit of a challenge to tame. But when they did hook up, they were really fast, finishing back to back in race 1 in 5th and 6th.

As far as the Camaros, it was a tale of 2 different worlds this week. MBOBB did really well, where as mine, not so much. It felt like a different car from the previous week… MBOBB stayed very consistent and held on to his position against a phighting phish (see what I did there?) all of race 2.

BionicDerp has his Mach 1 tuned up real nice, and his driving stayed on point! I'm pretty sure he's got a NASCAR motor in it (not really) because it sounds amazing. It's a great looking, sounding and handling version of the Mach 1!

Now on to the big question, why was the Fish penalized in both races? There is no doubt that the Fish has been blessed with the gift of speed, but in search of those few extra 10th's, it seems pit road became part of the track, and unfortunately, it's out of bounds. It's a rare place in the game that does not give an automatic 5 second penalty, but it's still off track. This resulted in a 2 position penalty per race. Also, in a race incident that resulted in a spin, I'm forced to place Phisher behind MBOBB in race 2, before ring the 2 position penalty.

This is a good reminder that if we cause someone to spin, we must give them their spot back. If you are unsure, this is an example of when to use our miss, just pop on mic and say do you want me to wait or something to that effect. Or, just pull over and if the person passes you, they think you should let them. There have been times I've moved to let someone by and they won't pass for a second or 2, this tells me it's OK for me to keep my spot. But if you wait to the end of the race to find out, the only thing we can do is move you to that position at that time.

I'd like to address a few things as well. I do not like giving penalties, or seeing racers get upset over issues. When there is an issue, please give me a chance to review the incident, it could be in regards to track position, a weird disconnect, or an accident. But I can not give an answer on it until I review the replay. Also, for those of us on mic, the race is not over when the 1st racer crosses the finish line, it's over when the last racer crosses the finish line, or the 3:00 time limit is up. This still counts as race time and positions can still be gained and lost in this 3:00 period, please respect those racers and let them concentrate on their race by remaining on mute until that time is up.

In my opinion, this series is becoming a little too serious, and I may have instigated that by making it a "series" instead of 1 race each week, and offering a PSN Card as a prize. Depending on how the Muscle Car Challenge finishes out, I may be making some format changes for the future events. This series was designed to be fun and personal by being able to choose your own car and tune it the way you like.

Thank you all for participating, lets try and have fun out there! See you on Thursday.

Hey guys. I've tuned and practiced a lot for Cape Ring Inside already, and I might not be on much except for wednesday night, so I've placed it in my online sharing. Take it for a spin if you'd like, and let me know what you think!

I may have to take it for a spin and a photoshoot!

Had a great time last Thursday night. I can't believe I missed the 1st race by 5 laps. Second race was a good one too. Was hoping I could stick on otaku so we could catch the leaders, I know otaku did and it looked like those guys had a great time up there. I was doing ok till lap 17, my tires were toast by then. I had to baby it in and really baby her out of each turn the last 4 laps. I was all over the place . That allowed jay to catch me and then pass me on the last lap coming out of the corkscrew.

I've got to learn to manage my tires. Looking forward to this week",cape ring inside" I really like these kinds of tracks.
It'll be a fun one and a fast one.

This cobra is giving me a fit thus week.
The understeer was really bad. Do I decreased initial torque which helped a lot. But it changed other things too.

My acceleration out of turns is worse and my lap time went down by .5 almost every lap. But my turn in is better.
Think I'll adjust springs and lower accel.
Maybe adjust anti roll to help with weight transfer.

Or just start from scratch. Frustrated.

Any ideas??

The Laguna Seca races were a mixed bag for me...

I knew that I should put focus on keeping the car on track in order to maintain or gain few places...

Race 1, I did just fine and weathered an onslaught from Racing and Mbobb without making a huge mistake. It was a good experience for me keeping them at bay for as long as I could and maintained my composure but they were able to get around me later on.

Race 2 was a disaster... after the smoke cleared from the green light randy was right in front of me and I crashed into him... sorry about that... i got collision penalty... then few more errors plagued my race... I was happy to bring my car home.

I haven't driven in Cape Ring inside... I will be in Turtle Home to practice tonight as I badly need one. What lap times should I aim for?

What are your settings for front and rear camber?

Not sure what kinda times I have not ran on that track with this car yet.
