What are your settings for front and rear camber?

Not sure what kinda times I have not ran on that track with this car yet.

Im going by memory on this,Camber Fr2.4/R2.2

@johnsom shoot for under 55 secs a lap. Once you get your car dialed in try for under 54 sec a lap. Throttle control and some trail breaking in the esse's and long sweeping left hander will make for a faster lap.

Trail breaking is hard with a DS3 but it is possible to an extent.

Well you dont want to turn that up anymore or you will just chew up tires at an alarming rate. You are having turn in issues, is that correct? If it is try lowering the rear anti roll bar to see if that helps, you have to be carefull or it will make the car loose if you go to far.

Also I'd like to decrease my stopping distance some. If I soften the front springs some to allow more weight transfer to the front of the car, this will help? And if I do that should I make any adjustments to rear springs?

I get low 52's per lap. My front camber is at about 1.5 and rear is at 0.8. My brake balance is 4/2 and my everything in the front suspension for me has about 1 value less than the rear, except it's opposite for the roll bars. I take the first turn a little above 130 km/h and don't brake at all for the esses before the long left hander. I have the let off the throttle for some weight transfer to the front right, but after a few laps and tires are warm, I can go full out. I have yet to solve the puzzle that is the double apex final corner.... Or is it three? I don't even remember now. xD

I can get on to practice at around 8:15 EST tonight. Maybe you'll see me there if I can stay awake. 👍

Alot of the time you decrease the stopping distance by not stomping on the brake pedal, just depress it slowly about half way down. You would be surprised at how much that shortens the braking distance, as oppossed to putting it to the floor. A smooth pedal depress before you turn in and then as you downshift just a tap between downshifts is all you need. That should get you thru the turn smoothly without costing you a whole lot of speed. As for messing with the spring rate that will change the turn in and possibly the rear stability.

Ps3 experiencing technical difficulties. It freezes and starts running really hot when I try to load GT5. I'm going to try again tomorrow. I hope it isn't an HDD problem.

It's an HDD problem, but not going to kill my Ps3. I think the patch and the big download to make the game more efficient have been corrupted. I'll set them up to download while I'm at school and see what happens.

Well I've had no luck with my cobra yet. Still slow. I made some adjustments thus morning and but nothing better.
Hopefully I'll find a good vein in it in the morning That'll be my last shot at it before race time.Time is not my friend this week.

I hope Otaku is doing better with his chrome line cobra.

I noticed that I moved away from my original idea as time went on by adding prizes and making longer races.

I'm taking it back to my original plan of a Track Day event. The cars and tracks planned will not be changing, but the format has. 4x 15 minute races, no official qualifying, no points/prizes. Just a "Track Day" to have fun in the cars, learn the tracks, and build racing skill.

I apologize for not making it to the races last night gentlemen. In sure I missed a good time.

It looked like there were some great battles out front, and the wins went 3 to the Fish, 1 to Bionic.
I on the other hand had a very bad race, my pedals failed on the start line in race one, had to switch to ds3 on the fly, got them back for race 2/3/4, but the accel was very choppy. Couple that with being off my game and a lot on my mind, I spent lots of time out in the grass and spinning out. My worst performance in months...
I'll try and get some photos for the weekend. Shooting a wedding tomorrow, so it's going to be another busy weekend!

Sorry you had problems jay. If I had of made it sounds like you and I would have done a lot of racing together. My fastest lap i could pull off in my cobra was a .54:4

Yeah, the last race I got involved in jays wreck on the first turn. Was kind of funny. He went back solid and I hit him and went off track. Oh well! Lots of fun last night! Thanks jay for hosting! 👍
